Tis the season to chat about trashy holiday horror! In this episode Jef, Josh and Brian dig deep into Santa's sack and hit the tippy bottom and come up with 1980's "To All A Good Night".  With arguably one of the worst VHS covers for a vintage Christmas slasher, this one doubles down by also being directed by the super creep from Last House on the Left, David Hess. However what it lacks in art, story and star power they fill in with blood, boobs, Santa and the one and only Harry Reems. So win win win!? This festive flick is currently streaming on TUBI so go give it a watch and join the FM3 for some Xmas fun! Happy Holidays!

pWotD Episode 2981: Hess triangle Welcome to Popular Wiki of the Day, spotlighting Wikipedia's most visited pages, giving you a peek into what the world is curious about today. With 288,058 views on Monday, 30 June 2025 our article of the day is Hess triangle. The Hess triangle is a triangular, 500-square-inch (3,200 cm2) plot of private land in the middle of a public sidewalk at the corner of Seventh Avenue and Christopher Street in the West Village neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City. The plot is an isosceles triangle covered by a mosaic plaque that reads "Property of the Hess Estate which has never been dedicated for public purposes." The Hess Triangle is the result of a dispute between the city government and the estate of David Hess, a landlord from Philadelphia who owned the Voorhis, a five-story apartment building. In the early 1910s, the city claimed eminent domain to acquire and demolish 253 buildings in the area in order to widen Seventh Avenue and expand the IRT subway. By 1913, the Hess family had exhausted all legal options. However, according to Ross Duff Wyttock writing in the Hartford Courant in 1928, Hess's heirs identified that a small corner of Plot 55 had been excluded during the city’s seizure of the Voorhis property and subsequently filed a notice of possession. The city asked the family to donate the diminutive property to the public, but they chose to hold out and installed the present, defiant mosaic on July 27, 1922.In 1938 the property, reported to be the smallest plot in New York City, was sold to the adjacent Village Cigars store (United Cigars at that time) for US$100 (equivalent to $2,234 in 2024). Later, Yeshiva University came to own the property, including the Hess Triangle, and in October 1995 it was sold by Yeshiva to 70 Christopher Realty Corporation. Subsequent owners have left the plaque intact. The triangle and Village Cigars shop behind it were placed on sale in 2021.This recording reflects the Wikipedia text as of 15:24 UTC on Tuesday, 1 July 2025.For the full current version of the article, see Hess triangle on Wikipedia. This podcast uses content from Wikipedia under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License.Visit our archives at wikioftheday.com and subscribe to stay updated on new episodes.Follow us on Mastodon at @wikioftheday@masto.ai.Also check out Curmudgeon's Corner, a current events podcast.Until next time, I'm generative Danielle.

But this isn't a sales pitch for them… I'm mentioning this because I want to give you a FREE bottle of Sauce as a Thank You for being a subscriber to this newsletter! All you need to do is reply to this email and I will send you a coupon code so that you can get a free bottle. That's it. No strings attached. I just can't thank you enough for supporting me on this journey of creating content and improving my health. Your support helped lift me out of a very dark place and I want to pay it back in a small way. Thank you again. Please reply to this email so that I can send you your own bottle. This week I had the pleasure of being a guest on the Rising Above Podcast with David Hess. David is a local guy that overcame a childhood of abuse and neglect suffered at the hands of his foster parents. He started this podcast as a way to share the stories of others that have overcame adversity to rise above. It was a great conversation. We talk about my background at Liquid Web, the Year Of The Opposite, his history of abuse, how my ownership of Liquid Web was structured, the joys of running, and much more. I hope that you enjoy this podcast as much as I did. Weight AchievementThis week I am happy to report that I achieved my target body weight goal and the lowest weight of my adult life, 173lbs! It was pretty cool because it was also at the end of a 10 mile run that I topped off with a 3 minute cold plunge. Check out this video. If the phone number isn't in your address book the call doesn't ring and it gets sent to voicemail. The call will still show up in your recent calls list. The caller doesn't know any different. It's amazing. It puts you in control of your phone again. To turn it on, go to Settings > Phone, then > Silence Unknown Callers, and turn on the feature. Or go to Settings, pull down to access Search, type “Silence Unknown Callers” and turn it on that way. Calls from unknown numbers are silenced and sent to your voicemail, and appear in your recent calls list.Today's newsletter is a short one because I really want to hear from you. I'm hoping that this will be a two way conversation. So please, even if you don't want the bottle of sauce, reply to this email and let me know you're out there. Tom and Dave turn on their dirty little cable boxes to do a deep dive into Linda Blair! First the gang clash over Roller Boogie (1979), which for Tom defines his adolescence and according to Dave is a movie about... roller skating. Then they watch the brutal rape and revenge flick Savage Streets (1984) where LB lets the world know she's not the little exorcist girl anymore, and finally they dig up the truly obscure, camp-fest Grotesque (1988). Also... Tom wants a 30 minute movie of Linda Blair farts! Dave doesn't understand the appeal of old Tab Hunter. Tom somehow compares John Vernon to Samuel L Jackson. David Hess demands you send payment! See Patrick Wilson's tip! Also MANY tangents covering the talents of Linnea Quigley, Donna Wilkes and Paul Rudd. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/tohellwiththispodcast/support

Ho Ho Holy shit, what a bad movie?! This week, as is tradition, Desmond and Duane ring in the holiday season with a review of a Christmas horror film. This week, it's David Hess's first and only film as a director: To All a Good Night. But, because the movie pretty much blows, they instead rundown their own favorite Christmas horror films in an impromptu double Dread Media Top 5 tucked into a review. Then, Duane has been telling Desmond to watch Better Watch Out for years, so he finally does and gives a short review of that much better film. And of course, we pay tribute to one of the greatest film composers of all-time. Carols included: "Snow Dome Dreams" by Angelo Badalamenti (RIP), "No Presents for Christmas" by King Diamond, "Merry Christmas (I Don't Want to Fight Tonight)" by The Ramones, and, of course, "Silent Night, Deadly Night (acoustic)" by The Browns. Greg is a long time listener and supporter of the show as well as a regular caller that has caused a world wide phenomena, YOU GOT BENSCHED.
