In recent years, large language models have greatly improved in their ability to perform complex multi-step reasoning. However, even state-of-the-art models still regularly produce logical mistakes. To train more reliable models, we can turn either to outcome supervision, which provides feedback for a final result, or process supervision, which provides feedback for each intermediate reasoning step. Given the importance of training reliable models, and given the high cost of human feedback, it is important to carefully compare the both methods. Recent work has already begun this comparison, but many questions still remain. We conduct our own investigation, finding that process supervision significantly outperforms outcome supervision for training models to solve problems from the challenging MATH dataset. Our process-supervised model solves 78% of problems from a representative subset of the MATH test set. Additionally, we show that active learning significantly improves the efficacy of process supervision. To support related research, we also release PRM800K, the complete dataset of 800,000 step-level human feedback labels used to train our best reward model. 2023: Hunter Lightman, Vineet Kosaraju, Yura Burda, Harri Edwards, Bowen Baker, Teddy Lee, Jan Leike, John Schulman, Ilya Sutskever, Karl Cobbe Ranked #1 on Math Word Problem Solving on MATH minival (using extra training data) https://arxiv.org/pdf/2305.20050v1.pdf

Harlands Accountants - The Evolving Accountant

Maki & Ramen was founded by Teddy Lee. His journey began as a Chef, studying in a sushi academy in Tokyo, with an aim to introduce high-quality ramen and sushi to our local communities. With hard work, resilience, and a solid team, he founded the first MAKI & RAMEN in 2015. It is proudly standing today alongside other branches, serving hundreds of hungry customers each and every day. Now that they have extended their reach around the UK, Maki & Ramen's objective is simple: to provide delicious, accessible, and high-quality dishes to all their guests. Teddy believes they can get there, one bowl, or one sushi plate at a time.During the conversation with Teddy, we discuss:Teddy's journeyOpening the first restaurantBeing 'Insta' ReadyFollowed by opening many more (quickly)Behind the scenes in the factory with production speedsWhat's coming soon for Maki & RamenRecommended readingContact Harlands Accountants / The Evolving Accountant Tweet us at @Harlands_NE Give us a follow on LinkedIN Give us a Like on Facebook Email us at host@theevolvingaccountant.co.uk Don't forget to leave us a review Thanks for listening!

Director Justin Chon and actors Tiffany Chu, Octavio Pizano, and Teddy Lee discuss their new film MS. PURPLE with moderator SuChin Pak. Recorded at Landmark's NuArt Theatre on 9/6/19. SYNOPSIS: Ms. Purple, from award-winning filmmaker Justin Chon (Gook), is the poignant story of the family loyalties of an Asian American brother and sister, set in a dreamy vision of Los Angeles' Koreatown, reminiscent of Wong Kar-wai's In the Mood for Love. Kasie (Tiffany Chu) struggles to take care of her comatose father at home, refusing to put him in hospice, because he raised her and her brother when their mother abandoned them. Kasie works as a Koreatown karaoke hostess, making good money keeping obnoxious drunken businessmen happy, and is well able to handle herself, but when her father's in-home nurse quits, she is desperate. She calls her estranged brother Carey (Teddy Lee) to come home and help care for their father, and he agrees. As they reconnect over their dying father, Kasie and Carey confront the deep emotional wounds of their difficult shared past, attempting to mend their relationship. Winner, Grand Jury Prize for Narrative Feature, Dallas International Film Festival.
