Join The Patreon/Discord for Live Streams and Stay in Touch With The Average Money Community: https://www.patreon.com/pushthroughThis week we talk about coaching on the podcast. Questions we get all the time often come back to "should I hire a coach". There are many reasons to hire a coach and a plenty of good reasons why someone wouldn't really need a coach.  And you dont need to have a race on the calendar to need a coach. Some want a coach just for the accountability or someone to bounce ideas off of. The distance of a race doesnt really matter much either. Brad has coached athletes for a local 5k all the way up to a marathon. We will then break down exactly how JJ's marathon training block is being structured and what the general strategy would be going into it. By the end you will know how you can build your own block, the type of commitment that goes into training for a marathon, or any other race. As always follow up with any questions inside the discord linked above or on one of our instagram pages @bradtrains and @jjbuckner. Although there was a possibility for a huge PR, things needed to go right. It turns out that everything that was OUT of his control went perfectly to plan. BUT! The things he had control over didn't.  There are so many variables when running a marathon! To have a perfect day, you have to be 100% focused.  This was Brad's 15th marathon of his life and he still made a ton or rookie mistakes. Take a listen to what he learned and what he will remember moving forward.  Thanks for the love and support as always!

This week Brad sat down with his wife Tara to discuss her journey through fitness and working up to her first 50k trail race. Tara comes from an athletic upbringing. She started as a competition gymnast through middle school. She went to college and played lacrosse, winning 3 National Championships. She will talk about the transition from being a college athlete into a post grad who still had a competitive edge. Tara went on to try everything from CrossFit to Triathlons to Marathons. But nothin has really struck a chord like trail running and ultramarathons. The emotional experience she felt is something all to familiar to endurance athletes and the "why" for many others. The next few weeks will show all the things we pushed through this weekend starting with JJ's first cold plunge!  Cold plunges, or cold water immersion, offer several benefits. First, they promote muscle recovery and reduce inflammation, aiding athletes and individuals with muscle soreness. Cold plunges can improve circulation and stimulate the immune system, boosting overall health. They also enhance mood and mental well-being by increasing endorphin levels and providing a natural stress relief. Regular cold plunges may improve sleep quality and help regulate body temperature. Additionally, they can enhance cardiovascular function, increase metabolism, and improve skin health. However, it's essential to consult a healthcare professional before incorporating cold plunges into your routine, especially if you have pre-existing health conditions. Next we hit the track to complete "The Hardest Mile". You will have to listen for a full breakdown of this insane workout.  It wouldn't be a podcast if we didn't talk a little bit of money as well. We will hit our wheel stocks and talk about Googles continuous 52 week highs every day this week!

The wheel strategy is a great options strategy to use in a sideways or down treading markets. By selling cash secured put you can buy shares at a price you like and get paid to do so along the way. After you buy those shares you can use them as collateral to sell covered calls. Flip flopping between selling calls and puts is call the wheel strategy and is a great way to add income to your portfolio. We will also talk about Brad getting to meet on of his hero's, his sons first trip to the ER and all the other things going on in our life at the moment.

REBRANDING DISCORD FLASH SALE https://www.patreon.com/pushthrough If you are a long time listener of the podcast you will notice a new look to the podcast. We will discuss this at length in this weeks episode and the reasons why. We are forever grateful to the Average Money Brand and the community it has built, but we feel like we have more of ourselves to give. We were limiting the impact that our life experiences could have but pigeon holing ourselves to 1 topic. With this rebranding, we will be able to give the listener all of everything we have to offer, which includes personal finance. Feedback has shown us that the listeners appreciate and take value in our discussions about real estate, parenting, fitness, health, mindfulness, and sobriety. Although all these topics will not appear in every episode, we will now be able to have more open and honest conversations without ourselves and the listeners, and therefore bring more value.  In this episode we will talk about JJ's move from Missouri to Florida and what it's like to sell a house without an agent. We will also discuss JJ's month of sobriety and how that has changed his life and if he will continue to be sober moving forward past April. We will finish the episode talking about Brad's running injury and how that has impacted his life moving into summer vacation and his race schedule. This will lead into our rebranding and some in depth reasons why.  Thank you for your continued support and understanding.  See you in the discord. Brad and JJ
