DFSR, the premiere site for daily fantasy NBA projections brings you their podcast with news, notes and plays for the day on FanDuel and DraftKings
The DFSR crew of Doug Norrie and Chris Durell are back on the podcast this week discussing the WGC FedEx St Jude Invitational starting this Thursday. It’s a loaded field with no cut so there’s a slightly different approach with projections and bets this week. They discuss the course and some of the history as well as what no-cut events look like for some of these golfers. They have plenty of discussion around Justin Thomas, Bryson DeChambeau, Tyrell Hatton and Xander Schauffele in the top tier. There’s also talk around Gary Woodland and Abraham Ancer, as well as Corey Connor, Keegan Bradley and Brendan Todd. Come check out a packed podcast for this week’s PGA action. PGA is back again for another week of golf action and it’s a loaded field at the Memorial Tournament. DFSR’s Doug Norrie and Chris Durell take to the podcast discussing the DFS lineup implications and betting strategies for a tournament that could play a lot like a major. They break down the upper tier of golfers which is a who’s who including Bryson deChambeau, Patrick Cantlay, Webb Simpson, Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy. But there’s plenty of discussion around the group below, especially on DraftKings where the pricing seems too be a bit soft. They get into Xander Schauffle, Daniel Berger and Abraham Ancer among other. And finally, both talk about some of the value plays who could round out cash lineups. Chris Durell and Doug Norrie are back on the podcast with another week of PGA action, this time around for the Travelers Championship. It’s another loaded field with golfers seeming to make up for lost time after months of hiatus. But you get another run of the superstars heading into the weekend. The guys take a look at the Pete Dye course and how to best extract value from a field what’s essentially a who’s who. They start with changes Bryson DeChambeau has made in terms of body type and even style of play. They also talk about Patrick Cantlay returning to the field and coming in at a value on DraftKings in particular. There’s also much discussion around the upper middle tier with guys like Tony Finau, Ian Poulter, Matthew Fitzpatrick, Brian Harman, Harry Higgs and Matthew NeSmith. They also discuss some bets to put in for winners, top 10s and top 20s heading into the weekend. It’s a packed podcast with everything you need to get started on the Travelers Championship. DFSR’s Chris Durell and Doug Norrie are back on the podcast discussing this week’s PGA action with the RBC Heritage. It’s another loaded field with golf just a week removed from its return after the hiatus. That means we have another superstar event with the world’s top golfers taking part. The guys go through last week’s results, where things went right or wrong at the Charles Schwab Challenge. Then they discuss the very soft pricing on DraftKings this week with guys like Justin Rose and Webb Simpson to name just a couple. There are others as well. They compare this with FanDuel where you might be able to take slightly different lineup builds. And finally, they talk value plays, Showdown strategy, weather and more. The DFSR podcast is back and this time around talking PGA returning with the Charles Schwab Challenge going down this weekend. Chris Durell and Doug Norrie take to the podcast to do a deep dive on the tournament and the player pool for what will be a very popular tournament on DraftKings and FanDuel. They start off with Chris breaking down what to expect from the course at the Colonial Country Club and what skills will have an advantage this weekend. Then it’s a discussion about the different players and salary tiers on both sites. They talk at length about Rory McIlroy, Justin Thomas and Webb Simpson along with Tony Finau and Matt Kuchar among the more expensive golfers. But they also go through plenty of value plays as well in a very deep field. Doug and James are back with another NBA DFS podcast for DraftKings and FanDuel. It's one of the weirder nights in recent memory, in large part because as of this recording there is almost no obvious value jumping off the page. On nights like these, the most important skill becomes seeing the shades of gray between solid but unexciting plays like Chris Paul, Lonzo Ball, and De'Aaron Fox. It comes down to making a decision between going after high upside, more volatile options like Julius Randle or safer options like John Collins. While there might not be a lot of great value on this slate, there is no shortage of important decisions, so be sure to tune in and get the low down from DFSR's NBA experts. Doug and James are back to break down a