It's been 10 years since the debut of this amazing show. I wanted to talk to the people behind the scenes to uncover who wrote what and what it was like bringing to life our favorite comedy. We'll talk about the best jokes, the best moments, and everything we've learned from 6 years at our favorite…
In this bonus episode, Matt and Mike from the Community fan account @Communiess joins Ivan "The Community Lego Guy" for a conversation about his @CommunityTV Lego set. Enjoy!
I was on a boat, but Matt from Communiess and Dan from Apartment 303 interviewed for us Broken Lizard's own Jay Chandrasekhar who directed nine episodes of Community!
Blood Ties is out on Wondery and Apple Podcasts. It stars our favorite Gillian Jacobs. We tried to make a promo ad. This episode is that effort. If that sounds fun to you, please listen. It's worth it.
Our family members are not always who we think. When Eleonore Richland exposed her father's dark legacy, she vowed to clean up the family business – and hired her half-brother, Santino Reyes, to help her do it. But old habits die hard. In the shocking new third season, Eleonore reckons with what her father always taught her growing up: medicine is a bloody business. From Wondery, the makers of “The Shrink Next Door” and “Dr. Death,” Blood Ties stars Gillian Jacobs (Community, Love), Christian Navarro (13 Reasons Why), and Peter Stormare. Listen to all six episodes ad free on Wondery+ on May 9.
We're back for a special episode of Six Seasons and a Podcast! I'm joined by not one but TWO amazing Andys. Andy Bobrow was a writer on Community and shares with us some of his experiences on the show. Andy Stanton is the writer of the Mr Gum book series and tells a wonderful story about visiting the Community Set. Together they have created the first and only podcast about the iconic British TV show The Tumbler's Willy. We discuss their new podcast The Tumbler's Willy Podcast which you can find more information at www.tumblerswillypodcast.comOr https://open.spotify.com/episode/1FHkU4wL26ma3dGZrGehot?si=qAu2Ts2lRMmGWHbbgLlg8Q&utm_source=copy-link
Hey folks. Here is the final (probably. maybe. we'll see) episode of 2021...and possibly the second last of the podcast (probably. maybe. we'll see) depending if/when Dan is available to chat. It's been another fun year at Six Seasons and a Podcast and my final chat with was Alex Rubens (Community, Rick and Morty). The funny thing is it took Alex and I six months to find a time and date that worked for us and it only took me another six months to publish this episode, so it feels like Alex and I are old friends at this point. Either way. Enjoy this great conversation.
Batter Up, folks! We're going back in time to pre-playoff baseball. This episode was recorded back in October but for a lot of reasons I just didn't get a chance to publish it. Here it is as a surprise release in December. Greg Cromer (Rich from Community!), Josh Nelson (Sox Machine Podcast), Caleb Sawyer (Advanced Community Studies), and Luke Matthews (Who was my second guest ever on SSAAP!) all joined me for a chat about Community, Cardinals baseball, White Sox baseball, and playoff chances. TL:DR - It's a funny conversation where ALL of our predictions go wrong. Enjoy!
There's only one Garrett Lambert. There's only one Erik Charles Nielsen. We got him, folks. And it's worth every moment. Zach from You Can't Disappoint a Podcast joins me for this excellent episode that is funny and emotional. Enjoy.
Advanced Community Studies own Kevin Lannigan joined me for an awesome conversation with Tim about Community, Vice Principals, and more. I really enjoyed this one. Hope you do to.
Surprise! New Episode Alert! This week Matt (from Communiess) and Alex chat with Community and AP Bio writer Emily Cutler to talk about the craft and her experiences on the shows.
I asked my brothers to watch my top ten favorite episodes of Community and figure out if I was crazy or not. We were supposed to do this over the internets, but I got the idea why not do this in person. So we fly to Minnesota and camped out at my brother's bar (Black Hart of St Paul) and recorded, what I think was a really fun time. Audience?
So Good. So Smart. So Nice. Tristram Shapeero is the most tenured director with over 25+ episodes of Community under his belt including iconic episodes such as Contemporary American Poultry, Paradigms of Human Memory, and Regional Holiday Music. We're all over the place including a wonderful history lesson of British television. Enjoy!
This week I had the awesome chance to talk with Writer, Director, Producer Steve Basilone (Community 3&4). He has a new film called "Long Weekend" coming out and we discussed Regional Holiday Music and more.
The fabulous Danielle Kaplowitz aka Vicki stopped by to talk with Jillian Clayton-Smallwood (Welcome to Greendale) and me. This funny conversation reflects on her oft-misunderstood character from the show and we talk Broadway for a little bit too. As always, thanks to Robbie Sherman for audio wizardry and mastering.
One of the most hotly debated subjects in the Community universe. Season 4....Love it and Watch it or Hate it and Skip it? I'm joined by Catrina, Jake, and Matt, all lovely Community fans. Sit back and enjoy the debate as we talk about the good and the bad.
This week it was my pleasure to have Michael Smallwood of Welcome to Greendale fame join me for a conversation with Director Dan Eckman. It's a funny, interesting behind the lens look at directing a Community episode. Enjoy!
