Plus, the Clippers and Kawhi Leonard controversy sparks debate over possible punishment, while the Giants' opening stretch against the Cowboys and Rams raises the pressure to show immediate progress.

Hour 1 of The Drive kicks off with Zach and Phil cross-talking with Dover and Cecil. The guys preview college football as Week 0 kicks off this weekend. Zach shares his Heisman sleeper and the sleeper team he's picking to make the college football playoff. Zach and Phil debate if the Broncos have a penalty issue. Are the Broncos undisciplined? Will an increase in zone coverage help the Broncos avoid defensive holding and pass interference calls? Do the Broncos need to win the AFC West to win the Super Bowl this season? Where does the Broncos' run game stack up in the AFC West? We react to a report that Juju Lewis was considering transferring to Georgia Tech this offseason, the Buffs' first opponent of the season. Is Lewis still a lock to be the Buffs' starting quarterback this season, or could Isaac Wilson take over that role?
In hour 3 of The Drive, Zach and Phil debate what Jonathan Cooper's future with the Broncos and NFL will look like. Could Cooper end up on the NFL Commissioner's exempt list to start the season? Which Broncos would be asked to step up if Cooper misses part of the regular season? We hear from Vance Joseph on the lessons learned from what the Packers did on offense against the Broncos' defense. How can the Broncos' defense combat offenses that get the ball out quickly and don't allow the pass rush to get home to the quarterback? We debate if the Broncos have a penalty issue. Are the Broncos an undisciplined team? We analyze who the Broncos' biggest offenders are when it comes to penalties and discuss if running more zone defense will help. Do the Broncos need to win the AFC West to win the Super Bowl this season? Where does the Broncos' run game stack up in the AFC West?
In hour 4 of The Drive, Zach and Phil continue to break down the Broncos and the AFC West. Where does Bo Nix rank in the division as far as quarterbacks go? How do the guys feel about Sean Payton saying that Bo Nix will likely not play in the Broncos' third preseason game? Are the Broncos doing a disservice to JK Dobbins if he doesn't play at all in preseason? We pivot to the Colorado Buffaloes and react to a report that Juju Lewis was considering transferring to Georgia Tech this offseason, the Buffs' first opponent of the season. Does this explain why Deion Sanders has talked about Lewis the way he has? Is Lewis still a lock to be the Buffs' starting quarterback this season, or could Isaac Wilson take over that role? We wrap up the show recapping what we learned in Denver sports today, including the NFL's Pro Bowl going away.
The Prophet Playoff Theory is back, and this time we're breaking down the AFC West — a division loaded with questions, expectations, and plenty of room for the Prophets to disagree. We start with last year's division champs, the Denver Broncos. Was their success in one-score games a sign of a team that knows how to win, or is regression to the mean coming? Will Bo Nix take another major step forward, or has Sean Payton already put him in the perfect situation? Then there's the Kansas City Chiefs. After a rare down year, Kansas City is retooling — and Rashad and Kev aren't exactly impressed with everything they see. But there are two things that make counting out the Chiefs dangerous: Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes. When you have those two, anything is possible. In Las Vegas, the Raiders bring in Klint Kubiak to lead the offense, With rookie Fernando Mendoza waiting in the wings, could Vegas have a bigger decision on its hands than expected? And finally… “The Chargers are the Chargers.” — Rashad. We all know what that means. The Los Angeles Chargers have the talent, Justin Herbert, and a roster capable of competing for the division. But can they stay healthy in the spots that matter most? If the offensive line and key defensive pieces stay healthy, could this finally be the year the Chargers turn potential into playoff success?Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/preach-kev-preach-w-rashad--2977392/support.

The GM Shuffle presented by DraftKings and VSiN returns with a loaded episode covering the biggest NFL storylines heading into the final week of the preseason. Hosts Femi Abebefe and former NFL general manager Marty Hurney break down the Cleveland Browns officially naming Deshaun Watson their Week 1 starting quarterback, the complicated salary-cap implications of his contract, and whether Cleveland could eventually turn to rookie Shedeur Sanders. The episode also covers Geno Smith and the New York Jets' promising preseason performance, Michael Penix Jr.'s return to 11-on-11 work with the Falcons, Baker Mayfield's confidence in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Mike Vrabel's comments about the Patriots' roster depth. Then, the show dives deep into the AFC West, examining all four teams:
The St. Louis Cardinals suffered one of the most painful losses of the season Sunday, blowing a 4-0 lead in the ninth inning before Kyle Schwarber's two-run walk-off homer gave Philadelphia a 6-4 victory. The loss capped a disappointing 5-6 road trip and dropped the Cardinals to 66-66. So, is the NL Wild Card still realistically in play? Absolutely—but the margin for error is getting smaller. The Cardinals entered the weekend only 3½ games behind the final Wild Card spot, but they're now sitting at .500 while teams such as Arizona, San Diego and Philadelphia remain ahead of them in the race. Arizona's win over Cincinnati kept the Diamondbacks firmly in the mix at 69-62. The bigger concern may be whether St. Louis can survive its pitching situation. Andre Pallante is on the injured list with elbow inflammation, while Hunter Dobbins is also dealing with a forearm issue. The Cardinals will need their pitching depth—and their offense—to hold up over the final weeks. Then it's time for our 2026 NFL Divisional Winners Predictions. We go division by division and make our picks—not necessarily just taking the betting favorite. The current market has Buffalo favored in the AFC East, Baltimore in the AFC North, Houston in the AFC South and Kansas City among the AFC West favorites, while Philadelphia is favored in the NFC East and the NFC West remains particularly interesting after the Rams' offseason addition of Myles Garrett. The fun debate: Which division winner are we most confident in, and which favorite is most likely to get knocked off? The 2026 NFL futures market shows just how tight some of these races could be.
