Welcome! This week on Cinematic AF, we explore the 2018 film, CLIMAX. This trippy film comes to us from French director, Gaspar Noé. The film takes place during the winter of 1996, within a single building. CLIMAX features a large ensemble cast of twenty-four (led by Sofia Boutella) portraying a French dance troupe throwing an after-party after a rehearsal. The celebration takes a darker turn when everyone becomes increasingly agitated and confused after consuming Sangria laced with LSD. Steere first thought of the idea in 2010. After losing his parents, pastor Doug Jones travels to China and becomes infected by an artifact, resulting in him turning into a velociraptor when he becomes angry. At first horrified by this new power, under the direction of a prostitute he decides to fight crime and kill criminals, including drug-dealing ninjas, by using his transformation. During his mission, the pastor travels the world.

Through the power of editing and Kelsey keeping Ash and I focused, we bring you this blood-soaked tail of love, punk and zombies. So sit back, grab your baseball bat and enjoy!The Return of the Living Dead is a 1985 American comedy horror film written and directed by Dan O'Bannon, and starring Clu Gulager, James Karen, Thom Matthews and Don Calfa. The film tells the story of how a warehouse owner, accompanied by his two employees, mortician friend, and a group of teenage punks, deal with the accidental release of a horde of brain-hungry zombies onto an unsuspecting town. The film, described as a "mordant punk comedy", is known for introducing the popular concept of zombies eating brains, as opposed to eating human flesh, like previous zombie iterations. It is also known as the first film to ever show zombies running, as well as zombies being able to speak. The film is also quite unique from virtually all other cinematic depictions of the living dead, in that the zombies portrayed in the film cannot be killed by a standard "head shot".

It stars Toni Collette, Alex Wolff, Milly Shapiro and Gabriel Byrne as a family haunted by a mysterious presence after the death of their secretive grandmother. Hereditary premiered on January 21, 2018, in the Midnight section at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival, and was theatrically released in the United States on June 8, 2018. It was acclaimed by critics, with Collette's performance receiving particular praise, and was a commercial success, making over $80 million on a $10 million budget to become A24's highest-grossing film worldwide.

The Hole) is a Spanish science fiction horror-thriller film, directed by Galder Gaztelu-Urrutia and released in 2019. The film is set in a large, tower-style "Vertical Self-Management Center" where the inmates, who are periodically switched at random between floors, are fed by a platform, initially filled with food, that gradually descends through the levels. It is a system bound to cause conflict, as inmates at the top levels can eat as much as they can, leaving increasingly little for those below.

It stars Icelandic musician, Björk, as a daydreaming immigrant factory worker who suffers from a degenerative eye condition and is saving up to pay for an operation to prevent her young son from suffering the same fate (Wikipedia).
