In this episode, Dave breaks down his personal strategy and process for launching new products on Amazon, detailing a four-stage approach that spans from the first few weeks after launch to ongoing strategies for maintaining sales and optimizing listings. We talk about why its important to have a pricing strategy and an ACOS goal, to have only exact match turned on, and to have reviews as soon as possible. Struggling with tariffs? Unsure about upcoming changes? Let's talk! With Portless, you only pay tariffs after your customers pay you – so your cash always moves faster than your costs. Schedule a risk assessment and leverage tariff deferment today. All new customers get $1,000 to reinvest in their business. Launching a product isn't as crazy as it used to be. Back in the 2010s, you could put up anything on Amazon and it would do huge numbers. But today, its a different story. You have to have enough reviews for your product and a low price to stand out from the competition at the minimum. How do you get this all done? More importantly, what else can I do to guarantee success? Here's the ultimate 3 month launch plan that we incorporate in our businesses for each new product we launch. Takeaways In the first few weeks of launch, price your product 40% lower to attract buyers. Focus on exact targeting for PPC in early stages. Send your products into Amazon Vine to get reviews early. Gradually increase prices; Amazon hates when you increase prices abruptly. Utilize promotions based on how competitive your product category is. Auto campaigns help identify effective keywords that you can eventually add to your manual keywords. Aim for 30+ reviews for basic social proof. Incorporate top keywords into product imagery. If you get a lot of bad reviews, consider relaunching your product. Continuously improve your product based on customer feedback. Penny states, "I want to know if they actually did it right… I take that tiny URL and when you click it, I see what you're doing on my website." By focusing on the actions that customers take rather than merely their replies, dealerships can refine their strategies to maximize conversions. This shift in perspective allows dealers to offer solutions tailored to the unique needs of each customer, driving both engagement and sales. Overall, the emphasis on creating value before clicking send and adopting a detailed approach to text communication highlights a pivotal change. Texts should be more than mere messages—they should be dynamic touchpoints that bring meaningful value to the customer. With this strategy, dealerships can foster stronger relationships and enhance customer loyalty. Intelligent Lead Routing: The Path to Empowerment The whirlwind of leads that dealerships manage can often become chaotic without a structured strategy. Penny's approach to intelligent lead routing serves as a beacon of efficiency. By recognizing and capitalizing on the unique strengths of each team member, dealerships can align customer needs with the right expertise. "A lot of dealers want to try to have the government cheese mentality… here's a lead for you, here's a lead for you," remarks Sean V. Bradley. By implementing a system of intelligent lead routing, dealers can customize the lead allocation process. This ensures that opportunities are distributed based on proven strengths, allowing the most capable agents to handle specific customer inquiries. This targeted approach eliminates the pressure of trying to fit a square peg in a round hole and instead nurtures precision and efficacy. The use of intelligent lead routing establishes a comprehensive understanding that each lead requires a distinct approach, aligning resources to meet customer expectations effectively. Beyond improving operational efficiency, this strategy nurtures personal growth within the sales team, transforming the mindset from mere opportunity handling to strategic problem-solving. With detailed insights into their performance, agents can continuously refine their skills, enhancing overall dealership performance. Capitalizing on Technology for Success The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and analytics is an evolving force with the potential to redefine success in automotive marketing. As Penny illustrates, leveraging AI tools like Google Gemini can uncover valuable insights, generating innovative approaches to customer communication. Through AI-generated strategies and templates, dealerships can streamline the creation and deployment of marketing campaigns, amplifying their effectiveness. The power of AI lies in its ability to deliver personalized and insightful information rapidly. "You know, you have to take the high road," Penny notes, stressing the importance of communicating with confidence and competence. By automating repetitive tasks and uncovering hidden patterns, AI enables dealerships to focus their energy on nurturing meaningful connections with potential buyers. The use of analytics tools, such as Google Tag Manager, complements AI, allowing dealerships to measure the success of their campaigns with precision. By integrating tagging and analytics, dealerships can gain visibility into the customer journey, monitor their interactions, and make data-driven decisions that optimize future efforts. This fusion of technology empowers dealers with the knowledge to not only meet but exceed customer expectations, ensuring continued success. Reflecting on Innovative Dealership Practices The insights shared by Penny Vettel-Diersing and Sean V. Bradley emphasize the transformative power of innovative strategies in the automotive industry. By redefining communication strategies, dealerships can engage potential buyers with purpose, creating value-driven interactions that foster engagement and loyalty. Emphasizing intelligent lead routing ensures that each prospect is matched with the right expertise, enhancing customer satisfaction and sales team efficiency. Leveraging AI and analytics technology transforms marketing efforts, delivering targeted insights and enabling data-driven decision-making. These strategies illustrate a holistic approach to dealership success. By integrating these techniques, dealerships can adapt to changing customer preferences, capitalize on technological advancements, and