Fetullah Gülen'in neden “hocaefendi” olmadığı herkese anlatılmalıdır.

Her cuma akşamı TVNET ekranlarında gerçekleştirdiğimiz tartışma programında, 15 Temmuz'un yıldönümüne denk gelmesi nedeniyle FETÖ konusunu gündeme taşıdık.
We have FINALLY booked and committed to our frozen embryo transfer cycle, I am currently on day 26 of my cycle (the cycle before our FET cycle), I took the injection on day 21 of my current cycle to shut my ovaries down to go in to a fully medicated transfer. We talk about the realisation that I have been suffering for (likely) years with perimenopause and I have just discovered HRT and now I have to wave goodbye to it, all within the same month, so I can start my FET IVF protocol! This is literally a hormonal rollercoaster and we are just taking things one step at a time. Thank you for coming along with us and we hope that you enjoy the episode!all our love, Emma and GarethFind daily updates on my instagram https://www.instagram.com/emmakbelle

Escuchar audio
Send us a textYou've heard of estrogen, maybe even LH—but the real superhero in fertility? It's progesterone. In this episode of Taco Bout Fertility Tuesday, Dr. Mark Amols reveals how progesterone silently supports pregnancy, stabilizes the uterine lining, and prevents early contractions—all without the recognition it deserves. We break down the science: how progesterone is made from cholesterol, how it converts into testosterone and estrogen, and how granulosa and theca cells work together to build a pregnancy-ready uterus.Plus, Dr. Amols explains why blood levels may look “low” on vaginal progesterone, why that doesn't mean treatment failure, and why route of delivery really matters—especially in frozen embryo transfers.Whether you're trying naturally, doing IUI, or planning an FET, this episode will help you understand what progesterone is really doing behind the scenes—and why it might just be the most important hormone you never thought about. Thanks for tuning in to another episode of 'Taco Bout Fertility Tuesday' with Dr. Mark Amols.
Escuchar audio

Bu satırları yazarken iki grubun tepkisini şimdiden görür gibiyim: Birinci grup; küresel Siyonizm'den başlayıp FETÖ'cülerle devam eden ve ana muhalefetin karşıtlıktan muhakemesini yitirmiş, iyiyi kötüden ayırt edemez hale gelmiş, “Erdoğan'dan gelecek iyilik Allah'tan gelsin” diyen, aklını kiraya vermiş kesimdir.

