As crazy as that sounds, we can trust God that he will provide us with everything we need to follow him in this way. Eine himmelblaue Kerze. Blau ist immer das Zeichen für Himmel. Die blaue Kerze erzählt von einem Licht vom Himmel. Brennen und doch nicht verbrennen. Das ist nicht normal. Das kommt Mose seltsam vor. Ein Dornbusch brennt und verbrennt nicht. Das muss er sich anschauen. Er betritt heiligen Boden. Die Flammen kommen vom Himmel. In diesen Flammen versteckt sich Gott. Stopp! Keinen Meter weiter! Zieh deine Schuhe aus! Hier ist der Himmel auf der Erde. Himmel in einem Dornbusch. Gott kann man nicht anfassen und greifen. Er ist brennende Liebe. Seine Liebe brennt und leuchtet für uns Menschen. Gott brennt für Recht und Gerechtigkeit, für Güte und Barmherzigkeit. Gott hat gesehen: Sein Volk wird gequält. Der König von Ägypten macht sie zu Sklaven. Sie werden geschlagen und zu schwerer Arbeit gezwungen. Das will Gott nicht erlauben. Und nun soll Mose sich auf einen Weg machen. Er soll zum König von Ägypten gehen und sagen: Lass Gottes Volk frei. Wie ist dein Name, Gott? Ich bin der Ich bin immer da. Geh und sage dem König von Ägypten. Mich schickt mein Gott. Mein Gott ist immer da. Lass mein Volk doch ziehen. Mose hat Angst. Er sagt: Nein! Ich kann nicht so gut reden. Gott gibt ihm seinen Bruder Aron mit. Er kann gut reden. Auch uns werden im Leben Menschen geschenkt. Sie können uns helfen. Wir werden anderen Menschen geschenkt. Wir können ihnen helfen. Wenn wir zusammenhelfen, können wir die Erde gerechter machen. Wenn viele Menschen das Gute wollen, können Wunden heilen, können Menschen vergeben, können Menschen und ganze Völker Frieden schließen. Gott will nicht das Böse. Er will das Gute. Die himmelblaue Kerze bringt Licht in die Dunkelheit. Licht vom Himmel. Gott schickt Mose, Gott schickt uns. Wir sollen uns für Recht und Gerechtigkeit, Güte und Barmherzigkeit einsetzen. Jedoch steckt dahinter nicht die etwaige erfolgsheischende Absicht, frühe Erfolge durch einen schnöden Neuaufguss zu wiederholen: "Es geht nicht darum, den Sound unseres ersten Albums zu kopieren", erklärt Pritchart, "sondern zu den Wurzeln unserer Einflüsse zurückzukehren und uns zu fragen: 'Was ist die Identität dieser Band?'" Auf jeden Fall eine andere, als noch vor Kurzem – scheint doch die "Neugeburt" nicht ohne die entsprechenden Schmerzen vonstattengegangen zu sein und das aktuelle Kern-Line-up der Kooks derzeit nur aus Luke und Lead-Gitarrist Hugh Harris zu bestehen.
