Uncommon Sense on Relationships
A 2-Minute-Takeaway about judgement
This segment is from The Discover A Better You TV Show, episode 2. Christina and Mary discuss how society, conditioning, and mindset play into how we view our intimate relationships. This episode outlines the many factors that play into our level of commitment and the amount of overall effort we pour into co-creating a union with our partner. During this discussion, the ways in which our perception of the 'perfect relationship' varies from couple to couple is highlighted. The audience is left with a few questions that will help them reflect upon their own interpersonal relationships.
This segment was a two-minute-take-away I delivered during my church's service. I compared our grip on money and physical possessions to a baby's grip on something they get ahold of. Even as week as a baby is, thy can hold on extremely tight when they are afraid of something being taken away from them! God asks us to give Him back what He has blessed us with so He can bless others. This requires faith! Once I loosened my grip and exercised my faith, God began to open up one door after another!
In this episode, I interview Mary Reynolds-Clark on the value of strengthening relationships. We discuss both relationship challenges and success stories, as well as tangible steps to incorporate TODAY that can positively impact our interactions.
A two-minute-takeaway: The ‘but' you choose will determine the quality of your life.
This two-minute-take-away, is based off of a profound quote by Lisa Nichols, in a recent Summit that I attended: “Conviction and convenience don't live on the same block.” it addresses the fact that, even though we may have a monumental calling on our life, we still have work to do in order to embrace it, own it, and live it out fully. Otherwise we may miss out entirely of the life that is rightfully ours!
Today's episode is a Two-minute Takeaway that tells us why it's important to STOP manifesting until we are: 1.) Grateful 2.) Willing and 3.) Ready Otherwise, the answer will always be, “NO!”

Nicole shares how to navigate life with self awareness, owning our identity (even in times of chaos), and maintaining individuality. She dives into how to detach from the label or ideals that we often place on ourselves as a defining factor of who we are. There are many contributors to our story that are a piece of our life’s puzzle. But those portions of our story do not depict our true being. When we give ourselves and others permission to be authentic without judgment, it frees up unlimited potential in our relationships. That includes our relationship with self! --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