rather sizable nine game slate of NBA DFS action on FanDuel and DraftKings. After a wild Monday slate (which featured the Bucks changing their minds a half a dozen times before and after lineup lock), we're hoping to settle into a little more sanity on Tuesday. At this point in the day there isn't a lot of obvious extremely cheap value on the slate. The Bulls' guards, the Suns' guards, and perhaps Aron Baynes, but after that it's looking like we're just going to need to find solid plays in good match-ups. The big question mark of the day surrounds where we should be paying up, with the best options on paper (the Rockets and Lakers) having significant blow out risk. Tonight should be anything but obvious, so be sure to tune in and then hop in DFSR's members only chatroom tonight by heading over to https://www.dailyfantasysportsrankings.com/deals. The DFSR team is back to break down a modest four game slate of NBA DFS on FanDuel and DraftKings! It's a short slate, but not one without a number of questions. The big issue tonight is finding out the Toronto news, with the potential presence or absence of Fred VanVleet and Serge Ibaka looming large over this slate. Doug and James break down how you should approach the slate if you have news about those guys, and how you should approach it if you don't. Thankfully we have some solid Philly value with Embiid, Simmons, and Richardson still sidelined, but things are tough after that. Can we run Harden into the Clippers meat grinder? Is Kawhi too expensive with the rest of his team healthy? And just who on Earth can we possibly play at center on FanDuel? Join the DFSR team as they try to unravel it all. James and Doug are back to talk about an action packed 9 game slate of NBA DFS on FanDuel and DraftKings. It's an odd slate for a couple of reasons. First of all, there is a sea of potential value tonight, with big names missing from the Celtics, Cavs, and Pistons. There are also some younger guys taking on bigger roles, like Ja Morant and Caris Levert, that leave us with a lot of savings. Unfortunately there are only a couple of viable pay-up options, with Bradley Beal and Luka Doncic serving as the headliners there. Be sure to tune in and hear how the DFSR team plans to navigate what is shaping up to be a pretty tricky slate. Interested in the projections that power these podcasts? Doug and James are back to break down a four game slate of NBA DFS action on FanDuel and DraftKings. While there are only four games going, there is plenty of value flying around on this one. With Lillard, Embiid, LeBron, and Simmons already ruled out the question is not whether we have solid punt options, but which of them we will wind up playing. Anthony Davis and CJ McCollum should wind up being chalk options, but how do we fill in around them? Do we go with Horford or Kuzma at the power forward spot? After Rajon Rondo, who gets that last point guard position? It's another tricky slate, so be sure to tune in and find out where the guys are leaning, and as always you can chat with them directly by grabbing a free one week trial to our projection system over at https://www.dailyfantasysportsrankings.com/deals. The DFSR team is back to break down a wild night in the world of NBA DFS on FanDuel and DraftKings. Tonight is shaping up to be a night where you're going to want to be greedy, with a slew of value options that you just don't see on a normal night. Simmons' absence in Philly, Kyrie's continued absence for a Nets team with a great match-up against the Wiz, and Lamarcus Aldridge's absence are only the beginning, and the DFSR lineup optimizer is forecasting near record cash line totals tonight. This isn't a slate where you're going to want to show up at 6PM EST and hope to make a good lineup. Start your preparation now by listening to the DFSR NBA podcast. The DFSR team is back with another NBA DFS podcast for the Tuesday slate of games on FanDuel and DraftKings. There are some marquee match-ups tonight, with Zion facing off against the Lakers, Giannis taking on the Raptors, and a Trail Blazers/Celtics game that's lacking two All-Star point guards. With plenty of value to go around this isn't a slate you're going to want to miss. Join Doug and James as they find all the value you need to win those cash games tonight. The DFSR team is back with a game by game breakdown for Thursday's DFS NBA slate on FanDuel and DraftKings! After a week off from regular season games, you'd think that there'd be a lot of clarity around player availability tonight, but unfortunately that isn't the case. There are two key pieces of information in terms of Derrick Rose's minutes limit and Eric Gordon's general availability that will greatly influence how tonight's slate goes, and the guys