From the 2021 PCA Trade Show, we talk to Liana Fuente of Arturo Fuente Cigar Company. For as long as I have been covering PCA/IPCPR Trade Shows, Arturo Fuente and J.C. Newman's “street design” has been a staple of the show. When I heard both companies would be redesigning the booth, it was hard to imagine what they would do differently. This year, the companies still had adjacent booths. While J.C. Newman highlighted it's 111-year-old El Reloj factory, Arturo Fuente took a different approach – putting together a booth that showcased the rich history of the Fuente family and the artesian work that has become associated with its brands. Artists not only create works of art. History has shown the important role they played in shaping our consciousness and environment. Every piece of art will resonate with someone, somewhere. It initiates dialogue and conversations; it stimulates action; it inspires change and growth. To this episode’s guest, Jörg Reckhenrich, therapy, coaching, and deep self-inquiry can come through art. You can apply and implement art thinking for business, entrepreneurship, everyday problem-solving...to practically everything! While Jörg is an artist himself and became a gallery owner, he didn’t like art books or theories in his younger days. Observing artworks and going deep into conversations about perceptions was what drew him into this lane. To him, it's not about the artwork itself, it's about the resonance of the person who's looking at that piece of art. Experiencing the power of art, it became important for Jörg to share it with people and spread positivity. Combining art coaching, positive psychology, and systemic attitude has become his wonderfully pieced together work-of-art to scale learning, education, and leadership. Coaching through art starts with a free conversation about a general topic before questions are posed. But it’s not like the conventional coaching process—the coach doesn’t always have to be the one who asks and the coachee answers. It’s a multidirectional learning process; from observation to context and real-life questions and problems. And as the landscape for learning is changing, especially these days, coaching through art has become even more relevant and effective. Especially because in art, it's not about knowing better, but daring to be out there and just doing it; trying to shift the world with the simplest notion. Always start with pure perception and the dialogue will emerge. - Jörg Reckhenrich  Let go of the things why you observe an art piece. The choice you do has so much to do with your own ideas, questions, your involvement. - Jörg Reckhenrich  It's not about knowing better, but daring to be out there and just doing it. Trying to shift the world with the simplest notion. - Alexandra Kreis Have the courage to try out before you think too much. If you see and sense something that interests or stimulates you, go for it. Do and make a new experience, and then learn from it. That's the artist's way. - Jörg Reckhenrich Guest Bio Jörg Reckhenrich is an artist, systemic consultant, and business coach. He is the founder of PParts, a consultant company that combines positive psychology with Art Thinking. Jörg is a member of the faculty at CEIBS (Zürich Institute of Business Education) and visiting lecturer at IMD Lausanne, London Business School, ESMT, and ESCP Berlin. Reckhenrich has been listed as one of the world’s “top 25 management thinkers” by the journal Business Strategy Review. We're back! What a way to kick off season two of The Texas Porch! Josh and J.P. take turns breaking down their favorite teams while also busting each others baseballs a bit. 2:50 - Josh's biggest Astros storyline of the season is obviously fans taking their shots at them after the well documented cheating scandal. While J.P. couldn't care either way but knows they'll be wearing the black hat. 9:10 -  J.P.'s biggest Rangers storyline is LOSING! Get ready for it and bring it on, but with new GM Chris Young and so many guys at new spots don't expect any winning anytime soon. But find a few guys to build for the future. 13:45 - J.P. looks at the Rangers rotation and the minor league experiment with the back of their rotation.  18:00 - Josh talks about the Astros rotation with the shocking news that it's better than the Rangers! Greinke and company should keep them in contention.  22:10 - They discuss the Astros lineup with some new faces but Jose Altuve will be in the leadoff spot. And then the contentious Kyle Tucker debate gets tense.  27:50 - J.P. goes into the new many Rangers roles, but much of the time is spent with gleeful J.P. doing cartwheels about a particular punching Rangers second baseman that is thankfully no longer in Arlington. And despite audio proof saying otherwise Josh chides J.P. for a past bold claim. 39:45 - Globe Life Field is allowing 100% capacity but why? Totally speaking out of both sides of his mouth J.P. still can't wait to go to his first indoor Rangers games. And when will the guys actually go watch their teams duke it out for the Silver Boot?  46:30 - They go over win totals and projections for their two teams and J.P. actually predicts a better record for the Astros. Josh makes his bold Astros playoff prediction before they have a quick look at their huge fantasy baseball season coming up. But Teller’s research leads to a terrifying discovery: by the year 2030, the sun will eject its outermost layer, destroying the entire inner solar system — including Earth. After the war ends, Oppenheimer’s physicists combine forces with Albert Einstein, computing pioneer John von Neumann, and rocket designer Wernher von Braun — the greatest scientific geniuses from the last century racing against time to save our future. Hey Everyone, Angela Bowen here, the host of Dancing On Bandstand: An American Dreams Podcast. I know it’s been a long time coming, since last July, when I first recorded the pilot episode but here it is, in all it's shining glory: S1E2: The End Of Innocence which aired on October 6, 2002. In this episode The Pryors try to deal with the Kennedy assassination. Meg deals with making the cut for American Bandstand (1952) and Roxanne being jealous about it. It's Thanksgiving week in 1963, and in the wake of the JFK assassination, no one feels thankful. Even Meg's selection as a Bandstand regular seems hollow to her, and it becomes even worse when that triggers a fight between her and best friend Roxanne, when Roxanne finds out she can't be on the show. Meanwhile, East Catholic's football team has a hole they simply can't fill at running back without J.J. Jack is surprised when he presses the family to rise early to complete the work on what would have been the baby's new room,to find the family already up and working. Meg listens to everyone's opinion on her trouble with Roxanne and finally decides to leave American Bandstand during the live show, telling Michael she wouldn't even be there if it where not for Roxanne. Jack gets angry with the Head Coach of the football when he thinks he knows J.J. better than his father. Michael call Roxanne to tell her what Meg did,and the two finally reunite. While Helen gets together with the worldly Rebecca Sandstrom at Temple University and decides to take some courses. Join me in APRIL for S1E3: New Frontier which aired on October 13 , 2002. In this episode Sam deals with the negative reaction by East Catholic's track team. Helen has to make time for school and home. Meg handles Teresa McManus' jealousy and rumors about she and Jimmy Riley being more than dance partners on _"Bandstand" (1952). To Meg's utter amazement she is asked to dance by Bandstand regular Jimmy Riley, before he is whisked away by another regular Teresa. J.J. quietly rejoins the football team.
