I love listening to podcasts and I’ve been thinking of how I can make the MOST of my time. Watching the Office and Disney Plus is fun... but is it making me any better? Heck no. So how can I put my time to good use? I want to interview highly respected people and who crush it at what they do. It doe…
As I look back and reflect on my 2021 goals like many of us are right now, I fell short of many of my goals. One of my goals for the Mentor Me Podcast was to record and publish 40 podcasts in 2021. I only did 20. And I started to ask myself why I only did half the amount of podcasts I wanted and the answer I kept coming to was that I only put in enough action to get to 20 podcasts. I only put enough work in to do 20 podcasts. Now, I thought about doing podcasts or ideas about the podcast all the time, but a lot of those times thats where it stopped. It stopped at the idea and never made it to the action step. Welcome back to another episode of the Mentor Me podcast! I'm very excited to share this episode with you. The guest on today's podcast is Jesse Cole, president of Fans First Entertainment. Jesse is also the author of "Find Your Yellow Tux", which I just finished reading and is an incredible book. Jesse owns two baseball teams under Fans First Entertainment, one of them being the Savannah Banana's. You may not recognize the Savannah Banana's name, but you've definitely seen them on Sportscenter Top 10 before. Baseball team is not even the right way to describe what Jesse owns.... baseball circus might be better! They've created a whole new kind of baseball entertainment, with sold out shows and fans laughing so hard they can't wait for the next game. In this episode Jesse & I talk a lot about the importance of being "Fans First" and being unique in business. The biggest takeaway I had from this podcast was when Jesse talked about the importance of entertaining, because then you never have to sell. If you entertain with your business, people will want to buy from you! They will find you! Let me know your favorite part of the podcast, enjoy! Mentor Me Podcast Channel

When I told my brother I'd be interviewing Anthony Iannarino on the Mentor Me Podcast, he told me "Oh really?! He is a sales legend!" When my brother told me that, I knew this was going to be a great conversation. Anthony Iannarino is an international speaker, best-selling author and leader in the sales industry. Many people in the sales industry look to Anthony for tips to improve their sales skills. Often times, sales people get a bad reputation. You've heard of the saying "snake oil salesman". The sales person who is trying to make the sale regardless of whether it is good or bad for the buyer. This is NOT what Anthony Iannarino teaches to the sales industry. It's actually the exact opposite. Anthony will tell you the key to becoming the best sales person you can be, you have to understand your customers business better than they do. You also have to bring value to your customer which means you have to understand what the value to your customer is. Here is part two with Lee Richter! This episode I had the pleasure of having business innovator, entrepreneur and best-selling author Lee Richter on the Mentor Me Podcast. Lee helps others overcome challenges in their business. And she has the stage to do so because she has grown multiple businesses herself! Lee has been recognized in the Top 100 Women Business Leaders as well as being featured on the list of Top 100 Fastest Growing Businesses in the San Francisco area. Along with those prestigious nominations, Lee is also a best-selling author of her book How to Create Events to Remember: Event Experts Share Their Success Secrets. Lee is also a producer as well as being on the Forbes Business Council. To speak to Lee's character in the hour I had the opportunity to sit with her, I noticed a few great qualities. The first is that Lee wants to give away her gifts & tools freely. Before the podcast, Lee had invited me to join the Clubhouse app with one of her invites. She provided value to me by inviting me to join the app and learn from other business leaders, entrepreneurs and thought leaders. The second quality I noticed in her is that she is a lifelong learner. Lee is constantly learning from others. The day we recorded, she was up at 5 A.M. learning about Bitcoin, cryptocurrencies and NFTs. Those are the qualities that sets Lee apart in both business and life. On this episode of the Mentor Me Podcast, Lee talks about showing up to work and life being "Batteries Included" as well as having a positive mindset and outlook on life. I had the pleasure of sitting down and talking with Ryan Walsh, CEO of Valqari. If you haven't heard of Valqari yet, you will in the near future. As technology advances, the idea of drone delivery becomes much more realistic... and Ryan believes we will begin to see drone deliveries in the next 12-18 months. Now Valqari is in the drone industry, but they don't make drones. They make Smart Drone Delivery Mailboxes that help create a safe space for drone deliveries to occur. In the next five years, it seems that Valqari will be a huge name in this space. Right out of highschool Ryan jumped into the military. He didn't want his career to have the same experiences as everyone else. While in the military, Ryan served 3 tours in Iraq & Afghanistan before returning home and beginning his post-military career which eventually led him to starting Valqari. I had the pleasure of speaking with family man, businessman and author, Mark Timm. Mark’s business interest started at a young age, where he found himself under the wing of the world famous speaker, salesman and author, Zig Ziglar. Zig Ziglar is a legend in the sales space and has mentored and taught thousands of people through his speaking engagements. Mark eventually took much of the knowledge he gained from Zig & other mentors and started his own business in his late 20’s. Since then, Mark has owned & sold over 12 different businesses and more recently he became an author of the book Mentor to Millions: Secrets of Success in Business, Relationships, and Beyond which he co-authored with Kevin Harringon, one of the original sharks on the ABC show SharkTank. Mark talks about the importance of being confident in who you are, what you know and being fine with what you don't. Being able to ask questions and ask for help is a major topic Mark hits on and he encourages all people to find a mentor who is a life long learner. That way you are learning from people who are always learning. I really hope this encourages you to reach out to people to mentor you in your life. It definitely encouraged me to do so. In this episode Brendan talks about his decision to join the military, the loss of his mother in college and many leadership tips he has learned along the way.
