After living a sheltered and fearful childhood, John Haigh entered the workforce, but there was an issue. He hated working, but loved the idea of being super wealthy. After serving multiple prison sentences for fraud, John graduated to murder, plotting to take the lives of wealthy people who he would charm and build relationships with in order to gain access to their wealth. After killing his victims, he dissolved their remains in barrels of acid, believing the term “corpus delicti” to mean “no body, no crime.” However, it wouldn't be long before John's plans would be found out and he would go down in history as one of England's coldest, most calculated killers.
