In this Hall of Fame episode of The Blueprint Podcast, we sit down with Umesh Kalra to unpack one of the fastest deals ever secured inside the Property Entrepreneur community. During an online War Room with Daniel Hill, Umesh gave a simple brief: Find me a deal. Up to £500k cash. Pull all my money back out. Cashflow positively. Within minutes, they found it live in the room - a block of five apartments on Rightmove. That was Thursday at noon. By Friday at 16:29, contracts had been exchanged. A deal sourced, assessed, funded and secured in just 28 hours. But this story is about far more than one deal. When Umesh joined Property Entrepreneur in 2022, he had already founded Moneyrow Properties. He had a product and a brand, but he didn't yet have the Blueprint for how to build and scale it. In this episode, Umesh shares the hurdles he had to overcome, from finding the right market strategy and building the right team, to surrounding himself with the right peer group and learning how to create a more balanced Life by Design. Success and failure are both predictable. We hope you enjoy. Upcoming Webinar: Replace Your Income From ONE Deal If you've been listening to the podcast and feeling inspired to go out and do deals, I'd like to invite you to join me live.   On Wednesday, 17 June at 1pm UK time, I'll be hosting a one-off webinar where I'll show you how to replace your income with ONE deal in 2026.   During the session, I'll be sharing:   * The Top 3 Deal Strategies for 2026 * The Top 5 Problems You Need to Overcome * How to Work Less, Earn More and Have Fun Doing It   It's completely live and won't be repeated.

YouTube has changed more in the past year than in any year before it — and it's mostly because of AI. Not just creators using AI to make content, but YouTube itself using AI to power the algorithm. It's already outdated. In this episode, I'm breaking down the 7 biggest shifts happening on YouTube right now and exactly how to adjust your strategy so you can grow your channel — even if you're starting from scratch. Here's the thing: yes, there are more creators on the platform than ever. But there are also more viewers than ever. In this episode, Elaine Mingus and R. Kenner French explore one of the biggest questions facing business owners today: how can artificial intelligence help companies grow without overwhelming the people running them?Kenner shares how AI has become central to his business operations, especially as his company serves thousands of clients and brings in dozens of new clients each month. Without technology and artificial intelligence, that level of growth would be difficult to manage efficiently. For business owners who feel buried under constant calls, texts, client requests, and operational tasks, this conversation highlights how AI can reduce workload while improving work-life balance. The discussion also explores the importance of becoming an “AI company first.” Kenner explains that automation is not just about productivity—it is part of his long-term retirement plan. By building systems that can serve clients, answer questions, and handle repeatable workflows, AI gives business owners more freedom to spend time with family, travel, and step away from the daily pressure of always being available.

Britain's ‘Lost Generation': One in Six Young People Face a Workless Future

Over a million young people aged 16 to 24 are currently not in education, employment or training. Former Cabinet Minister Alan Milburn argues that without urgent action, that figure could rise to one in six within five years. How has this happened? Milburn points to young people's ‘aspiration', but a job market that is failing them, following increases to employer's national insurance and the minimum wage. Julia adds young people's attitudes… and failed parenting. Ryan Wayne from the Tony Blair Institute joins the show to discuss the report, as well as Tony Blair's criticism of the government. Julia questions his boss's legacy — mass immigration from Eastern Europe, the 50% university target, and net zero — arguing they systematically dismantled opportunities for a generation of young Brits.Lord Daniel Hannan, incoming Director General of the Institute of Economic Affairs, lays out the economics that have led to our current malaise: punishing hikes in National Insurance, the Rayner Employment Rights Bill, and a near two-thirds rise in the minimum wage since lockdown have made hiring young people a risk too far for businesses. Add to that a welfare system riddled with perverse incentives, a surge in mental health diagnoses with patients coached by online influencers, and a lockdown hangover we've barely begun to recover from — and the picture is bleak. Also: Dame Helen Mirren, 80 years old and walking through London with her husband, is subjected to a foul-mouthed tirade by a pro-Palestine activist. Philip Ingram MBE connects the dots between Iran's Revolutionary Guard and the radicalisation driving these shocking street confrontations.Julia Hartley-Brewer broadcasts