It's hard for girls and young women to see that paradox and that's why Brook wrote her book, to help them avoid similar bad decisions.Our society is rotting because we're being programmed to relate through technology and we're abused through anonymity and gaslit by being told what we see with our own eyes is not what we're seeing, conditioning people to not think for themselves. “If a technology is free to you, then you are the product, not the consumer. Have you ever heard me liken my mixes to musical arcs? Typically I mold my sets as though they form an imaginary musical arc, with a distinct beginning, peak and landing. With this mix, unintentionally, my arc is more like a straight line across (that's drenched in warm, deep, melodic and heart-soaring vibes). The feel at the end of this set is very much the same as the beginning. I always like to say that I'm not the only one involved in creating my mixes. The unseen Spirit that guides me has a hand in all this too and, well, the straight line across is what the Spirit had in mind today. This one is deep, heartfelt and sturdy! ;-)As for the music. *Every* *Single* *Song* is an anthem in its own right. Of course these aren't peak of night hands in the air anthems. These are heart-tugging anthems that wrap their arms around you and drench you in warmth and melancholy blissful vibes. I always go out of my way my way to source remarkable remakes of songs from years' ago...and wow, did I find a couple of good ones for you for this set. I start the set off with Blonde Maze's remake of the 1982 international smash hit "I Melt With You" by Modern English. Later in the set I bring in York's remake of Human League's "Human" from 1986. Surrounding these two masterpieces are the most gorgeous and emotionally rich deep house records you could possibly imagine. I rarely want to mention my personal favorites on a set so as to not influence what you think of the mix overall. Well...let me just say that you should pay *really close attention* to #5 (Kairos Grove "I Don't Mind), #6 (Tailor "Never Enough"), #7 (Le Youth "I Will Leave A Light On"), #8 (Vanessa Arnolds "Colors Turn To Grey"), #9 (Martin Garrix "Real Love"), #10 (Anamē "Peaceful Avenue"), #12 (Julia Church "No Ending") and #14 (Chicane "One Thousand Suns"). Hint hint. Wink Wink. But seriously...please pay really close attention to *all* the songs on this set. The 2023 Kentucky Derby is upon us, and one super savvy Friend of the Podcast wrote us to ask Holly about what to wear to the Kentucky Derby. So, whether you are headed to the real Churchill Downs in Louisville, or just dressing up for your own party, Holly has “The Best Kentucky Derby Outfit Ideas” all lined up on this week's episode.    What makes up a Kentucky Derby Outfit anyway?   A long time ago, in a place far, far away, the derby started back in 1875 with the intention of a grand event to be luxurious and a place to be seen. It was envisioned for the “upper class,” modeled after British horse racing, where extravagant dress was expected.    In that era, women of society wore large, elegant hats with matching gloves, shoes, dresses with corsets and or a very tight bustier.  “A large, flamboyant hat was said to bring good luck.” Men, of course, wore suits with ties, hats, and some wore gloves as well canes, etc. So even though fashion has changed throughout the decades, Derby clothing is still very spring-y, with colorful, embellished, and over-the-top fashion. An excuse to dress in your biggest, poofiest, dress and hat to match. #fabulousoverload   But the hat! The hat has been the number one staple of the Derby since it started. When it comes to a hat for the Derby, bigger is better.    So, here is the short list of Holly's Kentucky Derby Outfit Must Haves:   A fabulous dress. Shoes, preferably platforms or wedges to be comfortable. Oversized sunglasses. A cute bag. Jewelry.  A Mint Julip. If it's hot, bring a portable fan. Water, to drink.  HAT or FASCINATOR! (non-negosh) Start with your blank canvas, or the base of your outfit. (Holly is going to trademark that statement).    In this case it might be the hat or the dress. The dress can be long or short (but it will be hot and mobbed with people if you actually go to the race, so dress accordingly.)    Pick a color theme or pattern theme. (For extra fun as a couple, pick matching outfits or theme!)   PRO TIP: See Holly's Pinterest Board for this episode for her favorite dress styles.   Here are some of Holly favorite dress brands:   Lela Rose La Double J Milly  Monique Lhuillier Mary Katrantzou Emilia Wickstead   SHOES: Platform and wedges give the illusion of a higher heel, but with a flat bottom for support all day and comfort. On today's episode of the MEMIC Safety Experts Podcast we have part two of my conversation with the Director of the Northeast Center for Occupational Health and Safety, Dr. Julie Sorenson about how a simple nudge can help change the architecture of choice.in workplace safety.

Hour 1: The Jets interviewed Nathaniel Hackett for the Offensive Coordinator position and Gio thinks he's dumb. Boomer said that's not true and some guys are not cut out to be Head Coaches, but are really good Offensive Coordinators. He has a solid track record there. Gio also thinks the Jets think that if they get Hackett, they will get Aaron Rodgers too. Gio thinks Frank Reich should come here as Offensive Coordinator since Rob Saleh will be gone soon and he can become Head Coach. We also went through some potential Offensive Coordinators for the Jets. C-Lo is in for Jerry today and starts with Giants' players thoughts on playing in Philadelphia. Gio wonders why Giants' fans would go to Philly and risk getting harassed at the stadium on the way out, no matter how the game goes. Wink Martindale talks about loving being the Defensive Coordinator for the Giants and isn't here for a stepping stone to another job. He also said Boston Scott is not a Giants killer. Joe Burrow showed up to his press conference with the wrong jersey on. Gio wonders if Burrow is the coolest player in the NFL. In the final segment of the hour, we talked about Wink Martindale and his potential to become a Head Coach in the NFL.
