From the writer of The Message, Life/After, and Steal the Stars. They call the crashed spaceship “The Ghosthouse” because it screams—the screams of thousands of extraterrestrial political prisoners trapped in its horrific mainframe. The only way to free them... is to transfer them into humans willing to share their minds with a second consciousness forever. Who would volunteer for that?

The Give Me Away podcast is a tremendous new work of cinematic Audio Fiction from Gideon Media. Written by Mac Rogers, who has proven his ability to explore complex science fiction concepts in previous works such as Steal the Stars and LifeAfter, this show once again showcases his talent for creating accessible and well-written characters. From the very beginning, listeners are fully invested in the story, thanks to the captivating pacing and immersive storytelling. The quality of this Audio Drama is outstanding and can easily be compared with the best podcasts being made today.

One of the best aspects of The Give Me Away podcast is its ability to delve into intricate relationships. The show drops listeners right into the action without much explanation, displaying Rogers' mastery over the medium. The dialogue is cleverly crafted, turning inner monologues into dialogues that engage audiences in uncomfortable yet thought-provoking conversations. It plays with the forced intimacy of podcasts while exploring various themes like human connections, government influence, military involvement, and environmental concerns. The narrative constantly evolves and introduces negotiations for new kinds of partnerships and pluralities, ensuring that every character holds equal importance in driving forward both dramatic tension and meaningful content. The show exemplifies Sci-Fi Audio Drama at its finest – solving problems through compelling storytelling.

While The Give Me Away podcast excels in many areas, some may find certain elements less appealing. For instance, there are moments where worn-out marriages and crass heteronormative dating scenes dominate the narrative before transitioning into more progressive relationship dynamics. However, these initial aspects serve a purpose in building tension and highlighting personal growth within characters. Additionally, discussions about bodily functions may come across as explicit or discomforting to some listeners but ultimately contribute to a deeper exploration of humanity's vulnerabilities.

In conclusion, The Give Me Away podcast is an exceptional piece of audio fiction that surpasses expectations. Its well-paced progression captivates audiences from start to finish, leaving them eagerly awaiting each new episode. The performances and production values are of the highest quality, adding to the show's immersive experience. Mac Rogers has a knack for creating stories that go beyond their surface concepts and delve into profound existential questions about morality, happiness, love, and self-discovery. This podcast is a must-listen for any sci-fi enthusiast or anyone looking for a compelling narrative with thought-provoking themes.

Season one of UNSEEN will feature ten different stories of identity, connection, and personhood (and, of course, magic) in the modern world. Some of them will be thrilling adventures. Others may be sad and melancholic. Some may be creepy and unsettling. Each of them will feature a single performer, guiding the audience through a new, original modern fantasy landscape. This week, we want to prepare you for a crossover event that we're VERY excited about! In case you don't know the show, we want to introduce you to "Forgive Me" - also here on the Fable and Folly Network. Here's a little synopsis of the show - Father Ben left his congregation in Binghamton, New York, in the cover of night for the smaller, quieter pastures of St. Patrick's. As our new, young, and at times progressive priest begins to acquiesce to his new surroundings, he finds himself butting heads with the eccentric parishioners who come to him seeking solace and advice. Whether he's trying to understand Old Margaret's “usual” confession; parsing out how Tom can better help care for his wife's pet pig, David; or getting to the bottom of the Christmas Eve Mass Incident, Forgive Me! explores the intertwined lives in Ben's new community and the funny, sad, and sometimes painful experiences that come out of confession and the Catholic experience. Forgive Me! began as a simple idea from series cocreator Jack Marone: to mine the sometimes funny, sometimes awkward, and often confusing anecdotes from his Catholic school upbringing and craft the kind of podcast that could make him laugh and that his still-practicing family members could be proud of. After pitching the idea to Windfall cocreator Bob Raymonda in 2015, the series sat on the back burner until 2018, when Rogue Dialogue's first show was in postproduction and the team was hungry for new ideas that featured fewer characters but just as much heart.