on Talk from Monday to Thursday, 10AM to 1PM. In this episode of the Seven Figure Consultant Podcast, originally broadcast in December 2023, I had the pleasure of interviewing my amazing client, Alecia Huck. Alecia is the founder and CEO of MAVERICK & Company, a management consulting firm that specialises in working with the leadership teams of fast-growing companies. Alecia shared her inspiring business journey and the valuable insights she has gained along the way. We also discussed the importance of valuing the work we do over the amount of time we spend doing it, shifting from a time-based approach to a value-based approach to work less while achieving even greater results. As women entrepreneurs, Alecia and I also delved into the unique challenges we face in the business world. We discussed the importance of letting go of control and embracing collaboration, as well as the need for self-acceptance and gratitude in our professional relationships. Alecia's story is truly inspiring, and her insights are invaluable for anyone looking to grow their consulting business. In This Episode: [00:00:48] Jessica and Alecia discuss how they first met and decided to work together after a serendipitous LinkedIn post. [00:04:15] Alecia shares the journey of her business, from starting as an entrepreneur with no experience to finding her niche in working with leadership teams in fast-growing companies. [00:07:29] Working less and earning more, and the importance of shifting focus from time-based to value-based work. [00:12:43] The difficulties of breaking free from old narratives and habits that prioritise overworking. [00:16:13] Relying on others and allowing them to make decisions for the business or brand. [00:18:58] The need to let go of control, loosen up, and take action without striving for perfection. [00:21:37] The reality of entrepreneurship and how it often involves unexpected challenges and growth opportunities. [00:23:21] Big wins and personal growth. [00:26:07] The limitations of working more and the impact of self-acceptance on one's effectiveness. [00:29:27] Breaking out of old paradigms to achieve new results and make a difference in the lives of others. Key Takeaways:  As consultants and coaches, the work we do can have a significant impact on businesses beyond just finances, such as employee happiness and team dynamics. Many business owners who have grown their companies organically end up feeling overwhelmed and trapped by their success. Alecia and I both advocate for a shift in mindset from being a freelancer who tracks time to being an expert who focuses on delivering value. As women entrepreneurs, we often rely on ourselves too much and find it difficult to allow others to help and make decisions about our business. It's important to let go and allow others to contribute - We don't need to control everything! Find a balance between working less and earning more. Pushing too hard can lead to burnout and limit growth. True brilliance comes from self-acceptance and being comfortable with yourself. Quotes: "We mix up time and value, right? Because time is really easy to quantify and value can be hard to quantify. And what I think is really great is that if you actually make this shift from valuing your time and talking about things in terms of time and focusing on how long you work… if you shift over to thinking about the value you produce, I think that's better for your clients." - Alecia Huck "I call them your snakes in your brain, the voice that's kind of negative, right? It's a little distracting. And you do something really great and it goes, 'oh, you're just a spotlight hog'. We all have snakes in the brain, and some of us have snakes informed by trauma and really, you know, intense things in our past and that can make them nastier and more subtle. But, this year was a year where I worked probably less than I ever had. And I want to be really clear, the results that I produced with my people were extraordinary." - Alecia Huck "I think that we often are so self-reliant, and there are often backstories that completely explain why we're like that, but I think for women entrepreneurs, we rely on ourselves aggressively. And we have to be told how to include other people and how to allow other people to help us, because actually, that's not something that comes naturally." - Jessica Fearnley Useful Links Alecia: Alecia's LinkedIn MAVERICK & Company Website Jessica: Buy Jessica's book, Too Much, on Amazon Get in touch with Jessica to discuss your consulting business Leave a rating and review for the Seven Figure Consultant Podcast Connect with Jessica on LinkedIn Guest Bio Alecia Huck is the founder and owner of MAVERICK & Company, a management consulting firm that specialises in working with the leadership teams of fast-growing companies. "Don't do what you think the world needs, do what makes you come alive." Most entrepreneurs sitting on decades of hard-won expertise have no idea that knowledge alone could be their next business. James Allen is the founder of Profit Your Knowledge, a platform helping coaches, creators, and experts turn what they know into scalable, freedom-based online businesses. He left a six-figure union construction career at 22 with no roadmap, just a belief that he'd only make money doing things he enjoyed.  