And that's still not enough: The always cheerful dude from the north-eastern German state of Mecklenburg is also involved in the projects Rundfunk3000 and Eulenhaupt & Mollenhauer.Behind the turntables as well as live, Mollono.Bass presents minimal Techhouse beats which directly aim the dance floor and therefore always contain a proper portion of bounce. The efficiency of his grooves has been proved by various successful productions and remixes on Acker and Ostwind Records.Also, Molle's talent has already been smelled beyond the herring pond, a collaboration with Los Angeles resident Absurd Records will present a series of his tracks. Like already known from his productions for Kombinat100, Mollono.Bass embeds warm, groovy and driving drum sets into a dubby, harmonic and emotional soundscape. Dank herrlich quietschigen Acid-Schleifen und auf Hochtouren laufender Rhythmus-Maschinerie fühlt sich PoP deutlich schneller und intensiver an, als es der BPM-Wert des Titels erahnen ließe. Mila Stern schiebt für ihre Interpretation des Tracks den Schubregler ein bisschen weiter nach oben und zaubert ein lückenlos ineinandergreifendes System der groovebasierten Ekstase. Das aus dunklen Tiefen herauf brodelnde, sich zu immer neuen Filter-Modulationen aufbäumende Weiter kommt in nächtlich-vertripptem Zuschnitt daher. How did these tracks shape your doings? Did you find the bass both the same way? A: We picked tracks that influenced us personally as well as DJs in our early years. Dole (Tilo) comes from a more Punk Rock background and Kom (Jens) digged more Disco. Dole started DJing Breakbeat and UK Hardcore, Kom took the Chicago / Detroit route. Q: Would you still play some of them in your current DJ-sets? A: From time to time we edit different classics to spice up our sets. Lately Format – “Solid Sessions” or Paris Mitchell Project – “Ghetto Shouts”. And of course our all time favourite “Throw” by Paperclip People. Q: Which projects are coming this year? A: First we come up with a new EP on Criminal Bassline called “Beats To The West”. In Springtime 3000Grad will release our debut longplayer “Twenty Five” plus a downtempo 3-tracker on Acker Records.

Robin Schellenberg made his first steps into music when he was 16. He bought some turntables and a mixer, the program Reason and the first version of Ableton. 2004 Robin moved from Frankfurt am Main to Berlin and started to discover the electronic music scene more and more. In his early Berlin time, Robin was running a recording studio in Kreuzberg, played in some underground bands and started some of his first electronic projects called Wijnstijn, Peinlich Unter Freunden and Geffen3 just to name a few. After concentrating many years in creating cultural spaces he released a Remix under one of his old aliases „Bonze & Krösus“ on Acker Records in 2015. Schellenberg also played several gigs in clubs like About Blank, Sisyphos, Wilde Renate and festivals like Fusion at Bachstelzen stage in 2011. After some time off, Schellenberg came back to making music in 2017, when he became part of the Riverside Studios in Berlin along Tobi Neumann, Martin Eyerer, Gheist, Pan-Pot and some more. Now he is running a studio there with his friends Daniele Di Martino & Gottlieb Scheppert. In the beginning of 2018 Robin co-founded the record label „Kamai“ with his fellows Jacob Groening, Zigan Aldi, Bonfante & Robert Helms (Umami). His first track „Elnath“ will be released under his real name “Robin Schellenberg” and got already signed by Mono.Noise. A fulltime job? A: A fulltime job indeed! Since 2006 I'm living my life with my music only. A dream came true. But as you mentioned it's not only my own music, but many different projects: Two labels, a booking agency, a festival and various other events throughout the year. More than I could handle myself. So I'm very happy that 3000Grad is a team of around 7 people. They make sure everything goes down smoothly. And that there's always some quality jokes flying around in our office! Q: Also you´re part of a lot of events and festivals in northern Germany. 3000 Grad, Fusion, just to name a few. Please tell us more about your doings. A: Fusion Festival is like a parallel universe, and 3000Grad is really just one star in this “Kulturkosmos”, which means culture cosmos in German. Even after many many years of active involvement it's still very inspiring to work with so many creative minds and interesting people in this project, to make magic happen year after year again. Then there's our 3000Grad Festival, which is obviously our baby. Lots of love and dedication goes into this project. Our vision is to make the utopia of a better world come true, even if it's just for a weekend. Ideally the visitors take this experience with them and keep it alive as an inspiration for their everyday lives. In the end, a better world depends on us and our attitude. And then: winter’s coming, which is really not so nice here in Germany. So we try to make it a little nicer with our indoor events. The general idea of these parties is to bring a hint of summer festival vibes into the club context. That's why our “Wanderzirkus”, the travelling circus, is subtitled as “The Surreal Club Festival”. It's really like an indoor adult playground where we can live our passion for electronic dance music, but also for the beautifully bizarre, for theater and performance art. Q: Which further projects are on the way? A: At the moment I’m full enthusiasm for my music projects and my collaborations with other producers. If it was possible, I would move into my studio for some months. What's the result of all this? On 1st December we'll release the 3rd part of the Mollono.Bass & Friends series on 3000Grad Records, this time I worked with my long-year Kombinat100 companion Marc Vogler and with Timboletti. In 2018 we'll continue with a new Mollono.Bass Remix Collection, I can't believe it's number 4 in this series already.

