Sing! Dance! Act! Thrive!

Welcome to Sing! Dance! Act! Thrive! featuring conversations with performing artists and industry influencers on what it takes to succeed in the arts. I am your host Diane Foy and I believe that you really can make a living from your creative talents. As a publicist, podcaster and coach, my mission is to educate, motivate and empower you to thrive in the arts with authenticity, creativity, and purpose. Hello and welcome to episode 0 of Sing! Dance! Act! Thrive!  This is an introduction episode to let you know a bit about me and what you can expect from the podcast. I have been a publicist for 15 years and have helped hundreds of creative artists increase their profile and secure international media coverage. Some musicians that you may have heard of that I have worked with include Perry Farrell, Sass Jordan, Fernando Saunders, The Parlotones, D.O.A., and CeeKnowledge aka Doodlebug.  Actors have included Mackenzie Phillips, Robert Loggia, Tyler Blackburn, and Robb Wells. Although I have collaborated with celebrities, I feel the most accomplished helping independent artists achieve success. Publicity has changed a lot over the years and it is getting harder and harder for indie artists to receive media attention. It is no longer enough to have a new project to promote, artists have to have a professional and authentic personal brand, and a thriving following on social media. Although I offered advice to artists on what they could do to improve their chances with media and to advance their career, I saw many of my PR clients struggle with their creativity, marketing and being an entrepreneur. I wanted to find a way to help them on a more personal level, which inspired me to become a certified life, business and creativity coach. Now I have a way to share what I’ve learned from 25 years’ as a multi-passionate creative entrepreneur. My journey through photography, makeup artistry, journalism, artist management, public relations, and coaching is the result of a lifelong passion for arts and entertainment. As creative artists, you have the power to change lives with your talent, the Sing! Dance! Act! Thrive! podcast and coaching programs are here to provide tools, motivation, and support. I still love publicity and now I also help performers with the key foundation pieces to get them ready for a kick-ass PR campaign and together we will ensure that the world gets to experience that life-changing power. The podcast will feature interviews with thriving musicians, actors, dancers and industry influencers sharing their creative journey including the ups and downs along the way.  I will host solo shows coaching on creativity, branding, marketing, and entrepreneurship. There is a private Sing! Dance! Act! Thrive! Facebook group where you can network and learn from other performing artists. If this sounds like the podcast for you please subscribe on your preferred podcast app so you never miss an episode.  New episodes launch every Wednesday. Thanks for listening to Sing! Dance! Act!