James shares the frameworks, mindset shifts, and practical systems behind monetizing expertise and why this conversation matters deeply for founders thinking about what comes after their current chapter.   Key Insights The Expert Paradox is real — and it's costing you. The more qualified you are to solve a problem, the less impressive it feels to you. What seems ordinary to you could be exactly what someone else is desperate to learn and willing to pay for. Use the Income Intersection Framework to find your profitable idea. The sweet spot lives at the intersection of three things: something you have experience with, something people are actively paying money to learn, and something you genuinely enjoy teaching. All three must be present. You can't figure out your niche in your head — you have to talk to people. Worksheets and solo brainstorming only go so far. Real clarity comes from getting into conversations, working with people, and discovering who energizes you and who doesn't. Charge for outcomes, not hours. Packaging your expertise into a high-value offer — rather than selling single sessions — is what creates both income and freedom. One $10,000 client beats a hundred $100 sessions every time. YouTube is the most leveraged long-term system for coaches and experts. Consistent, niche-specific content compounds over time, brings the right people to you, and converts viewers into paying clients — even at 12 subscribers and 17 videos. Your next chapter doesn't have to be a cold stop. For founders stepping back from their current business, monetizing expertise creates a natural on-ramp to what's next — a way to stay alive, relevant, and financially active without starting from zero.   Chapters: 00:00 - 01:35 - Introduction and James's Origin Story 02:20 - 03:28 - Growing Up, Personal Development 03:29 - 05:30 - Leaving Construction & Taking the Leap 05:55 - 08:02 - The Knowledge Monetization and The Expert Paradox 08:03 - 09:10 - You're Undervaluing What You Know 09:11 - 10:38 - Real Client Stories: Landing a deal even with 12 videos 11:25 - 16:49 - Building a Business & Finding Your Niche 16:50 - 17:50 - Time Saving & Creating Your Own Process  17:51 - 25:10 - Systems and Pricing: How to Work Less and Earn More 25:37 - 26:20 - The On-Ramp/Off-Ramp for Founders Eyeing Their Next Chapter 26:21 - 27:38 - Rapid Fire: Books, Tools, Mistakes, and Best Advice 27:39 - 29:16 - What Succession Means to James Allen   Is your business truly ready—and are you? Higher food prices, economic instability, and other factors have made providing for a family even harder. 1 in 8 households in the U.S. is food insecure. That means these families don't have enough money or resources to buy enough food for everyone in their household. As recently as 2022, 7.3 million children lived in food insecure households. Also, 16.9% of children live in poverty.   SNAP Benefits More than 22 million U.S. households use SNAP benefits to help with food costs, as of April 2023. Sometimes known as "food stamps," SNAP is the federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program. People who receive SNAP benefits can use it to buy groceries, seeds, and plants for food. SNAP cannot be used to purchase hot food or household items like cleaning supplies, vitamins, or diapers.   CONNECT WITH Cedric Francis Website: https://www.lead2greatness.com/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/cedricbfrancis X: https://twitter.com/cedricbfrancis Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/cedricbfrancis/ • • LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/cedric-b-francis-a0544037/

And his message is clear: when it comes to AI, there is no middle ground. There's a thrive option and a die option — and the clock is ticking. In this episode, you'll learn:Why AI is not optional for entrepreneurs and what "thrive or die" really means for your business and your family's financial futureThe four levels of AI adoption — and how to move from using it as a glorified Google to building end-to-end businesses that run without human interventionHow Peter is building a business he projects could generate over $100 million a year with zero human employees — and the jaw-dropping math behind itWhy context matters more than prompting — and the 500-to-1 ratio that will immediately improve everything you get out of AIPeter's simple 15-minute-a-day prescription for any parent or entrepreneur who doesn't know where to start with AIThe concept of "whole life decision making" — how Peter feeds AI his spiritual, financial, family and personal goals so every business decision serves his whole life, not just his bottom lineWhat 30% unemployment could actually look like — and the three solutions being discussed at the highest levels of government and businessWhy Peter is focused entirely on soft skills when raising his kids — empathy, adaptability, resilience and communication — and why those are the skills AI still can't replicateHow Peter's kids are already learning entrepreneurial thinking at home — with debit cards, chores, and pitching dad for what they wantThis episode will challenge the way you think about work, freedom, technology and what it means to set your kids up for a future that looks nothing like today.Show notes and more at:https://moneydadpodcast.com/session079Support the show

