We have a bit of everything on this week's I-5 Corridor Traffic Report. We begin with a deep conversation about how very uncool it is to get injured doing athletic activities as you age, we move into talk about why it seems everyone hates the Kansas City Chiefs so much, we veer right into an inquisitive discussion about which sports conspiracy theories might actually be true, then we try to figure out how Tyson and Justin both got sucked into watching two hours of simulation golf on television thanks to the TGL. For more, listen to this podcast in the player above or find us over on Apple or Spotify.Bonus: We're gearing up for our next Replayables podcast. This time, we'll be taking a little stroll back to 2006, a time when Dennis Dixon and the No. 18 Oregon Ducks upset Adrian Peterson and the No. 15 Oklahoma Sooners 34-33 at Autzen Stadium. Of course, there's a little more to it than that. Former Steeler Charlie Batch joined the show. Even while impressing, Charlie isn't ready to make Kenny Pickett the starting quarterback because of his lack of work with the starting receivers/tight end. Charlie said outside of injury, the only thing that would get Kenny into QB1 for week one is if Mitch Trubisky absolutely bombs in the game on Sunday. Charlie talked about how this change of scenery for Trubisky is worth seeing to the end. Charlie referenced the time in 2010 when Ben Roethlisberger was out for the first 4 games and there was a QB room featuring Charlie, Byron Leftwich and Dennis Dixon. The guys asked Charlie about the stars playing in the game on Sunday and how smart of a move it is. Charlie walked through the QB rotation for Sunday and said Mason Rudolph could see the entire second half to showcase his skills for a potential Steelers trade partner.

Dennis Dixon helped usher in a new era for the Oregon Ducks. The dual threat quarterback will always be revered for his style of play that showcased the high octane, fast-paced offense the Ducks ran once Chip Kelly showed up in 2007. And had it not been for a series of injuries that derailed that '07 team, Dixon might (definitely, for sure) have lead Oregon to their first National Title. See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

We're back!  Took a couple weeks off because of the holidays and we figured not that many people would listen, nor did our schedules line up.  But!  Comin' to you live from Hamsterdam we've got a lot of quack. First, we talk about the Oregon football game against the TCU Horned Frogs.  There's the obvious conversation about Trevone Boykin, whom I wrote an article about earlier this week.  Boykin is terrifying and is the player that we all thought Bralon Addison could be in a perfect world where he easily slid into the quarterback position when Vernon Adams went down and he received the golden arm of Johnny Unitas from the god Xerxes. The QB edge goes to TCU but if not for a Vernon Adams injury at the beginning of the year we are looking at a one loss Oregon squad (most likely).  TCU was ravaged by injuries on defense leading to a few very misleading scores and Trevone Boykin was absent a couple close wins.   The Alamo Bowl and Texas have a thing for tragic heroes.  People that could have accomplished greatness if not for a few things outside of their control.  Oregon does it too.  For years we were talking about who would be the next Dennis Dixon.  Both of these teams are tragically heroic teams.  If not for injuries both of these teams would (most likely) be in the playoffs.  This is one of the top five bowl games, and that's including the playoffs.