It's no secret that we love vinyl here at Uncanny Valley. So we didn't have to think long when Alex Ketzer asked the label to take part in his Beyond Plastic project, a mixtape in book format about artists and vinyl labels that press music on “black gold”. And there will be a CD with music from these labels that will be included with the book. Alex spent more than one year on the road to visit his favourite labels and “vinyl instititutions” in their everyday surroundings. Besides Uncanny valley the book includes interviews and articles of 60Hertz, Smallville, Liebe*Detail, Pingipung, Acker Records, Decks.de, De:Bug, Giegling, Brothers in Love, Dubplates & Mastering, Aim Vinyl, Fauxpas Musik, Oye Records, Ortloff, Kann, Rand Muzik, Freude am Tanzen and Workshop. Ostfunk Records presents Wolfgang Lohr (Ostfunk // Ton liebt Klang // Berlin)   Und hepp! Der geborene Lübecker ist ein echter Herzmusiker und wirkte über 15 Jahre als Trompeter, Sänger und Songwriter bei der Skaband „DaSKArtell" mit. Er gab Konzerte, spielte auf Festivals und machte sich außerdem im Studio einen Namen. Seine Liebe zur elektronischen Musik entdeckte er erst spät - dafür aber intensiv. Durch die Clubs gewühlt und mit seinen Erfahrungen angefrischt, fing der Wahl-Berliner vor zweieinhalb Jahren an, im Genre Tech House zu experimentieren. Und ist der Mann erst einmal begeistert, kennt er keinen Halt mehr. Also schloss sich der Autodidakt in seinen vier Wänden ein, bis er sein Handwerk ausgefeilt hatte. Und siehe da: Mittlerweile hat Lohr 13 eigene EPs und zich Remixe für Labels wie „Ton liebt Klang“, „Ostfunk“, „Acker Records“, „Zuckerton“ und „Symbiostic“ veröffentlicht. Der Mann, der ein Fan von humorvollen Wortspielen ist, feierte bereits erste Chartplatzierungen und arbeitet derzeit an seinem ersten eigenen Album. Ob „Affenstillstand Evolution“, „Hirnholzraspel“ oder „Duft & Triebe“ – Lohr steht für vielfältige Musik, die detailreich arrangiert ist und sich in den Genres Tech House, Deep House, House, Minimal und Electro Swing zu Hause fühlt. Der Allrounder feilt unermüdlich an seinem ganz persönlichen Stil. Seine Lohrwürmer sind vor allem treibend und bassline-orientiert. „Meine Musik soll das Tanzbein euphorisieren, im Club drücken, zu Hause Appetit anregen und vor allem Spaß bringen“, sagt der Newcomer. Aber Produzieren allein reicht dem Lohr natürlich nicht: Seit 2012 performt er auch als Liveact und mischt die Clubszene persönlich auf. Die Musik wird erst während des Sets arrangiert, damit geht Lohr direkt auf das Publikum ein, so ist jedes Stück ein Unikat. Langer Rede kurzer Gin: Lohr ist ein Erlebnis, ein frischer Hanseat mit janz dufter Spreemusik.
