Making you questioning decisions, your faith, fears and doubts.... what are we suppose to do? Just listen to the lies of the enemy? Just take his accusations and lies? NO! We have to fight back! The battle is already won but we must know HOW to engage in that war!

If you're anything like me, you've always been intimated to try to read thru the Bible. I've always thought of it as overwhelming or too hard to understand, so why even start? But my goodness, how wrong I was! It's alive & better than any spicy novel! But more important than the characters, is the MAIN character! God! The Bible shows us who GOD really is.... compassionate, patient, merciful, mighty, gracious.... so many things! There's nothing MORE important than getting to know our creator! For He IS worth it!!!!!!
This is something that I don't study or think about enough. But for the past 2 weeks, it's been so heavy on my heart to do a deep dive into Ephesians 6: 10-17 passage. Spiritual warfare is so real but God's been so good to us to give us the weapons we need for this lifetime. And we don't fight FOR victory, we fight FROM victory! From Jesus Christ's victory on the cross! He's already won the war... but while we're here, the battle still goes on. Even though we know the ending, that doesn't stop the enemy from trying to make us doubt God's faithfulness, lose our joy and live in fear. BUT praise God for His gifts to us, His children!!!
I'm guilty as well of thinking I have to wait until Jan 1st to make changes! I get excited about "new" things. New opportunities, new cars, new houses, new years.... all the "news". But In Christ, that's every day! And we take it for granted. At least I know I do! But I want to focus on every day being a NEW day with Him. Christmas can be stressful. That's I changed the way I did gifts a few years ago. I needed to get back my joy of the season. Now this isn't for everyone but it works for me and my family,
I've started at the beginning of the Bible and I'm loving it so far. I've never read the Old Testament. God's character is shown so much right off the bat!!! And so are humans! Haha!! So many times, we make decisions based from Fear. Irrational, emotional decisions that end up NOT being the wisest! That's the stories we're going to talk about in today's episode. My prayer is it brings enlightenment to you and how you make decisions. I know it sure has me!!
I struggle in this area. Bad. So when God told me to talk about it, I sure didn't want to. I was embarrassed, I think. Convicted, I'm sure. But that probably means I NEED to talk about it. Because anything God brings up, He wants to bring out to deal & heal it.
I always get asked... How do you hear from God?? It's not that hard actually. I believe He WANTS us to hear from Him. He is a personal, living God that loves us very deeply. Don't you want to talk to YOUR children? I believe it's the same way with Him. His Word, thru people, thru that still small voice... there are lots of ways. But there are also things that hinder us from hearing from Him, I believe. Bitterness, unforgiveness, distractions... those things can cause walls that block us from hearing from Him. What were Jesus's examples? What did Jesus do to hear from His Father? Let's discuss all of this in today's episode!!
I've heard it said, Perspective is Key. But really I think perspective is freedom!!! The way we see things MATTER! It matters to our spiritual walk & human walk. Mountains, storms, windshields.... they all change with a different perspective. They can go from scary to peaceful... from big to little... from fuzzy to clear. I hope you enjoy today's episode
Offense, resentment, bitterness, and unforgiveness are ALL wall blockers from us and God. Holding on to anger and hurt only hurts us. Releasing and healing IS from Jesus. It's a free gift. Serving our enemies was demonstrated by Jesus when He washed Judas's feet but HOW are we to serve our enemies when we've been hurt so bad by them?
I had planned a different podcast today. I've been studying Judas for 2 weeks because of a post going around on Social Media. Something like... Being a Christian is not loving Jesus, it's loving Judas. At first, I was like AMEN! But then I got to really thinking. I have a "Judas" in my life right now. And I'm going to tell you.... It's HARD to show love to that person. It's hard to act like everything is fine around them. It's hard not to let resentment set in my heart. And I've been praying ALOT for this heart NOT to allow bitterness and resentment to settle in! So in this episode, I talk a little about it but not the whole study yet. We always searching. Always looking. Always wanting.... that high. But really what we are looking for is Fulfillment. But there's a hole that was created by the Creator Himself that can only be filled by Him. We try in all different kinds of ways. Like jobs, children, spouses, success, looks, body image, alcohol... the list goes on and on. Let's talk about it and what we can do to stay focused on the One true thing that can truly fulfill us!
