There were twelve teams of oxen in the field, and Elisha was plowing with the twelfth team. Elijah went over to him and threw his cloak across his shoulders and then walked away. 20 Elisha left the oxen standing there, ran after Elijah, and said to him, “First let me go and kiss my father and mother good-bye, and then I will go with you!” Elijah replied, “Go on back, but think about what I have done to you.”So Elisha returned to his oxen and slaughtered them. From the powerful declaration in John 8:12, "I am the light of the world," to the message of God's unwavering presence in our hearts, Ben reminds us that following Christ means stepping out of darkness and into the life-giving light of His glory. He delves into the significance of light shining in the darkness, as seen in scriptures like John 1:5 and Revelation 21:23, showing how God's light illuminates not only the world but our very souls. In this inspiring sermon, "Stay Humble My Friends," we are reminded of the power of humility through the example of Jesus Christ. The sermon delves into Philippians 2:1-9, emphasizing how we should follow Christ's model by prioritizing others over ourselves, embracing kindness, forgiveness, and unity. When we humble ourselves and put others first, we make room for God's greatness in our lives. This message encourages us to live with selflessness, reflecting the humility of Christ as the ultimate path to honor and glory.   Sermon Notes:  “You belong to Christ and he helps you to be strong. His love comforts you. You are able to help one another because his Spirit is in you. You can be kind to each other, and you can forgive each other. Because of that, this is how you can make me completely happy: In your mind, think about things in the same way as each other. Love one another completely. In your spirit, agree with one another. Work together for the same purpose. In the way that you live, do not just try to help yourself. Do not be proud. Instead, respect other people. Think about other people as more important than yourself. Do not think only about the things that you want to do for yourself. Each of you should think also about how you can help other people. Think about things in the same way that Christ Jesus thought: He had the same nature as God. He was completely equal with God. But he did not try to keep hold of that. Instead, he chose to leave heaven. He took for himself the nature of a slave. He was born as a human. And when he lived as a man, he made himself even more humble. He obeyed God completely, so that he died. He even died on a cross! Because of that, God raised Jesus Christ to the most important place. God gave him the name that is greater than every other name.” Philippians 2:1-9 EASY **When you become small, God becomes big. **

The soldiers in the king's house and all the people here know that. Also, because I am in a prison, most of the other believers here trust the Lord even more. The Lord has made them brave, so that they are not afraid to speak God's message to people. It is true that some of these Christians are jealous of me. They want to show that they are better than me. That is why they tell people the message about Christ. But other Christians speak about Christ because they want to help me. They tell people about him because they love me. They know that God has put me here in this prison. And he wants me to show people that the good news is true. Those other people speak about Christ because they want to seem important. They do not really want to help people. They just want to cause trouble for me while I am here in this prison. But it does not matter to me! All of them are telling people about Christ. That is the most important thing. Whether they speak because of wrong reasons or because of right reasons, they are speaking the message about Christ! Because of that, I am happy. Sermon Notes:  Not enough is where you discover that God is enough. “Though the Lord gave you adversity for food and suffering for drink, he will still be with you to teach you. You will see your teacher with your own eyes. Your own ears will hear him. Right behind you a voice will say, “This is the way you should go,” whether to the right or to the left. Then you will destroy all your silver idols and your precious gold images. You will throw them out like filthy rags, saying to them, “Good riddance!” Isaiah‬ ‭30‬:‭20‬-‭22‬ ‭NLT‬‬ “Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.” ‭‭James‬ ‭1‬:‭2‬-‭4‬ ‭NLT‬‬ “We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. And this hope will not lead to disappointment.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭5‬:‭3‬-‭5‬ ‭NLT‬‬ “These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world. You love him even though you have never seen him. Though you do not see him now, you trust him; and you rejoice with a glorious, inexpressible joy. The reward for trusting him will be the salvation of your souls.” 1 Peter‬ ‭1‬:‭7‬-‭9‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Learn the importance of surrounding yourself with uplifting relationships that invigorate your spirit, while making space for moments of solitude to reflect and recharge.   Sermon Notes:  When an evil spirit leaves a person, it goes into the desert, seeking rest but finding none. Then it says, ‘I will return to the person I came from.' So it returns and finds its former home empty, swept, and in order. Then the spirit finds seven other spirits more evil than itself, and they all enter the person and live there. And so that person is worse off than before. ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭12‬:‭43‬-‭45‬ ‭NLT‬‬ Let go of the unhealthy habits that hurt your process and replace them with healthy habits that add to your process. The best is yet to come!   Sermon Notes: “Some time later, Absalom got a chariot and horses for his own use, along with fifty men to run ahead of him. Absalom would get up early and stand by the side of the road that went through the city gate. Whenever anyone had a lawsuit to bring before the king for judgment, Absalom would call to him, “What city are you from?” When the person said, “Your servant is from one of the tribes of Israel,” then Absalom would say to him, “No doubt your claims are correct and valid, but the king won't listen to you. If only I were made a judge in the land,” Absalom would continue, “then anyone with a lawsuit could come to me, and I would give them justice.” Whenever anyone came near to Absalom, bowing low out of respect, he would reach his hand out, grab them, and kiss them. This is how Absalom treated every Israelite who came to the king seeking justice. This is how Absalom stole the hearts of the Israelites.” ‭‭2 Samuel‬ ‭15‬:‭1‬-‭6‬ ‭CEB‬‬

