In this episode, our guest is Chris Marhefka. He's got this thing called training camp for the soul. He learned how to go into so many different spiritual aspects of his breathing, called breathwork and somatics work.    [5:27] Why should we listen to you?  I speak authentically. I've been through the wringer myself. I've been through breaking everything from my physical, mental, emotional, spiritual body and everything in between. I've pushed myself to the edges and honestly found myself at 30 years old checking every box of what I said I would do in my life.   [7:16] There's more than what this person is doing Every time I would have a goal, I would just put my head down, and it was all about suffering and hard work. And it taught me the gift of discipline. But that man that was putting his head down towards that goal wasn't seeing anything outside of it. The downside to it was that every goal would just be followed by another one—bigger or more.    [8:29] I'm grateful for that time of fitness. I was a competitive athlete, but I pushed the limits, and it really taught me about commitment to practice and commitment to a daily routine.   [10:06] What was the catalyst moment? It was a moment that lasted about six months. The moment was I was competing at a high level in CrossFit, and I had a traumatic brain injury where the capillaries in my brain literally exploded. I felt like a grenade went off in my head, it was painful, and it stopped me in my tracks. There were many signs that my body was giving me up until that point to slow down and pay attention. I put on somewhere around 40 pounds during that time of just being really depressed. I couldn't work in my business anymore. I just wasn't the same person. [11:28] I was driving home from a trip with my then I had this moment where I was just I don't want to actually go home. I was resenting everything that I had built there. And it was this one, whereas like, what is wrong with me? And then that for me is what I call my emotional rock bottom. I pulled off on the side of the road, and it was just crying and bawling my eyes out. [12:45] Why won't men let themselves feel I think it's that we don't have a model for it. I talk to and work with many men who don't have a model of those things that I shared of opening up, being vulnerable, expressing what's really there. Most men have a model of putting up walls, putting up defenses to look a certain way, act a certain way, and clueless in asking for support.   [14:29] What guided you through that really funky place to get you here During that time, I started diving into meditation and breathwork, and it was fundamental at the time, but it was the first time that I was allowing myself to get out of my mind and into my body. That was my introduction from there. I came across the program which I run now called training camp for the soul. And that was my rocket ship catalyst for growth because it took my entire lifetime of learning of thinking that everything was directed from the mind, and it flipped it on its head.   [16:33] The realm of what you do now Most people that find their way to our program are in some form of a similar state that I was of. They've tried a lot of things in their mind. Like they've done personal development.   [18:23] We're teaching people how to identify the things they don't want in their life and then let them melt away. When you learn how to create space in that space, the right things come through for you. It's like this opportunity shows up, and it was probably there the whole time, but you couldn't see it because there wasn't space. And so we teach people how to shed those layers.   Key Quotes [19:09-19:16] “I find that there's a correlation between how much pain someone is currently in and their level of resistance.” [20:15-20:19] “We ended up finding ways to protect our egos and standing spots. And so we endure pain.”

Why do men avoid relationships in favor of video games? Our guest, Chris Marhefka, shares some insights into the masculine brain and how women can motivate and inspire their male partners to engage in their relationships instead of disappearing to play video games or other “zoned out” activities. Taking a deep look at ourselves when we're already in pain in our relationships is hard, courageous, and it can be just what we need to flip the switch in our relationships. "Playing to Win" means giving our partner a chance to be victorious, to feel valued, appreciated, and acknowledged. When you "play to win" you clearly communicate what you want from him and where he is doing a good job.

Part 2 of the interview with Chris Marhefka, we talk more about his current role at CEO of Training Camp for the Soul. This program was that thing that changed Chris' life in 2019, he was a client initially and is now CEO with the founder of the business. This program is to teach how to create real transformation in your life.It teaches the client how to see their lives like a movie, you may be the main character, but this course teaches you to maybe be the writer or producer of the movie. This is a powerful activity to view your life in a different way. Whether it is relationships, purpose, work, health, self-confidence, or self-judgement Chris can rewrite the programming in our life. We inherit a lot of this from our parents, or culture or government, or religion but the belief that this isn't fixed.  Chris talks about the role of the inner child in your life. Your understanding of life is very personal and based on your inner child. We then talk about the role of masculinity as a positive - protector or negatively – destroyer. One practical exercise to do now is to slow your breath down, not full mediation but slowing the breath down. This can regulate your nervous system, and it can tell your body that it is safe. It can give you space to reset the switch to rest rather than stress. This is a fascinating conversation about transforming your life. Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/Absolutebusinessmindset)

