Kevin Jones spent 32 games with the Cavs during the 2012-13 season after a standout career at West Virginia. We talk about some CLE and NBA. He came on the podcast a few years ago to talk about his basketball upbringing and time in Cleveland. This time around, we're talking All Things B. League, where he currently plays in Japan. He shares the court with many former NBA players, including a current teammate, Cheick Diallo. With that said, we're getting an inside look at the basketball mind of Jones, and what it's like to play Overseas. We're also discussing how he would possibly tailor his game for the modern NBA, among many other subjects. So as always, make sure to buckle up and settle in. This should be a fun one. Brendon goes solo and breaks down the Suns' 121-105 loss to the Trail Blazers, as the Suns' lack of depth finally caught up to them. While just about every part of Portland's roster contributed as needed, the Suns could not survive poor offensive nights from multiple starters.Brendon discusses how Dario Saric can offset his defensive limitations by scoring and fighting on the glass, as well as Ricky Rubio's aggressive scoring and the precise environment in which Cheick Diallo can thrive. Then, the show closes with a breakdown of why Mikal Bridges has to keep scoring, and how the steal numbers told the story of the game.Follow on Twitter: @LockedOnPHXSuns, @esidery, @BrendonKleen14And visit lockedonpodcasts.com/advertising to partner with us! The DFSR team is back with a game by game breakdown for Wedneday's NBA DFS slate on FanDuel and DraftKings. The guys start by reflecting on some of the weird situations with huge ownership on back-ups this year, and then jump into some interesting back-up options for tonight in Cheick Diallo and De'Anthony Melton. As of now there aren't a lot of obvious punt plays jumping into the forefront, and these back-up options make it a little easier to get the excellent big payoff guys we're looking at tonight. The best payoff in the DFSR system is Luka Doncic, who just summarily destroyed the Pelicans with 18 rebounds through three quarters. He's the highest floor guy in the game right now since Middleton rejoined the Bucks, and looks like a great option here. Outside of these guys, it's a nuanced discussion around grabbing value where we can, so be sure to listen to Doug and James try to find those diamonds in the rough. The New Orleans Pelicans were thrilled to add Elfrid Payton and Julius Randle in free agency. They even brought back Ian Clark at the minimum! But will it be enough heading into the regular season? While Niko will likely man the 6th spot, the Pelicans still have question marks in Frank Jackson, Solomon Hill, Darius Miller, Cheick Diallo, and a soon to be 36 year old Emeka Okafor. The New Orleans Pelicans are bringing former Wildcat, Celtic, Sun, Maverick, King and Bulls point guard Rajon Rondo to town, and it's got all NOLA a buzz. But New Orleans also finished their Summer League campaign this past Friday. They finished a woeful 1-5 in their time, but walked away winners with studs Quinn Cook and Cheick Diallo enjoying breakout performances. However, it wasn't all guts and glory as some underwhelming performances were present as well in the bodied form of James Young and Axel Toupane.
