The longshoremen union and the UMX came to a temporary agreement recently but it only kicked the can to January...and it's not looking good. It's not just about money; it's one of the first major battles in the coming war between workers and automation. We'll explain why it's not so simple. PLUS we've got some Harvard nerds who figured out one of the worst use cases for the new $META smart glasses, and a poor Canadian sap who made $306 million dollars and then lost it all. What a week. What an episode. HUGE shout out to Kyla Scanlon and her article on the Longshoremen strike, which you can check out here: https://kyla.substack.com/p/the-biggest-man-made-disaster-ever?r=1lckxb&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web&triedRedirect=true Leave a comment to be featured as the comment of the week next week! · Tracklist: - D’Arcangelo_Beta IV (WeMe Records). -Dj Overdose_0 = O’vvroOOMM (Dálmata Daniel). -Heinrich Dressel_Down Upsight (Electronic Leatherrette). -Arpanet_Axis Of Rotation. -Solid Blake:Warp Room (Seilscheibenpfeiler). -Der Zyklus_Roche Limit (V2) (Frustrated Funk). -The Isolator_Distance (Lockertmatik). -C-Lektro_6 Untitled A1 (C-Lektro). -Passarani 2099_Zep Tepi (Final Frontier). -Corporation Mindfuck_Winds Of Corruption (Hard Beach Entertainment). -Dopplereffekt_Hayflick Limit (Leisure System). -Clatterbox_Genetic Code (Frustrated Funk). -214_Ground Patching (Klakson). -Dj Frankie_Death Or Death (Source Material). -St. Theodore_Tha Man Who Sold The World (Land Of Dance Records). -L.F.T._Follow The Operator (Acid Avengers). -The Advent_Track 4 (Heinrich Mueller Remix) (WeMe Records). -Norwell_Celestian Bodies (Imre Kiss “Crisis ’91 Mix) (Dálmata Daniel).
