Kim Ades (pronounced add-iss) is the President and Founder of Frame of Mind Coaching™ and JournalEngine™ Software. Recognized as an expert in the area of thought mastery and mental toughness, Kim uses her unique philosophy and quirky coaching style to help business owners and leaders identify their personal blind spots and shift their thinking in order to yield extraordinary results. Author, speaker, entrepreneur, coach, and mom of five, Kim’s claim to fame is teaching her powerful Frame of Mind Coaching process to executives, entrepreneurs, and senior leaders world-wide. What you’ll learn about in this episode: How Kim has demonstrated the importance of building business resilience in her own coaching business by adapting to virtual coaching during the global pandemic How the key to developing resilience is by letting go of struggles and leverage opportunities, and why the first step is to stabilize yourself How Kim defines resilience, and why taking control of your mindset is an important aspect of resilience What three-step process Kim coaches business owners and leaders through to stabilize themselves and become stronger leaders through adversity Why Kim is focused on “doing fewer things but doing them extraordinarily well”, and what the process of working with Frame of Mind Coaching looks like Why too many clients define their goals but then act in ways completely contrary to getting to those goals, and how Kim helps them realign their actions to their goals What major coaching mistakes business owners often make, and why “being empathetic” isn’t the same as being understanding Why too often business leaders focus on behaviors rather than on the beliefs that are driving those behaviors Why, instead of offering instant solutions, you should work to empower your team to find their own solutions Kim offers two questions you should write down and answer that can help you achieve greater clarity on your mindset and help you in building business resilience Resources: Listen to Kim’s previous appearance in Onward Nation Episode 215 Learn strategies for building business resilience with Kim’s The Frame of Mind Coaching Podcast Email Kim@frameofmindcoaching.com Visit Kim’s Website for more information on her coaching Kim’s LinkedIn Frame of Mind Coaching’s LinkedIn Frame of Mind Coaching’s Facebook Kim’s Twitter @kimades Additional Resources: Free Executive Leadership Summary report from Predictive ROI: https://predictiveroi.com/research Sell With Authority by Drew McLellan and Stephen Woessner: https://amzn.to/39y7x13 Predictive ROI Free Resource Library: https://predictiveroi.com/resources/ Stephen Woessner’s LinkedIn: www.linkedin.com/in/stephenwoessner/

Thousands are protesting in London against President Trump's state visit to the United Kingdom. Demonstrators have filled Trafalgar Square and a giant blimp depicting the president as an angry orange baby has gone up in Parliament Square. At a news conference with Prime Minister Theresa May, Trump said the U.S. is committed to a "phenomenal" trade deal with Britain as it prepares to leave the European Union. May is stepping down this week as head of her Conservative Party. The powerful younger sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has attended a public event in Pyongyang....for the first time in more than 50 days. Her appearance has cast further doubt on media speculation that he had ordered her to lay low over a failed nuclear summit with Washington. Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden is proposing a $5 trillion climate plan. He says it would lead the U.S. to net zero emission of carbon pollution by 2050.

Our special guest is Kim King, author of the book When Women Give: The Adventure of a Generous Life. Kim is a member of the leadership team of Women Doing Well Initiatives, Inc., an affiliate of Generous Living, which provides education and tools for women to facilitate generosity. She previously served as an attorney and manager in the law department of Exxon Mobil Corporation for over thirty years, and she continues to privately practice assisting nonprofits and the under-served. Kim is passionate about helping women fulfill their purpose to the glory of God. She has served on the boards of various ministries and organizations, including Hope International, the National Christian Foundation-Houston, and the Women’s Council of InterVarsity. She loves to learn, write, and teach, and she has been featured as a keynote speaker at events around the country. She lives in Houston. Women are entrepreneurs, highly paid professionals, and leaders in business. Many of us have skills to give. We are marrying later. Many of us have time to give. Women are also likely to manage the family money for a significant portion of their lives. Many of us have money to give. When Kim King, a former corporate lawyer, began her own giving journey she found herself short on resources that would guide her along the way. She faced many questions: How much do I give? How do I find good organizations that are efficient and effective? What are some of the common methods of giving? How do I find others to join me on this journey? Most of all, she was eager to root all of her decisions in a biblical framework. When Women Give is filled with practical advice and stories to foster growth in giving at any and every level. Kim shares openly from her own story, both from her perspective as a donor and from serving on the boards of several Christian nonprofits. If you want to be a wise steward of what you've been given, then this book is for you.
