The Otterly Mama podcast has become an absolute favorite of mine. Emily and her guests bring a breath of fresh air to the world of motherhood, offering a perspective that is nurturing, encouraging, and filled with love. It is such a joy to listen to the conversations on this podcast and feel connected to a community of women who understand the highs and lows of motherhood. In a world where the hard parts of being a mom are often left unspoken, The Otterly Mama dives right in, discussing topics that no one else seems to touch upon.
One of the best aspects of The Otterly Mama is its raw honesty. Emily fearlessly talks about the challenges she has faced as a mother, creating a safe space for her guests and listeners to share their own experiences without judgment. It's refreshing to hear mothers and even expecting fathers discuss their fears, doubts, and struggles openly. This transparency not only creates a sense of solidarity but also provides valuable insights on how to navigate through difficult times.
Not only does this podcast focus on the tough moments, but it also celebrates the joys of motherhood. Emily's interviews highlight incredible stories of resilience, triumphs both big and small, and the beauty found in everyday moments. These heartwarming tales serve as inspiration for listeners while reminding us all that we are capable, strong, and deserving of love and support.
While The Otterly Mama offers so much positivity and connection, there are times when it may feel slightly overwhelming for those who are not parents themselves or do not have immediate plans for starting a family. The content can be heavily tailored towards parenting-related topics which may limit its appeal to a more specific audience. However, even those who aren't directly experiencing motherhood can still find value in hearing these stories as they offer insight into an important aspect of many people's lives.
In conclusion, The Otterly Mama podcast is an absolute gem in the podcasting world. It fills the void of conversations that need to be had but are often left untouched. Emily's nurturing and loving voice, combined with the openness and honesty of her guests, creates a sense of community that is vital in times of isolation. Whether you're a mother, a friend of a mother, or simply someone seeking connection, The Otterly Mama is certainly worth tuning into. It provides moments of laughter, tears, understanding, and growth – all wrapped up in a delightful podcast package.

In today's episode, Emily chats with a local Austin, TX Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Teresa Franz who owns her own business, Hope Tribe Counseling, about Comparison Culture. Emily and Teresa are like old friends chatting about how to be a good enough mom which you'll be super surprised to hear that you DO NOT have to be perfect. Kids need to see you fail and thrive. They need to see you make mistakes and move on because you are teaching them how to cope and deal with all types of situations. You can not shelter them from the world but you can teach them to love themselves and look within. As a parent your children look to you for so many aspects of their life. So why not show them a healthy way of interacting on social media and applauding others successes and put aside the inherent competitive nature we as a culture create? So its time to take down your guard, be authentic with those around you and get real your friends on social media as well as those in person. https://www.hopetribetx.com Check out Teresa's website and show her some love on social feeds! Both women are passionate about assisting individuals on their journey to motherhood through fitness and Eastern Medicine. Jolene supports moms to build their strength and fitness community. Sadie not only helps individuals with infertility and reproductive health with Eastern Medicine but she loves connecting individuals with resources to support them through their motherhood journey. Nobody ever said motherhood was easy. Let's face it, doing it alone is not fun, so however we can help one another, the better we'll all be. Who would've thought that too unique individuals on different paths share the same passion for helping others build their communities. Music By: Jason Kozel Want to hear more from Jolene and Sadie?