(Jesus truly satisfies and gives us fullness of joy) “As I began to speak,” Peter continued, “the Holy Spirit fell on them, just as he fell on us at the beginning. Then I thought of the Lord's words when he said, ‘John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.' And since God gave these Gentiles the same gift he gave us when we believed in the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I to stand in God's way?” Acts ‭11‬:‭15‬-‭17‬ ‭NLT‬‬ The Word Works If You Work It. (We Work It) “God's word is alive and working and is sharper than a double-edged sword. It cuts all the way into us, where the soul and the spirit are joined, to the center of our joints and bones. And it judges the thoughts and feelings in our hearts.” ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭4‬:‭12‬ ‭NCV‬‬ “All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.” ‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭3‬:‭16‬-‭17‬ ‭NLT‬‬ The Best is Yet To Come. (God isn't done yet) “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭43‬:‭18‬-‭19‬ ‭NIV‬‬ “Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.” ‭‭John‬ ‭14‬:‭12‬ ‭NIV‬‬ Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen.” ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭3‬:‭20-‭21‬ ‭NLT

Come ride with us and experience the joy of being all-in for the Kingdom!   Sermon Notes:  Church isn't something we do, it's who we are. (We are the hands and feet of Jesus) “Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. Their responsibility is to equip God's people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ. This will continue until we all come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God's Son that we will be mature in the Lord, measuring up to the full and complete standard of Christ. Then we will no longer be immature like children. We won't be tossed and blown about by every wind of new teaching. We will not be influenced when people try to trick us with lies so clever they sound like the truth. Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church. He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love.” ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭4‬:‭11‬-‭16‬ ‭NLT‬‬ We're All In! (God gave His all, so we give our all) “The Kingdom of Heaven is like a treasure that a man discovered hidden in a field. In his excitement, he hid it again and sold everything he owned to get enough money to buy the field. “Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a merchant on the lookout for choice pearls. When he discovered a pearl of great value, he sold everything he owned and bought it!“ ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭13‬:‭44‬-‭46‬ ‭NLT‬‬ Come. Connect. Invest. Invite.

In today's sermon, we delve into the simplicity and permanence of the Gospel, uncovering the essence of what truly endures. At the heart of our message is the undeniable truth that Jesus is enough—His sacrifice and victory are central to our faith. Whether you're seeking encouragement or a deeper understanding of the Gospel, there's room for you here. Tune in and be inspired to anchor your life in what remains unchanging.   Sermon Notes:  We exist to build people who love God, love others, and experience the presence and power of God in every part of their lives.  We Keep It Simple. (The Gospel Is Simple)  “Now, most people would not be willing to die for an upright person, though someone might perhaps be willing to die for a person who is especially good. But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners” ‭Romans‬ ‭5‬:‭7‬-‭8‬ ‭NLT‬‬ “See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are!” ‭‭1 John‬ ‭3‬:‭1‬ ‭NLT‬‬  “You know the generous grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. Though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, so that by his poverty he could make you rich.” ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭8‬:‭9‬ ‭NLT‬‬ “I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.” ‭‭John‬ ‭16‬:‭33‬ ‭NLT‬‬ Jesus Is Enough. (He's The Heart of Everything We Do) “When I saw him, I fell at his feet as if I were dead. But he laid his right hand on me and said, “Don't be afraid! I am the First and the Last. I am the living one. I died, but look—I am alive forever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and the grave.” Revelation‬ ‭1‬:‭17‬-‭18‬ ‭NLT‬‬  “But Christ has shown me that what I once thought was valuable is worthless. Nothing is as wonderful as knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. I have given up everything else and count it all as garbage. All I want is Christ” ‭‭Philippians‬ ‭3‬:‭7‬-‭8‬ ‭CEV‬‬ “Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭24‬:‭35‬ ‭NIV‬‬ There's Room For You Here. (God is moving. We are moving. Come get you some!) ”For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love.“ ‭‭Galatians‬ ‭5‬:‭6‬ ‭NIV‬‬ “…And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life.” Revelation‬ ‭22‬:‭17‬ ‭NIV‬‬