We talk about the quiet months after separation, the shock of corporate culture, and how loss redirected Chanda toward nonprofit work and, ultimately, coaching. What emerges is a playbook for clarity: simplify your goals, choose the 20 percent that moves the needle, and build systems that protect your energy. You'll hear the real hurdles behind the highlight reel—why visibility feels harder than leadership briefings, how “professionalism” can become armor, and what it takes to show up online without burning out. Chanda shares the frameworks she uses with clients: calendar audits to find hidden time, batching to guard focus, and the delegate automate eliminate lens to keep work light. We pair that with the 12-week year and daily Top Three priorities so you always know the next right step. When life surges—aging parents, empty nests, surprise detours—you'll learn how to maintain minimum viable momentum and return stronger. This conversation is built for veterans, entrepreneurs, and anyone who wants a business that serves life, not the other way around. Expect practical moves, warm honesty, and a reminder that community and accountability turn courage into results. If your why is ready but your plan is fuzzy, press play, grab your notes, and start small today. Loved this episode? You didn't start your practice to feel trapped inside it. Yet somewhere along the way, longer hours became normal. Days off felt stressful. And the idea of stepping away—even briefly—started to feel impossible. If you've ever thought, “If I'm not there, everything falls apart,” you're not alone. In this episode of Eye Own a Business, Dr. Ruth Mannschreck shares a powerful story that began with a personal crisis—and led to a complete rethinking of how a practice can run. What started as a necessity turned into a blueprint for freedom. Not by working harder. Not by sacrificing care or growth. But by building the right systems, empowering the right people, and leading in a fundamentally different way. This conversation isn't about shortcuts or “hacks.” It's about a shift—from being the engine of your practice to becoming its architect. This episode shows you what's possible when your business finally supports your life, not the other way around. In this episode, you'll learn: Why you're working too much—and what actually allows you to work less How to build systems that run the practice without constant doctor input The real reason delegation often fails (and how to fix it) Simple ways to empower your team without losing control How intentional culture and leadership create freedom, not chaos Follow our Podcast on All Available Platforms Follow our Podcast on Instagram Follow IDOC on Facebook Follow IDOC on LinkedIn Watch our Podcast Video on YouTube

Jenna Harrison is my guest and the founder of The Uncommon Way. She is a coach whose own business evolution went from frantic hustle to a thoughtful 24‑hour workweek that supports her creativity, family life, and joy. In this episode, Jenna shares how she overcame burnout, what shifted for her personally and professionally, and the mindset and framework she now uses to help other coaches reclaim their time and create more purposeful impact (without working more hours). We unpack the sneaky thoughts that pull us back into overworking, why constraints spark creativity, and how to stop doing things “just because.” We get into nervous system patterns, tactical boundaries like scheduling CEO time, and how creative business results come from resonance, not hours. Whether you feel overwhelmed, guilty for trying to take breaks, or stuck thinking “I'll just finish one more thing first,” this episode is going to shift how you think about time, energy, creativity, and productivity — and give you permission to design the life you actually want instead of the one you inherited from hustle culture. What You'll Learn Why Jenna shifted to a 24‑hour workweek and how she maintained business growth in the process The deep thoughts that keep coaches working more than they want to How constraints (like limited hours) actually boost prioritization, intuition, and strategic thinking Jenna's three‑pillar framework: Offers • Systems • You (CEO mindset) The role of nervous system regulation in creative business output Practical ways to reclaim time + stop the “I'll just do this first” trap What real CEO time is and why it's non‑negotiable A simple starting question to shift your time and results