discuss how each of those dominoes will impact our DFS lineups. Another main theme of the podcast is how we should approach blowout risk tonight, with half of the games featuring 8+ point spreads and the other games featuring teams with their own question marks. All in all it's a tough slate to break down, so be sure to hear DFSR's expert takes before proceeding. The DFSR team is back to break down a five game slate of NBA DFS on FanDuel and DraftKings. We have some premier match-ups for basketball purposes that don't have a lot of DFS value in the Clippers/Philly game and the Houston/Boston game, though there are certainly a few good one offs from those games. Then we have some teams in great match-ups that we'll be focusing on quite a bit more. The Bulls don't have a ton of great DFS plays from night to night, but you can certainly consider LaVine, Young, Hutchison, or Satoransky. Going the other way is tough, but Beal and Bertans certainly have value. Our goal for the Portland/New Orleans game is going to be to get in as many Blazers as possible, with the real question being which of the starters winds up being the odd man out. The guys also discuss where Zion fits in tonight, as he hasn't exactly paid his current prices but does get a truly great match-up against the under-sized Portland front court. It's a tough slate, but there's certainly value to be had. The DFSR team is back to break down a five game slate of NFL DFS on FanDuel and DraftKings. This slate is reminiscent of Tuesday's, where there are a lot of great big money plays with very few cheap plays to help afford them. The big outstanding news surrounds the Houston Rockets, as the statuses of new arrival Robert Covington and the banged up Russell Westbrook are as yet unknown. The slate only gets weirder from there. Can we play Knicks in a bad match-up with the Magic, given that the game should at least be close? How about some fairly priced Magic going the other way? Can we expect a Super-Dame bounceback? The guys discuss all this, and more! As always, you can get access to the projections that power these podcasts by heading over to https://www.dailyfantasysportsrankings.com/deals. James and Doug are back for another NBA DFS podcast for cash games on FanDuel and DraftKings. It's a night filled with terrific big money options, but unfortunately there aren't a lot of cheap options to support them. Russell Westbrook's likely absence opens up some value, but the real art to tonight's plays comes around deciding where you are going to spend top dollar. Do you go with Harden without Westbrook? How about Giannis in what Vegas sees as a close game? Do you trust Lillard's recent explosion, even in a tough match-up with Denver? Doug and James go through it all, and talk about the high level strategies involved in approaching a complicated slate like this. The DFSR guys take to the NBA podcast to break down the Thursday slate of FanDuel and DraftKings action. For a six-game slate there’s plenty to dive into with some injury situations out there that will provide some value for some teams while making some other ones stayaways. The Raptors will be without Marc Gasol making Serge Ibaka a chalk play across both sites, but the guys also discuss what that means for Kyle Lowry, Fred VanVleet and Pascal Siakam against the Cavaliers. Then there’s the Bradley Beal play against the Hornets and the guys discuss projection strategies around guys like him who’ve had great short term results. All of this and much more on a packed NBA podcast. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
It's a relatively quiet six game slate of NBA DFS tonight, but it still has plenty of question marks surrounding it, and the DFSR team is here to break it all down. How does Oladipo's return affect the Pacers? Is he playable on FanDuel at $4,000? How can we navigate the Rockets/Trail Blazers game, which has both the highest total AND the greatest uncertainty with the Rockets' "big three" all having missed last game? Thankfully there is some higher floor value lurking in the Memphis/New York game, the Detroit/Brooklyn game, and in San Antonio. Still, there is a lot to discuss, so be sure to tune in and hear Doug and James make sense of it all. The DFSR team is back with another DFS NBA cash game podcast for Tuesday's 8 game slate. Tonight's slate is shaping up to be a weird one, with relatively few obvious punt plays and a general lack of truly exciting big money plays as well. It's rare that we will recommend selecting mostly mid-range plays, but that's how it's coming together for us now. With the Raptors in a great spot against the Hawks, there's a strong case to be made for playing any of Lowry, VanVleet, Siakam, and Gasol. Going the other way, Trae had a great