Horror has always found a home on television but it's hard to imagine anything capturing the attention of the pop culture zeitgeist like “Stranger Things” has done over the past few years. Developed by the Duffer brothers, the series based in the 1980's was equal parts nostalgia and great storytelling while making titles like Eleven and the Demogorgon household names across the globe. When “Stranger Things” season 3 ended, the evil Mindflayer had been stopped but Eleven lost her powers and the gateway to the Upside Down has seemingly ended Chief Jim Hopper's life. Season 4 picks up with Eleven and the Byers' family living in California, Mike and Dustin teaming up with a new friend named Eddie and a nightmarish presence suddenly lurking in Hawkins that is far scarier than any big bad before it.For the first time on Rewind of the Living Dead, we review a TV series as we crank up the Kate Bush and remember friends don't lie as we review “Stranger Things” Season 4, Volume 1…

We are releasing some of our classic older episodes for the next few weeks. This episode was originally released in September 2019. David Harbour is an American actor from New York who has performed in film, television, and the theatre. He is best known for his role as Chief Jim Hopper on the Netflix original series, Stranger Things and the lead in the new adaptation of HELLBOY He is also known for his role as CIA agent Gregg Beam in Quantum of Solace, Shep Campbell in Revolutionary Road alongside Leonardo DiCaprio, Van Hauser in End of Watch and Dexter Tolliver in Suicide Squad Trying to arrange interviews for the podcast is often challenging, all our guests have extremely busy schedules and finding a time and place to record can be tricky. We tried really hard to meet up with David while he was fleetingly in the UK at the tail end of 2018, but we just couldn't make it work. However, David is a wonderful man and promised to work out some time for us in January whatever his schedule. So, we finally sat down at Acast studios a few weeks back and recorded our first episode live from New York via Skype, which we've tried to keep as natural and authentic to our own experience in the room listening through the headphones. We discussed David's exploits living in Bristol, England when he was just 16, having been back there recently to shoot HELLBOY. We talk about working in theatre and the impact on David's life now being in a huge show like Stranger Things. David speaks openly about his mental health and the new book he is writing he hopes will open up more discussion around the subject. Actor David K Harbour On Marta On The Move Podcast Listen, sometimes there are snowflakes so special, that you have to grab them before they melt.  That is what this episode is, a  beautiful snowflake that I didn't want to melt.  A special release for my listeners who are just as obsessed as I am about the show "Stranger Things".  I was lucky enough to score an interview with actor David K Harbour, who plays Chief Jim Hopper on the show.  I cannot type how truly excited I am about this.  Maybe it is coming through on your screen, maybe not.  Regardless I am over here doing my happy dance. If you follow me on Facebook, or just about any social media sites, you have heard me rant and rave about "Stranger Things".  How it is taking people back to their childhoods who grew up in the 80's. How it is the perfect blend of Stephen King, and The Goonies.  How it is making us wish it will never end. I am not alone in thinking that this show was made for me. It makes me feel special, as though the actors, writers, and directors knew just what I needed to feel like a child again.  It gives me the tingles! Da Dennis B. mittlerweile auch über TV Serien reden kann, übernimmt heute überraschenderweise nicht das klassische, sondern das chaotische Duo das Programm der 139. Folge. Die beiden Dennisse stürzen sich dafür vollen Mutes im Bereich Film & TV ins düstere Paralleluniversum namens "The Upside Down" und machen dabei einen Sprung ins Jahr 1983. Denn neben Zukunfts-Dennis soll sich dort auch der junge Will Beyers befinden, der nach dem neuen Netflix Hit "Stranger Things" am 6. November 1983 nach einer langen Runde "Dungeons & Dragons" mit seinen Freunden Mike, Dustin und Lucas auf dem Nachhauseweg verschwunden ist und damit vor allem seine Mutter Joyce, seine drei Freunde, den örtlichen Chief Jim Hopper und auch die begeisterten Zuschauer vor der Mattscheibe auf einen sehr spannenden und gleichzeitig auch gruseligen Pfad führt, um ihn zu finden.