Taxpayers Alliance Chief Economist John Humphreys joins the FET podcast to talk all things tax. Is it possible to tax unrealised gains, as is proposed on superannuation accounts over $3 million in value? Maybe. But why bother doing it when it mostly changes the timing of taxation rather than the revenue? We speculate as to whether it is a daring political manoeuvre—propose something you know your opposition will find outrageous to trick them into arguing for exactly the tax setting you actually want.Enjoy this conversation on taxes, strange politics (where was this super-tax conversation pre-election?), my favourite topic of Effective Marginal Tax Rates, and more. Side note: One thing John and I have in common is that we both want to scrap the superannuation system. I explain my reasons in this article. As always, please like, share, comment, and subscribe. Escuchar audio
Given the Australian media's obsession with the housing crisis, it would come as a shock to many that the share of after-tax disposable income spent on rent by renter households is lower in 2025 than it has been for most of the last decade. But that's what ANU Professor Ben Phillips found in his latest research on rental affordability (you can find it here or download it below). In today's FET video podcast, I chat with Ben about this surprising data and how we can make sense of it in light of current housing “crisis” debates. A key part of the story is this chart. It shows the share of disposable income (after-tax) income spent on housing for renter households. Notice that the most unaffordable period by this metric was 2012-2018.The situation is not great for renters on the lower incomes. There are people struggling at the bottom of the income distribution to keep up and rent where they previously could. But they are struggling to compete with those household who can pay higher rents. One interesting part of our discussion was the big difference between the price growth in rent advertisments and price growth of rents paid by all renter households. The chart below, from Ben's report, shows that advertised rents (in this case using Corelogic's data) diverge from rents paid by all renters in a cyclical way, and by a surprising amount, with advertised rents being between 10% and 40% higher than rents paid by all renters. Currently, the gap is near record highs. The existence of a gap comes from the fact that turnover in the rental market is about 2.5% per month, or 30% per year, and the distribution is such that some properties turnover more than others and hence appear more regularly in the advertised rental figures. But why is the gap so cyclical? We also chat about the fierce media debate playing out around the proposal to increase tax on the gains in superannuation accounts for the marginal amount over $3 million, which is just the top 0.5% of accounts. This has been a hot topic online. We chat about the feverish and unhinged reaction to what is a minor tightening up of an overly generous tax break that affects very few people. And if you missed my recent deep dive into why scrapping superannuation could make us all better off, try this article. As always, please like, share, comment, and subscribe. Thanks for your support. This week's EYE ON NPI is another onsemi device - this week we're looking at the NIV3071 4-Channel eFuse Solution (https://www.digikey.com/en/product-highlight/o/on-semi/niv3071-4-channel-efuse-solution) a power distribution manager that can lets you manage a product with a lot of power domains and supplies using just a couple GPIO pins. This week's product is an upgrade from the covered-earlier NIS5420 (https://blog.adafruit.com/2021/09/09/eye-on-npi-onsemi-efuse-porfolio-eyeonnpi-digikey-onsemi-digikey-adafruit/) - with a higher 8~60V input range, and 4 independently-controlled channels. When people first meet fuses, they usually see and think of classic 'wire' fuses (https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/bel-fuse-inc/5ST-200-R/1009012) with ceramic or glass or thermoplastic bodies, and a thin wire inside. When too much current goes through the fuse wire, it gets hotter and hotter and eventually melts, cutting off the load from the source voltage. These kinds of fuses are super cheap, very-very-low resistance, easy to find at any hardware store, and there's lots of suppliers with various current limits. However, they're one-shot usage only and only good for over-current, can't act as switches/sequencers. You need to have a way for customers to access the fuse in order to replace it. For those reasons, a lot of engineers prefer going with 'poly fuses' - fuses that are easy to mount into a circuit that auto-reset after a time (usually minutes) so that a temporary overload doesn't make the device a brick so quickly. For example, we have a chunky 24V 5A hold / 10 A trip polyfuse (https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/littelfuse-inc/2016L260-24MR/6347052) on the Sparkle Motion board design (https://www.adafruit.com/product/6100), designed to protect folks who accidentally have a short in the output LED strings, and want to avoid damaging the power supply or main board. Poly-fuses are a great step-up from plain wire fuses: they're fairly inexpensive, available from lots of suppliers with various current limits, and best of all the fuse auto-resets after cooling down. However, like wire fuses, they're good for over-current, can't be reset, and have some variation depending on ambient temperature: you may trip 50% higher if its cold, or lower if its hot. Thus the next generation of fuses: eFuses (https://www.digikey.com/en/product-highlight/o/on-semi/efuse-automotive-circuit-protection)! As you could imagine, these are pure-silicon fuses, with a chunky N-FET that acts as the cut-off switch, and current limiting managed as an analog feedback loop that will cut the FET when too high. We get the resetability of a polyfuse, with additional control like sequence-able enable pins and under-voltage lockout. Note that some eFuses also can do over-voltage clamps and negative voltage protection, but the NIV3071 (https://www.digikey.com/short/3v0thr1p) doesn't contain these protections, so you may want to implement those protections separately. Especially designed for automotive power systems, which tend to be 12V/24V/36V/48V multiples, the NIV3071 (https://www.digikey.com/short/3v0thr1p) is AEC−Q100 qualified and PPAP capable (https://www.onsemi.com/pub/collateral/tnd6284-d.pdf). The use of eFuses is becoming popular as cars have become more computerized and electrified, with each 'zone' in a car (https://www.onsemi.com/solutions/automotive/zonal-architecture) - such as entertainment, communication, lighting, charging and sensors - all needing separate power management. If you don't need automotive qualifications, the functionally-compatible NIS3071 (https://www.digikey.com/short/9v2dmvhf) is a couple of cents cheaper. This family of eFuses is good for up to 60V and 2.5A per channel, but if you need more per channel you can just double or triple them up to add 2.5A per. If you want less per channel, to protect low-power devices from overheating or accidental shorts, the current limit can be reduced with an external resistor. And of course, you can turn on/off each channel with a GPIO enable pin: great for sequencing your power chain to reduce stress on the power supply from inrush current, or to allow each section to stabilize and go through self-test. For your next power supply design, the onsemi NIV3071 (https://www.digikey.com/short/3v0thr1p) and NIS3071 (https://www.digikey.com/short/9v2dmvhf) offer high-voltage, high-current control in a small package and a great price. Both are in stock right now at DigiKey for immediate shipment, so you can book today and start integration by tomorrow afternoon.