game when these teams met a week ago as well. Our system sees Zion as a pretty clear cut cash game play tonight, but the rest of power forward is looking a little bit tough. We're also looking at some prospective Celtics value tonight if Tatum were to wind up sitting. Tune in for some great hoops discussion, and as always head on over to https://www.dailyfantasysportsrankings.com/deals for access to the projection system that powers these podcasts. Doug and James settle in for a tiny three game slate, but it's not one without its fair share of questions. Will Davis be on a minutes restriction on the second half of a back to back? Will CJ McCollum play, and if he does, how will that affect the rest of the Trail Blazers? Is this a night where you can actually trust the Cavs in a league best match-up against the Wizards? What's going on with the Mavs now that Dwight Powell is done for the season? There's a lot to talk about, so make sure to tune in and hear the DFSR team's thoughts. Hey, it's only three games, so they also wind up discussing the other important things in life, like Zion's debut, and James' upcoming Magic: the Gathering tournament. After a day off on Tuesday, the NBA is back with a vengeance with a massive 12 game slate of action on Wednesday. The potential debut of Zion Williamson has people buzzing, but for DFS purposes we're focusing on other things tonight. It's certainly a night to look for overwhelming value, with plays like Kemba Walker, Buddy Hield, Donovan Mitchell, Monte Morris, and Marvin Bagley still looking very under-priced. While we aren't forecasting a lot of true sub-$4,000 plays to enable a stars and scrubs strategy, you should be able to capture enough excellent mid-range value to play either Harden or LeBron. Which of the superstars to play is sort of a debate here, with Doug and James taking opposite sides on the discussion. Tune in to hear a break down of every single game on the slate, and all you need to know before jumping in to contests on FanDuel and DraftKings. It's just a four game slate of NFL DFS action on FanDuel and DraftKings, but there are still a lot of interesting decisions to make. With Joel Embiid out for the Sixers, which of the remaining players should show up in our cash game lineups? Is something up with Al Horford? Is Ben Simmons a must? There's a lot to break down. There's a lot of sneaky DFS value in the Cleveland/Detroit game, which is a rematch of their Tuesday meeting. In that game Love, Drummond, and Rose were excellent. Should we go back to the well? You have the ever-questionable Karl-Anthony Towns, CP3 and Russ going against their old teams, and more! For just four games, there sure is a lot to talk about. We have an oddly large 9 game slate of NBA games tonight, and the DFSR team is here to break down every single game on the slate. Tonight is an odd one, because it blends a sea of great cheap options (mostly from the Minnesota-Golden State game) with very few big money plays to go with them. As a result, Luka Doncic is a heavy favorite to be nearly unanimously owned. After the obvious plays from Minnesota and Golden State, though, things do get a bit more difficult. How much can we trust the minutes from the Clippers/Pistons game, where the Clippers are favored by 12? Andre Drummond has played 36+ minutes in back to back games where the Pistons got blown out, but is that really sustainable? Going the other way, Paul George, Lou Williams, and Kawhi Leonard are great plays if they can get their full rotation of minutes, but how likely is that? All in all, it promises to be a weird one. Make sure to join Doug and James to hear their thoughts. Interested in the projections the power these podcasts? Doug and James are back to break down a solid six game slate of NBA DFS action on FanDuel and DraftKings! There's a lot of looming injury news, so the guys do their best to give you a sense of where you should start looking as you prepare to put in lineups tonight. The biggest news on the slate concerns Anthony Davis' availability. If he were to sit, you'd instantly see LeBron James become a chalk option. But he's not the only big name with questionable status tonight, with Lou Williams, Devin Booker, and Patrick Beverley all wearing the questionable tag as well. JJ Redick has already been ruled out, which will open up wing minutes for the Pelicans. And then there are guys like Mike Conely and DeAndre Ayton returning to the fold for their teams, which could negatively effect the other guys on their team from a fantasy perspective. James and Doug are back with a game by game breakdown for Wednesday massive NBA DFS slate for FanDuel and DraftKings. It's a strange night, since there are a lot of excellent big money options (Harden, Giannis, Brow, LeBron, among others) but not a lot of great cheap plays to enable paying up. You have a tricky point guard decision on your hands too, with Rubio, Lowry, and Dinwiddie being the exact same price in very different situations. With a decent amount of value coming off the table (Kawhi playing, Baynes returning, Bagley returning, Golden State running their stars), tonight has the potential to be a very tricky one, so be sure to hop in our members' only chatroom tonight! It's a special Tuesday NBA podcast from the guys here DFSR! It's easy to get nervous about finding value on a four game slate, but Doug and James are here to deliver some excellent value options. With Ish Smith still running the point in Washington, Miami missing a lot of ball handlers, and a new coaching situation in New York, there are a lot of high floor options on the cheaper end of things tonight. The guys also discuss how to approach these nights strategically. Do you take high floor, but unexciting options from good teams like Denver and Philly, or can you speculate on cheaper guys from teams in flux like New York, Washington, and Charlotte? The DFSR team is back with a game by game breakdown for Wedneday's NBA DFS slate on FanDuel and DraftKings. The guys start by reflecting on some of the weird situations with huge ownership on back-ups this year, and then jump into some interesting back-up options for tonight in Cheick Diallo and De'Anthony Melton. As of now there aren't a lot of obvious punt plays jumping into the forefront, and these back-up options make it a little easier to get the excellent big payoff guys we're looking at tonight. The best payoff in the DFSR system is Luka Doncic, who just summarily destroyed the Pelicans with 18 rebounds through three quarters. He's the highest floor guy in the game right now since Middleton rejoined the Bucks, and looks like a great option here. Outside of these guys, it's a nuanced discussion around grabbing value where we can, so be sure to listen to Doug and James try to find those diamonds in the rough. Doug and James are here to talk about the biggest NBA DFS slate of the season! The slate is far too big to get into a lot of the specific plays, but the general strategy tonight should be very interesting. Is it a nice to prioritize high floor, low ceiling players like Fred VanVleet and DeMar DeRozan? Will there be enough punt plays to support paying up for multiple guys like Davis, Giannis, Harden, and Towns, or will we have to pick between them? If so, where do we land? You also have a number of teams in strange spots with players moving in and out of the starting lineup, like the Suns with Ricky Rubio, Kawhi potentially sitting on the second half of a back to back for the Clippers, 70% of Blake kicking around in Detroit. and more. All in all, it's a very intriguing night in the Association. Doug and James are back for another game by game breakdown of this wild Wednesday NBA DFS slate. With injuries aplenty and an outsized amount of opportunity becoming available for some already solid plays, tonight is not a night to try and eek out 275 FanDuel points in your cash games. Fear not, though, the DFSR guys are bringing the goods. Some key situations to look at: Embiid being out against the Magic, the Celtics continuing to spread out Hayward's opportunity in a great spot vs. the Wizards, the redistribution of Eric Gordon's opportunity in Houston, insane minutes out of VanVleet and Siakam in Toronto, and a potential Anthony Davis absence for LA. Whew. With all of these openings, making winning DFS lineups on FanDuel and DraftKings is going to be tricky tonight. DFSR's Doug Norrie and James Davis are back on the NBA podcast breaking down a big Friday NBA slate for FanDuel and DraftKings. There's a lot to discuss with a number of injury concerns to evaluate and some big money plays who could be in line for huge games. Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving lead the charge at point guard and each are putting up stats beyond even the loftiest expectations. And there's also something of a Karl-Anthony Towns/ Andre Drummond challenge play scenario at center. They look at the Pacers injury issues, the T-Wolves possibly without Jeff Teague again and what will happen to the Sixers without Ben Simmons. It's a packed Friday NBA podcast. Doug and James are back to break down a full slate of NBA DFS basketball on FanDuel and DraftKings. The early season has been as exciting as advertised, which huge leaps by budding superstars in Luka Doncic and Andre Drummond, and some surprise leaps by total unknowns as well. The Warriors G-League squad upset the Trailblazers, but can they put together solid fantasy totals as 16.5 point underdogs against the Rockets? There are a