forge deeper connections with their customers. As the automotive landscape continues to evolve, dealerships equipped with these innovative practices will be poised to navigate the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. Nothing in Marketing and Sales happens in isolation. However, if I had to choose 8 tactics that I KNOW are going to drive a return for an MSP, these would be them. That is why the VAST majority of efforts on the agency side is attempting to build the best version of each of these that we can. I rate each one based on these 3 criteria:1. Effort2. Episode: Balancing AI and Human Connection in B2B MarketingIn this episode of the B2B Marketing Excellence Podcast, I'm diving into a topic that's close to my heart — how we can embrace AI while still preserving the human touch that builds strong, lasting business relationships. At World Innovators, our family-run agency has spent the last 44 years helping B2B companies reach the right audience through strategic marketing rooted in trust, personalization, and genuine care. Today, AI is offering incredible tools to support those efforts — but it's how we use them that matters most.In this episode, I share real stories (including a powerful post-conference message I received) and practical ways to use AI as a supportive partner — not a substitute. Whether it's using AI for note-taking, preparing for outreach, or personalizing communication, I walk through how to make these tools work for your brand while keeping your values front and center.Let's talk about how to build deeper, more meaningful connections — with a little help from technology, and a lot of heart.⏱️ Episode Breakdown:• 00:00 – Introduction: Balancing AI and Human Connection• 00:13 – The Legacy of Building Relationships• 00:53 – Leveraging AI Without Losing the Human Touch• 02:05 – Real-Life Experiences and Insights• 02:57 – The Role of AI in Enhancing Relationships• 05:47 – Practical Applications of AI in Business• 08:40 – The Human Element in AI-Assisted Communication• 12:31 – AI as a Support System, Not a Substitute• 16:25 – Conclusion: Embracing AI for Deeper ConnectionsAt World Innovators, we believe B2B marketing should be about building relationships, not just generating clicks. This episode features an interview with Luke Arno, CRO at Transcend, a privacy platform that empowers brands to enhance regulatory stances and improve customer relationships through data transparency, consent, and control.Luke dives into the different marketing strategies needed when you are prioritizing data privacy and aiming to only engage with prospects who opt in. He also discusses making the sales function an advisor and consultant to potential customers. Key Takeaways:One size fits all messaging is not successful and does more damage than good. It needs to go. Marketing while prioritizing data privacy is a different ball game and requires a series of calculated investments based on the target market. Empowering your sales leaders as thought leaders, and asking them to act as advisors, makes them very valuable at events. Quote: “ How do we most effectively deliver thought leadership or ask the right questions from our customers about the problems they're solving? And we invest deeply in enabling our sales force to be subject matter experts, and then therefore we rely on them to help scale, to meet our customers and open up the conversation in a trusted environment. Hence the name of the segment, the trust tree. But that whole process requires sales rep to put their sales position down and, effectively, ship the paradigm for how they think about engaging customers as more of a consultant or an advisor. So, we try and delight our customers with a sales free experience, but we do rely deeply on the employees we hire at every function to effectively manage the conversation as a trusted advisor.”Episode Timestamps: *(07:47) The Trust Tree: Thoughts on marketing strategy from a CRO *(21:52) The Playbook: The psychology of prospecting*(37:03) The Dust Up: Show up prepared to articulate your position*(40:45) Quick Hits: Luke's quick hitsSponsor:Pipeline Visionaries is brought to you by Qualified.com. This episode features an interview with Niloy Sanyal, CMO at LeanTaaS, a growth-stage company that creates software solutions combining lean principles, predictive and prescriptive analytics, and machine learning to transform hospital and infusion center operations. In this conversation, Niloy and Ian debate the merits of last touch versus multitouch attribution models. They also dive into the potential of AI SDRs and the benefits of ungating the content on your website. Key Takeaways:While reporting last touch attribution may help CMOs establish credibility, there are benefits to thinking in terms of multitouch and how to best determine the next best touch. B2B still has a way to go to fully leverage the capacity of our current LLMs, not to mention the new versions coming out. There is immense opportunity in AI SDRs and BDRs. If you may the CEO fill out a form on your website, you've lost them. Ungating content allows high level prospects to consume the information they need. Quote: I am absolutely bullish on the impact of generative AI in the tactic of, to start with BDR and AE sales motions as part of our broader ABM execution. But very soon our comms execution, and every part of the marketing execution. But right now, early days, so I don't want to oversell it. But, the promise of what this can do without any improvement on the LLM. Like we were having this debate last night with another thought leader and I don't need chat GPT 5 to come out. I think 4. 0 or 4 is good enough and it's actually great. We just haven't caught up in a B2B environment to take advantage of it. And what I'm seeing from our early experiments, we've been at it now for three, four months, is absolutely astounding in what it can do. It's not going to replace BDRs. Let's be clear, you're in the Bay Area. If you drive from, you know, Peninsula to the city, I almost feel half the billboards these days are on like AI-automated SDR, BDR type of a thing. Not in my space. It's not going to automate that any, replace rather, but it can supercharge. Those individuals and it can supercharge. So I'm very excited about where we are.