There is an interesting debate taking place in urbanist circles. Is more density good for families because it helps reduce housing costs, or bad for families because it creates a lifestyle and environment that is not conducive to large families?Indeed, we might consider changing our policies and regulations based on what we think is the answer to this question. But do we have a reasonable answer?Daniel Hess runs the More Births Substack and is on Twitter @MoreBirths. Daniel has taken up the case against density because of its potential fertility effects and is my guest for this FET podcast video episode. Here is one of his articles on the topic. But Daniel is not alone in his concerns. The negative correlations between urban density and fertility are clear to many. In this episode, we discuss global and national fertility trends, and I push Daniel to justify why we should be concerned about these trends—after all, low-fertility places are the better places to live, have more opportunities for women, and many nations historically encouraged lower fertility to generate economic growth. In Hong Kong, the saying was “Two is enough”. In South Korea, it was “Stop at two, regardless of sex”. In Bangladesh, it was “One child is ideal, two children are enough”. Were they all wrong? I press Daniel to make the case for why low fertility is so bad, given that low fertility countries are generally the most desirable ones to live in. Here are three previous FET articles on the general topic, which show that I am not so concerned about declining fertility. A main issue Daniel identifies when it comes to the effect of housing density on fertility is the step-change in appropriateness of housing for families when increasing density from detached homes to apartments, even if the internal space in each dwelling is similar. Because of this, suburbia could be the secret sauce for high fertility. This makes intuitive sense to me.My own home is about 100 sqm internally, which is not too different from many nearby apartments. But it is on a 300 sqm lot and is therefore much more family-friendly than the 100 sqm apartments available in buildings just down the road. Maybe intermediate densities, like the small homes and townhouses that are more popular in new subdivisions these days, can still be as conducive to family formation as homes on large lots while economising on space and infrastructure. Unfortunately, this density is the most difficult to promote in existing areas where incremental change to much higher density and towers is usually the most economical for the property owner. We didn't have a chance to dig into the popular idea in urbanist circles that the market will accommodate all needs at all locations, but regulations prevent large apartments that can accommodate families from being built. If we could deregulate to unleash the large-format family apartment, then this fertility and density issue might be resolved. For example, here's one such statementThe fastest growing category of Toronto homes have zero bedrooms: Bachelor units grew by 28 per cent, jumping from 22,355 to 28,765."Basically, the only housing getting created in Toronto tends to be high-rise: 30, 40, 50 storeys," Mr. Moffat said. It's hard to put in units with three-plus bedrooms in those types of buildings.A mix of high land costs, restrictive zoning, using investors as preconstruction funders and high development charges pushes builders away from creating family-style units, according to Mr. Moffatt.I think such claims are 180 degrees wrong on the effect of regulations. Generally, if town planning rules limit housing types, they do so by preventing apartments so that detached homes are built instead, or requiring apartments that are built to be above a minimum size (or, in the language of The Great Housing Hijack, they restrain uses below the density equilibrium). But even having more three-bedroom and larger apartments would miss the step-change benefit of detached housing for families.Daniel comes down on the side of zoning regulations that promote detached homes where they would otherwise not be the market outcome. A key economic pattern that comes up in our conversation is that although young people have many detached housing options in smaller towns, they still commonly move to large cities and pay a premium to live in smaller apartments. For example, in Japan, small towns are giving away houses for free to try and attract families. In Australia, as in most places, housing is large and cheap in regional towns, yet the young people who grow up in those towns usually leave for higher-density places. Should we take this as evidence that low fertility and higher density lifestyles are a choice being actively made? If so, why is it bad? Finally, what of fertility policy?Should we pay a $5,000 per-child baby bonus, like Australia has done, and now Donald Trump is proposing? Or are social and cultural factors more important? After all, a lot of the decline in fertility was promoted through intentional moral suasion and cultural shifts, so perhaps this is the way it will reverse. I hope you enjoy the episode. Helping families feel involved in their child's school experience is a challenge; and underrepresented populations may often feel like their voices aren't being heard. While it can help if school staff buy in to the idea of family engagement, it's difficult for schools to make it happen without the right systems in place. That's why I invited Ari Gerzon-Kessler to episode 200 of De Facto Leaders to talk about the “Families and Educators Together”, or FET team framework he's developed. Ari Gerzon-Kessler is a sought after speaker and professional learning provider. He is the author of “On The Same Team: Bringing Educators & Underrepresented Families Together,” which won the Gold Medal from the Independent Publishers Book Awards for outstanding education book of 2024. He also leads the Family Partnerships department for the Boulder Valley School District (CO).Ari has been an educator since 2000, having served as a principal and bilingual teacher. In 2006, Ari was a recipient of the Japan Fulbright Memorial Fund. As principal, his school received the Governor's Distinguished Improvement Award in 2013. His leadership efforts to strengthen partnerships with underrepresented families and dismantle unjust practices was featured in Education Week in 2015.In this conversation, we discuss:✅How to get and keep families engaged in the “Families and Educators Together” (FET) Team✅What's the difference between the PTO and the FET team, and how can these two teams work together.✅“Event-based” planning versus “Engagement-based” planning?✅Using a combination of technology and in-person events to increase equity and help families feel more included in their children's school experience.✅How to set up systems that enable educators to have regular positive communication with families.
