Are corporate boycotts today the enemy of the good? Companies making knee-jerk reactions cost local communities and small businesses real income and job loss. What makes it especially bad is these companies obviously didn't read the law and went along with dishonest talking points. Work to change laws and help the communities, don't pull out and hurt them. These knee-jerk reactions result in a form of economic bullying and the dangerous precedent that un-elected mega-corps boardrooms can over-ride the will of the voters. The very real fallout is hurting innocent people, small businesses, and in Atlanta, mostly black Americans. Opening to the show is a report by Fox 5 Atlanta. MLB's decisions cost Atlanta an estimated $100 million in lost revenue. Laws can be changed, this money and the good it does is lost forever. Atlanta small business owners are not happy. To fight "racists" laws, MLB moves a $100 million game from mostly black Atlanta to uber-white Denver CO, that has STRICTER voting laws than GA? Full text of the Georgia voting law. Fact-check of the 6 biggest claims opponents of the GA bill make. The GA bill is not Jim Crow. This was Jim Crow. To cap off the hypocrisy, many of the companies boycotting the state use modern slavery to make their products. Here is the ever-great Ami Horowitz doing his man on the street on the common talking points about blacks and ID.
It's that time of year. We take a deep-dive into the free agency moves so far and at the end give our tribute to the best player ever to put on the Black & Gold. We love you Drew Brees! The game won't be the same without you. Handy free agency tracker. Try not to cry as Drew bids farewell to the field. On a lighter note, cleaning my house lead to Ricky Williams and Coach Ditka. This never gets old.
So the Snyder cut is out. Here are our takes. All spoilers. #SnyderCut We also made a mistake, the recut and reshoots weren't $25 million, they were $70 million. $70 million.....
Are fan theories the enemy of the good? In this episode we critique fan theories and the effect they have on our favorite shows... and then proceed right into our own fan theories about upcoming Marvel shows. Fan theories can be fun, but don't let them ruin shows for you. Let the shows do that themselves. We are so ready for #TFATWS tomorrow! Here is the Looper article on some of the fan theories on TFATWS.
Yes, this is the cancel culture episode. Tootsy and the Captain break down Mr. Potato Head, Dr. Seuss, and Gina Carano cancellings and where this divisive, toxic movement is headed. Here is former Democrat Congresswoman and veteran Tulsi Gabbard on cancel culture. And here is the 2019 study that concluded Dr. Seuss books were racist. Good questions about each playoff game. Here is a fun article on Superbowl pairings based on ratings. This ranking of head coaching openings is pretty good. Jason Kelce airs it out about the ending to Eagles/WFT. Love him or hate him, Stephen A Smith's trolling of Cowboys fans is elite.
Week 16 and we still have competition for playoff spots. This has been a really good year for the league despite the challenges of COVID. J.J. Watt shows why he is a true leader and professional. Frank Gore broke the 16,000 rush yards mark, becoming only the third player to do so. The ending to the Dolphins/Raiders game is what the NFL is all about. This week's missed call comes to you from Lambeau. The Holly Roller rule is this year's Tuck Rule. It needs to be changed so contact fumbles can be recovered by any offensive player.
Show Notes Following in Blockbuster's footsteps, the theater industry is on the decline due to the rise of streaming and their slow response to make the movie experience more affordable. We give our takes on the future of theaters after COVID and ask "Are they the enemy of the good?" After that we get into The Mandelorian ending and surprise announcement. AMC has lost over 90% of their revenue since last year. Cinemark has lost over 96%. Here's the breakdown of where the price of a ticket goes. The lockdowns in the biggest movie markets aren't helping the industry.
The playoff picture levels out. Some really good games this week, some heartbreaking loses, a couple upsets, and a team both won and lost in the same game (Jets, it was the Jets). Later in the show we recap the playoff picture and cover a ridiculous rule change that epitomizes woke stupidity invading boardrooms, the Vincent rule. The Vincent rule is going to cost good black coaches jobs, per Jason Whitlock at Outkick. More from ESPN's Adam Schefter. Enjoy some funny takes from the Jets winning, but losing. ESPN's 'First Take' crew gets it.