bunch of injury situations to keep an eye on as well. If Turner and Sabonis miss their game tonight, Goga Bitadze has an incredibly high ceiling. With Kawhi on load management duty tonight, you can grab a bunch of different Clippers, but it could also free up the Bucks (Giannis in particular) for big nights as well. Doug Norrie is flying solo on the DFSR NBA podcast, breaking down the FanDuel and DraftKings plays for a bigger slate. The slate might start and stop with the Rockets and Nets who open with a crazy 241 over/under, 20 or so points higher than just about any other game on the slate. It makes sense considering how fast these two teams play and how little defense they employ. There are other interesting games as well with the Lakers playing the Mavericks and the Spurs going against the Stephen Curry-less Warriors. Learn more about your ad choices. With a huge Wednesday NBA slate looming, the DFSR guys are here with a comprehensive game by game breakdown. Without a lot of obvious cheap plays going tonight, we need to find value where we can get it, and it isn't going to be easy. The big question we have to ask ourselves in the early season is when we can trust small sample sizes. The guys believe that James Harden will go back to being the same super-efficient scorer he has been in the past, for instance, while also being somewhat concerned about Mike Conley's start to the season. They trust the growth we've seen from Brogdon and SGA, but are not as sold on Karl-Anthony Towns continuing to shoot 50%+ from three in perpetuity. Analyzing the early season differences in players is absolutely crucial to success at NBA DFS this time of year. Thankfully, that's what the DFSR guys specialize in. The DFSR crew is back after a successful first night of NBA DFS! While last night was pretty straightforward, tonight is a quagmire, and Doug and James do their best to give you a preview of what you can expect from each and every game on tonight's 11 game slate. They also talk about high level strategy for the beginning of the season. When can you accept a lower ceiling for a higher floor in cash games? Are there any players in new situations that we can feel comfortable playing in cash games? And how do those players affect the guys who are already on the team? James and Doug also discuss some early season punts, how to try and capture upside at the time of the season when the prices are most likely to change going forward, and more! NBA Season is back and the guys are getting into FanDuel and DraftKings lineups and pricing for the two-game slate. It's a fun one with plenty of starpower as well as some new situations to try to make sense of before the games tip-off. They break down the Pelicans-Raptors game with the former playing without Zion Williamson for the next 6-8 weeks. The generational rookie will need surgery to repair a meniscus issues. But the Pels without him have some solid DFS guys like Jrue Holiday and Brandon Ingram as well as Lonzo Ball. Meanwhile the Raptors have a core of guys who actually project well without Kawhi Leonard this season and we do have some track record of what the team will do without Leonard from last season. Pascal Siakam and Fred VanVleet in particular could both be chalk plays here. And then we get the Lakers-Clippers game with Lebron James and Anthony Davis facing off against the aforementioned Kawhi Leonard. This is appointment television as the two LA teams square off. The guys look at what to expect from Davis in his first game as a Laker and how to project the new(ish)-look Clippers. NBA season is back! The DFSR guys have been chomping at the bit from the moment the Raptors were cutting down the net last season, and they're ready to bring you all the info you need to get cracking on a profitable start to your betting and DFS seasons. Doug and James start by discussing their approach to such a tumultuous off season. While a lot of big pieces moved around, approaching each team requires a nuanced understanding of how opportunity and minutes will be spread around from this point forward. There's a big difference between projecting what the Raptors will do without Kawhi and what the Lakers will do with Davis, and the guys are hear to make sense of it all. They also break down how they look at betting win totals this early in the season. Will teams be as incentivized to tank after we saw the tanking teams lose in incredibly fashion in the offseason? DFSR’s Doug Norrie and James Davis take to the podcast discussing an eight-game NBA slate for FanDuel and DraftKings. They, of course, need to start out with Blake Griffin and the Pistons. The price has dropped across the board on this team and especially on Griffin who’s now sub-$8K on DraftKings against the Lakers.