A feature length episode with Chris Marhefka, who is CEO at Training Camp for the Soul. This is a two-part episode, first episode about Chris' education and business career and the second one is more about his current role. Chris started a degree in finance and business, which was a default major, not knowing his true path. At graduation he was planning a corporate career but in 2008 the job was removed, and he had no career. He then joined a local wealth management business but didn't enjoy the suit environment, so he left without a plan. He knew he wanted to start a business, so he started a gym, Chris enjoyed helping people, leading groups, personal training and grew this into a business. He built it as a tribe by organically growing and making connections with his fit family. Chris then started a meal preparation business which rocketed. He created the business with a proof of concept, then a website and had paid customers in 7 days. He then started business coaching, but his story changed when he was married. For 2 years Chris felt he was missing something from his life and had no fulfilment in his business. He attended the Training Camp for the Soul course and was taught to gain control of his life. Chris and his wife went around the USA in a RV. Through the journey he felt his relationship with his wife was going in a different direction. Both parties didn't want to be in a relationship and not be their true self. This was massive forgiveness time for both of them. Chris felt he needed lightness, a slower pace in life, and play in his life. His life needed to base on passion not obligation.  Chris and his wife broke up and started different projects. This podcast was massively powerful for me, it made me think about my life, purpose, and fulfilment. This can bring change in your life too.  Chris is now creating his own light in his life!Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/Absolutebusinessmindset)

“If we all start following our own individual hearts, we can't lose.” -Chris Marhefka   A job has just opened! If you're feeling unfulfilled and unhappy or maybe you feel that there is more beyond you, this job is totally for you! This job is called: becoming the best version of you.    Many people look successful on the outside but lack that inner peace and satisfaction. But this does not have to be true about you! This week, we're going on a training camp with Training Camp for the Soul CEO, Chris Marhefka. Chris had been an achiever, always following the plans and completing the plans. Regardless, he still felt something big was missing in his life. Fortunately, Chris has learned to break away from ingrained beliefs and rewrite his story. In this episode, Ted and Chris talk about the very fragment needed to help you have more control over your life, walk your own path, and set a model for others. They also discuss how to get the most out of all the information we are bombarded with every day, and how making yourself 1% more uncomfortable can benefit you in the long run. This world has conditioned us to move at a fast pace, which is contrary to how we are designed. We are meant to enjoy life and cherish every moment. Slow down and you'll find that life was only waiting for you to give attention to it.   Connect with Ted:  Website Facebook  Twitter Instagram     LinkedIn YouTube Highlights:  02:57 Breaking Apart and Building Up 09:20 The First Stage of Change 13:20 Choose Your Own Path 18:48 Slow Down on Information Consumption 25:44 Choose What to Listen To 31:36 Slow Down Your Life 37:27 Recap

Listen in on how he rejected conventional notions of success to develop a more authentic relationship with himself and others around him. LinksEmail: cmarhefka@gmail.com Websites: http://chrismarhefka.comhttps://www.trainingcampforthesoul.com/?r_done=1Instagram: Instagram.com/ChrisMarhefkaQuotes“It takes a village to raise a child.”“Just because I have one way doesn't mean it is the way.”“Life isn't always positive... things happen.”TakeawaysChildhood IncidentsChris was around five years old when his father arrived five minutes late to pick him up from soccer practice. He inferred that he is alone in what he does and he can't trust others completely, which showed up in his personal and professional relationships later in life.Chris was in his early teens when he was cut from his first soccer team. He realized that he had let his father down. From that moment on, Chris committed to never failing at anything because of a lack of effort. Influential Groups Chris was raised in a conservative Catholic household with a strong commitment to values and community. He credits sports with teaching him about leadership, connection and communication. Being in the student government at university helped him begin trusting people and develop integrity.Temperament and Personality InfluencesChris claims to always have had a “chameleon-like personality,” adaptable to any group and liked by all. However, he has worked to find his true identity, express his authentic self, and allow people into his inner world with trust and vulnerability. Cultural EpiphaniesChris shares that as a leader, he believed he always had the right answer and told others what to do. By asking for opinions, he opened up to other options that exist, giving him a broader perspective. Advice to an Employer Chris finds that being mindful and authentic brings out his best self in any project, and he uses breathing to achieve that state of flow. More Great Insights! Chris leads retreats six times a year and conducts various programs. Sam had been tormented by disturbing images inadvertently flashing across the screen of his mind for many years. Daily, he felt forced by his subconscious to watch himself being violently punished by some unrecognizable person. Sam told me that, as a child, he was regularly beaten and slapped around by his father. At first glance, it may seem pretty obvious that the violent images that tortured Sam as an adult were nothing but vivid memories of his traumatic punishments. Yet every form of therapy he'd sought to relieve the effects of these traumas had failed, and a part of Sam continued to project these images onto the screen of his mind. So how did Sam's need for survival lead to these visions? It wasn't until he found Training Camp for  the Soul and did the program for himself that he was able to truly transform his life by going deeper.   The healing work Chris focuses on is a combination of breath, somatics, energy work, story work, inner-child work,  mindset, and other modalities to get deeper into the subconscious and heal at the root.  ___________ Check Out More Of Chris: https://chrismarhefka.com/ https://www.trainingcampforthesoul.com/ https://www.instagram.com/chrismarhefka/ ___________   WATCH This Podcast On Youtube Here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCerchi4_C77ZJAJqCiXYlKA And make sure to subscribe ;) ____________ Apply For A Free Strategy Call With Coach Jumha Here: https://www.stoopid.fit/strategycall Get 15% Off Strong Coffee Company With Code "STOOPIDFIT" Here: https://strongcoffeecompany.com/?ref=-AdnXfp82ojl ___________ Get Your Free Copy Of "THE NUTRITION MANUAL" Your thought Free Approach To Designing Your Perfect Diet Here: https://www.thenutritionmanual.com ___________ Follow Coach Jumha On Instagram Here: https://www.instagram.com/stoopid.fit Follow Coach Jumha On TikTok Here: https://www.tiktok.com/@stoopidfit?lang=en ___________