We break down the week 14 games. Sad day for us Saints fans as they drop a trap game to a better-prepared Eagles squad. The playoff picture right now. Enjoy these sick one-handed interceptions by the Colts' Kenny Moore and Miami's Xavien Howard. Tootsy and the Captain run through the lead-up to election week and vent some frustration over the absolute disaster that has been the last few days. Despite all the evidence and litigation, the media decide to call it for Biden. The two of us have lost faith in our election system, and the longer this goes on, the more answers we need to get it back. 4 AM vote dumps, preventing poll watchers from witnessing counts, counting ballots that should be rejected, judges re-writing election law, software "glitches," and statistically impossible vote breaks in all the right places thanks to the above. Buckle up and please read the show notes. Read the Great Lakes Justice Center Michigan lawsuit. Read the Trump Campaign Pennsylvania lawsuit. Sidney Powell exposes 450,000 Biden-only votes and Democrat-run Dominion voting software. Mark Levin and Ken Starr break down why the Pennsylvania governor and state supreme court committed election fraud by circumventing the legislature and issuing unconstitutional changes to PA vote laws. Great statistical analysis, using New York Times national ballot counting time series data, of just how anomalous the late vote dumps in MI, GA. PA, WI, and VA were. H/T Steve Deace and CulturalHusbandry (@APhilosophae on Twitter) for bringing it to light. Another great look at the anomalies from National Pulse. More numbers on turnout and vote breaks in the key states. Our voter rolls are a mess, ripe for fraud. This Judaical Watch study shows 353 counties in 29 states with over 100% voter registration rates. There are 3,141 counties in the US. 2020 US election had the same problems as Ukraine's 2004 election. The US rejected that one. Robin Williams was pretty precinct about both Trump AND "glitches." Great movie.
Really good games in all the slots this week. Some great roller-casters and last-drive games. Ron Rivera leaving his final cancer treatment is the feels. Jason Whitlock's NFL Truths segments are great reads. Ex. This week's #5 "The most meaningless stat in football is passing yards." Tootsy agrees, captain doesn't. How are Adam Gase and Mike McCarthy still employed? San Francisco's injury woes continue. This team is the epitome of "next man up." Lane Kiffin hilariously calls out bad officiating. It's time to stop making this fine-able on clearly blown calls. Dan Snyder is a creeper.
Lockdowns are marital law without troops in the streets. Athletes and sportscasters have responsibility when speaking out about issues to also speak out against the riots and looting. Can anyone explain to me why mass protests are OK, but my job is still shut down? Show notes: Troy Aikman and Joe Buck revealed their ignorance and character when they thought no one was listening. Flyovers are part of training missions, costing taxpayers $0, and we need those to keep our pilots ready. See 9/11 Colin Kaepernick joins the chorus to abolish the police. Ray Lewis in 2015 needs to be echoed by athletes today. Riots have topped $2 Billion in damages. That's state-budget level damage. COVID deaths by age (Oct 8th) are right around seasonal flu levels for under 44. This 17 minute interview of Dr. Scott Atlas from the President's COVID task force is a must. If 26 million protesters can pack the streets while spitting in the wind at each other, why can't I willingly go to work or Tiger Stadium with my 86,000 healthy friends? Sturgis biker rally with 450,000 was not a superspreader, just like the protests. But that didn't stop politicized science. The Joe Biden corruption scandal keeps... getting... bigger...
Finally a COVID- free week. Time to bring back the fans! Power rankings and major injuries Who will be traded first? Jason Whitlock has the same questions about Mike McCarthy we do. NOLA had 100k in the streets a few weeks ago, but benevolently "allowed" 3,000 in the dome. Saints should have moved the game to Tiger Stadium.
Week five saw some close games, upsets, huge comebacks, as well as the loss of one of the game's stars for the season. COVID strike again for a 4-0 record so far.
Here we go again... Dems dragging up the 25th Amendment while Speaker Pelosi positions for 4 more years of impeachment or 4 years of President Harris. Notes: The Speaker's full press conference. Questions at the end are surprisingly good. President Trump is right on here. Full text of the Raskin bill. The full text of the 25th.
The President got COVID, the responses are ridiculous. Divisive politics are ruining the NBA and hurting the NFL. Topped off with a bit of perspective on climate. Show Notes: Yes, the virus is serious, but don't let fear rule you life. Some classy responses to the President contracting COVID. Here's Hillary's 2016 national spokeswoman. And here's Joy Reid feeding a conspiracy theory that President Trump is faking it. Timeline of the Trump Administration's response to COVID since early January. WHO didn't declare COVID an international emergency until Jan 30th. George Carlin summed up climate hysteria better than anyone. Crime is up TRIPLE digits in major cites as riots continue. Allow violence, get more. Chicago spent $63 million on a temporary hospital that treated 38 patients.