Whoa this one was hard. Will I be judged for my admission of being addicted to vaping? Will I fail & fall back into the addition after telling everyone I'm quitting? Will this episode come across as legalistic & goody goody? Well, we're just going to leave it in God's hands. Alcohol, nicotine, drugs..... why are these the main things we think of when someone says they're addicted to something?? What about our phones, social media, approval from others, perfectionism from ourselves, food, caffeine, sugar.... ANYTHING we think we can't live without means we're addicted to it!
That's a strange title right? Well my thought was that a lot of people may not think they "need" to listen to a podcast about Shame and embarrassment so I figured maybe the title would spark some interest. :):) Shame tries to be an identity. And as a Christian, that IS NOT OURS to claim! Shame keeps us in the dark. In a hole. Jesus paid a big price so that DOESN'T have to be what we walk around with.

Prayer: That can be a confusing word to some people. I know for me it use to be. Something so simple as talking to God can be complicated for some people. We can be scared to pray or insecure about when to pray. But prayer is powerful. It grows our faith and strengthens are relationship with Our Heavenly Father. It brings peace and wisdom into situations. It brings hope and joy into our lives. So why don't we do it continuously? The Bible says to pray without ceasing. Let's talk about it.
This is a hard one! Forgiveness seems almost impossible sometimes. It feels like there's no way we can let go of what was done to us! Let's talk about it!!!! WHY we should forgive and HOW to forgive!
I haven't always been outspoken about my faith. I had actually walked away and never thought I'd be able to be a mouthpiece for Him again! But GOD!
Why is it said... It's more blessed to give than to receive? Because it truly is! The peace and joy that comes from giving is SUCH a blessing!!!

No one likes to wait! I know I sure don't. Doctor's waiting rooms, a drive-thru, my RX to be filled, my kid to unload the dishwasher after asking 2 times... the list goes on and on! But WAITING on God is entirely something different. It's something we shouldn't try to "make" happen but it can be HARD to wait on something He's promised or shown us He's going to do. We are impatient by nature. Thankfully God knows that. But BOY the testimony that comes when God shows up and shows out! He's so faithful and even in the waiting, He's doing work in our life! I'm going to warn you, I got a little fired up in this episode. I really can't stand when I feel offended... Which is funny because I USE to stay offended! Offended at people, offended at stores, offended at traffic. I just stayed offended. I mean, no big deal right? Everyone gets a little offended from time to time, right? Especially NOW. It seems the whole world STAYS offended. But it IS a big deal. It's a seed that can lead to deep roots of resentment & bitterness. And now I fight it relentlessly! Offense is like a gift & you can REFUSE it. Crazy right? Sometimes I'll ask a question on Facebook like.... Do you ever feel jealous of others success or lifestyle or career or ministry? Do you ever compare yourself with others? Do you ever feel insecure in certain areas? I always feel a little jealous when someone will comment... No, I never feel any of these ways. Now I'm not sure they're being completely honest but maybe they are. Maybe they NEVER deal with some of the emotions that I deal with. Whatever the truth is... Here's my truth... I do!! Praise God, He's brought me a long way but still I catch myself sometimes having thoughts like... Why not me, God? Why them? When will it be my turn? I think being jealous of someone is a human, fleshly trait. That's not trying to excuse it but it say WE ALL DEAL WITH IT at some point in our lives. Some more then others I'm sure, but even if it's one time... we STILL need to confront it. To bring it before God and exam our heart. We don't like to do that though. And a lot of times, we deny we even have a problem with jealousy, I know I have in the past.... I'm NOT jealous of them, don't be silly! But denying it doesn't make it go away. And if not addresses and dealt with, it can turn into anger, resentment, bitterness and hate. Jealousy and envy truly are a green-eyed monster! My prayer is that this episode helps you see if this is an area in your life that you need to let God into. My prayer is that you'll have a fresh revelation of how destructive jealousy can really be. My prayer is that you see how much God loves you and doesn't want this seed of envy to take root in your heart. He loves you and me so much. He knows that being jealous of anyone takes our eyes off Him and onto something that can completely hinder our growth and relationship with Him and the people in our life. Ok I know God forgives. That was the purpose of Jesus coming to Earth to pay our debt. The debt we couldn't pay. When I accept that payment as my own, then we can experience The Father's forgiveness. I get all that.... for other people. When it comes to believing it for myself, it use to get blurry. Because I knew better.... I knew Jesus but yet I still...... I accepted Jesus as my Savior but I messed up by....... WHY would God forgive that?? Maybe for others, but I KNEW BETTER. So let's look at the Word & see others that maybe felt this way. We are in a battle. Every single day. But it's important HOW we fight these battles!