As Chris shares with us, most of us are stuck in this way of living in, and moving from, the mind. Chris Marhefka understands cultivating warrior energy and how real it is even if we can't see it or understand it. This week Chris kicks off our new year with a wake-up call to the fog of fear, the trap of comfort, and the lack of progress and fulfillment when not living on purpose.   From his work at Training Camp for the Soul, Chris shares practices and perspective to check in on your alignment in life, build new habits, tap into powerful inner energy, reach and maintain your full potential, and to cultivate intuition as a path to uncover and stay on purpose.   Have you ever watched the New Zealand All Blacks rugby team perform the Maori ceremonial war dance before a match? It's something powerful and really special. The energy of it gives me goosebumps every time. Here's a link...   The Greatest Haka Ever?   What if you could tap into that level of energy on demand...individually and even multiply it as a team? And what if you directed it toward your passions and unique purpose?   "There is a lot that we don’t understand as humans. One of the most powerful decisions that I made for myself was giving myself permission to not know everything."    -Chris Marhefka

Talk about timing: Here's a perfect episode for a new year and desire for new beginnings. Chris Marhefka helps point the way. He and his wife Carlee fit an entrepreneurial life into an RV that visits all corners of the U.S. This came from a conviction that you can indeed have it all: Success and enjoyment. And that came from exposure to a Dude-like figure (as in ”The Big Lebowski”) whose relaxed energy opened a new vision: Life can flow with ease and grace, and perception makes all the difference. That helped Chris meet goals such as owning multiple businesses that he can just let run and grow by means of processes and trust in his teams. You know it's an uplifting episode when it leads toward the message ”People are amazing.”   For more w/ The Spaniard: Subscribe to The Spaniard Show's email list: https://charliespaniard.com/email Support The Spaniard Show - https://patreon.com/charliespaniard Website/Bookings/Reading List: https://charliespaniard.com Book: https://amzn.to/2QPcf1P Facebook: https://facebook.com/charliespaniard Twitter: https://twitter.com/charliespaniard Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/charliespaniard Youtube: https://youtube.com/user/charliespaniard Subscribe to The Spaniard Show: iTunes - https://apple.co/2kxob7j Google Play - https://play.google.com/music/listen?u=0#/ps/Irpy2px7edqbwiwpil2ab2jq4me Stitcher - https://bit.ly/2qUBRPb

Chris Marhefka is the owner of B3 Gym in Gainesville Florida, the co-founder of Eat the 80, and co-host of the Z Living show, Altar’d. This guy has hustle. Serious hustle. Balancing two companies while shooting a TV show is a busy life. Today’s episode is all about using the momentum of your previous experience to capitalize on the opportunities right in front of you. But it takes preparation. My big takeaways from this episode: -If you’re not prepared at the time that opportunity presents itself, it will pass you by. -You must stay in the present moment. Not where you want to be someday or dwelling on past mistakes, but right now. -You must be genuine. You can’t fake authenticity. -Care for and develop yourself.
