Duke, Harry and Joe are back together to give breakdowns and predictions for the West divisions in both conferences.
The NBA saw a lot of game changing moves between free agency and trades, so the guys debate the biggest impact moves and if the Knicks are really an elite team in the East. Then they go over the NFC South and pick the winners of what is probably going to once again be the worst division in football
We start the show with a mock draft showing what can be expected by three different drafting strategies; zero RB, hero RB and best available. We then go over our favorite prop bets for the upcoming NFL season, before reviewing the first two games of the NBA Finals
Duke and Harry start the episode with their final rookie dynasty rankings, rating their top 7 rookies at the QB and TE positions before looking at the explosion in WR contracts and if it's smart to hand out such large contracts. They turn their eyes to the NBA Finals next, and debate whether or not Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving can continue their historic playoff run. Finally, they finish out the episode with a conversation about Caitlyn Clark and the treatment she's received thus far in the WNBA.
Donny of the Tank Talk Podcast joins us to give his list of top dynasty RBs from this past NFL draft, and the list gets ugly. Before we get into that though, we get into the continuing NBA playoffs, now that the conference finals are set. We finish the episode talking comparing the Packers and Bills schedules, as Harry has bet both Duke and Donny that the Packers will have a better year than the Bills
It's just Joe and Duke today, and they start by discussing something outside the realm of sports. The Kendrick Lamar and Drake beef has taken over the world and we're no differ. Then they get into the initial games of the second round of the NBA playoffs. Finally they do a way too early mock draft for fantasy football, to see where guys are falling in rankings this year, and how they'll change as the offseason moves forward.
The TrapNerd Sports draft live stream was a huge success, which led to passions getting riled and logic being lost, so Harry and Duke finish their Xavier Worthy discussion sober. Then the guys get into the Buffalo Bills and Green Bay Packers drafts, and pick some of their favorite and least favorite picks of the draft. The episode is finished off with some talk of the NBA playoffs
UConn finished their dominant run with yet another double digit victory of player of the year Zach Edey and the 1 seed boilermakers. The guys recap the tournament and what this means for college basketball moving forward. The coaching carousel is finally over, with Belichick and Mike Vrabel still lacking jobs. Mike Macdonald and Dan Quinn do, however, so we get into what that means for the Seahawks and Commanders, respectively. Finally, we get into the reason we're all here. The Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers are facing off in Super Bowl 58 in a rematch 4 years in the making.
It was a crazy championship weekend, with the 49ers and Chiefs coming out on top for the two bids to the Super Bowl. The guys discuss the game before getting into Lamar Jackson vs Josh Allen, how they feel about new coaching hires, Bill Belicheck still being on the market and some extras.
It was another heart breaking weekend for Bills fans. We get into that and the rest of the divisional round. Plus we talk fandom and reasons people should like teams.
The Bills defeated the Steelers to advance to the divisional round, and the Cowboys and Dolphins showed us that they are who we always thought they were. We discuss that, as well as the rest of the games, and laugh at everyone who thought Josh Allen wasn't the second best QB in the NFL. Then we look forward to next week, and give out our regular season awards.
The Bills won another game, albeit an ugly one. Despite turning the ball over three times, they beat the depleted Chargers 24-22 and are now a playoff team. We go over that game before moving on to the other important match ups of the week, including a Dolphins win that keeps the Bills out of the division lead. Josh and Harry both lost in the TrapNerd Sports Fantasy League, leaving Donny and Jake (Quaker) to battle it out for the championship. Finally we do our pick ‘em for the upcoming week
After a season of what many would call mediocre football, the NFL is starting to heat up with tight races in both the AFC and NFC for the last playoff spots. Finally, we preview a huge game between the Bills and Chiefs along with the rest of the week 14 slate.
The Bills did it again, they broke our hearts. After a dominating win that brought hope back to the season, the Bills lost a hard fought match up to the Eagles where they shot themselves in the foot more than once. At least Harry's Packers won so one of us is happy. The guys break those games down before talking more NFL. Then it's time for a TrapNerd Sports Fantasy League update with a wild week of defensive production. Next, the guys predict next weeks slate of football before doing some NBA talk.
Life got in the way of us recording the last two weeks but the boys are back in town and the Bills remembered who the fuck they were. With their backs against the wall, the Buffalo Bills fired Ken Dorsey and elevated Joe Brady to his place, then won a huge game against the Jets to save their season. We get into that and if it's something the team can continue to make a playoff push. Then we get into some of the other games from this past week, before going over the TrapNerd Sports Fantasy League, and finish football off with our picks for the upcoming week. Finally, we go over our fantasy starts and sits for the upcoming week, and pick our winners for next week.
The Bills rolled out another dominating win over a lesser opponent, but were overshadowed by a near record-breaking performance by the division rival Dolphins.