I really don't like writing my name on one of those sticker name tags they want you to wear at an event or reunion. I always feel like I write super messy on them. It's suppose to represent me right? Like identify me? Well, yea... it gives my name... but NOT my identity. My identity is not my given name or title or what I do for a living or what I have done in my past. My identity is found in Christ! And so is yours if you have accepted Him as your personal Savior. We HAVE to get our identity from Christ! Because if we don't, the world and enemy will tell us who IT thinks we are. And when we accept and believe those false identities, it effects every area of our lives! I love kids.... well nice ones. :) But seriously, the innocence of a child is so enduring. The trust they have and the excitement they can find over almost anything is inspiring. The way they forgive quickly and don't hold grudges is encouraging. So it's no wonder, Jesus told his disciples to enter the Kingdom of Heaven, they need to come like a little child. I'm constantly trying to rethink things like a child would. Or see myself the way God sees me knowing the way I see my children. Because I love them so much, I'm going to protect them. I'm going to forgive them when they mess up. I'm going to unconditionally love them NO MATTER WHAT and that's exactly how God loves us, His children. What's first place in your life? What's your mind think most about? What do you focus on growing in your life? What is the thing you hold on tightest too? Could that thing be an idol possibly? Oh how easy it is to get distracted. At least I know for me it is! I say God is first in my life... I WANT Him first in my life, but if I don't check my heart constantly, distractions can sneak in. Kids, family, businesses, careers, people, money, food, alcohol, social media, social media status, my phone, sports teams, worry, fear, insecurities.... the list goes on and on! ALL of these things can become idols. It doesn't mean all of them are bad things... but it's when we love the good things MORE then the one of gives us the good things. When we love the blessings more then the Bless-er. When we want the created more then the Creator! My prayer is that this episode doesn't bring guilt or shame or condemnation but FREEDOM by bring to light the things we put first before our Heavenly Father! ~Christina Let's connect!! And He completely loves us perfectly. But if we get the lines crossed and see our Heavenly Father the way some earthly fathers are, it messes us up! He's not human so He doesn't love us as humans sometimes do. His love is unconditional and unmatchable. He loves us at our darkest as well as at our heights in life. In today's episode, let's talk about Forgiveness! Or more specifically, God's forgiveness. Oh how undeserving we are but oh how good He is!!! Here's an confession... I sometimes struggle with ACCEPTING that forgiveness. It just doesn't make sense to my human mind I guess. Does anyone else feel that way? But thankfully He sees our hearts and understands our humanness. My prayer is that this episode helps us all to grasp just how GOOD He is! He's a GOOD, GOOD Father and I'm so grateful everyday that He doesn't give me what I deserve but Graces me with His forgiveness! The same goes for you! Do you find yourself WANTING to know God more but having a hard time finding the TIME or way to do it?? Me too!!!! My heart's desire is to KNOW Him, but sometimes my flesh's desire is to sleep or scroll social media or binge watch Netflix. Life is busy so we must be intentional about seeking Him! Worrying is tiring! Worrying is stressful! But most of all, worrying is unproductive! It does nothing but make us sick and doesn't solve anything! So why do we do it? I know for me, I feel like I MUST worry or else something might happen! Like me worrying is going to some how "save" the thing I'm worrying about. I mean, like I can control life anyways.
