The trailblazing black actor and comedian will be sentenced later this year and could be restricted to greater confinement for the remainder of his life. Speaking of predators, Travis Reinking, a White man, murdered four non-white people at a Tennessee Waffle House. He was eventually arrested and charged with murder. Mr. Reinking had a history of terroristic behavior; in 2017, he illegally crossed a White House security barrier and was taken into custody. Unlike Miriam I. Carey, a black mother who was shot and killed near the White House in 2013, enforcement officials did not deem Reinking a lethal threat last year. In the state of Alabama, where J. Marion Sims still has a statue, Bryan Stevenson and fellow organizers constructed "the country's first site dedicated to the legacy of black people lynched in the United States."
