Und der wiederum trägt ein Logo, das aus der Feder unseres heutigen Gastes stammt. Tobias van Schneider ist Designer und Unternehmer. Aufgewachsen in Deutschland und Österreich lebt er heute in Brooklyn, New York. Den Großteil seiner Zeit verbringt er mittlerweile damit, drei Digitalunternehmen zu führen und einen sehr lesenswerten Newsletter zu verfassen. Das Design und die Gestaltung von Logos und Brand Identities, längste Zeit seine beruflichen Schwerpunkte, sind mittlerweile eher zur Leidenschaft geworden. „Aber wenn die NASA sich meldet und um ein Logo bittet, dann sagt man nicht nein.“ Zum Glück!

Young Guru is the multi-hyphenate audio wizard who works closely to the GOAT emcee Jay-Z. For many years now Guru has been recording, mixing and mastering all of Hovs' verses. Abstract: Oligodendrocyte-lineage cells of patients and animal models undergo prominent changes in various neurodegenerative disorders. This raises the question of how myelinating cells interact with neurodegenerative processes. Here, we investigated the role of oligodendrocyte precursor cells (NG2 glia) in prion infections. We found that NG2 glia were activated in prion-infected cerebellar organotypic cultured slices (COCS) and in brains of prion-inoculated mice. In both model systems, depletion of NG2 glia exacerbated prion-induced neurodegeneration and accelerated prion pathology, suggesting a protective effect for NG2 glia. Loss of NG2 glia unleashed a microglial reaction promoting the biosynthesis of prostaglandin E2 (PGE2), which augmented prion toxicity in HovS cells and COCS through binding to the EP1 and EP4 receptors. Pharmacological or genetic inhibition of PGE2 biosynthesis attenuated prion-induced neurodegeneration in COCS and mice, antagonized the enhanced neurodegeneration in NG2 glia-depleted COCS and brains after prion infection, and dampened the acceleration of prion disease in NG2 glia-depleted mice. These data unveil a non-cell-autonomous interaction involving NG2 glia and microglia in prion disease and suggest that PGE2 signaling may represent an actionable target against prion diseases. Hovsångare, skådespelare, artist I ett tillbakablickande Sommarprogram berättade Loa Falkman bland mycket annat om sin tid på Operahögskolan. Han beskrev sig själv som i behov av mycket undervisning och sa att hans bror sagt att han lät som en startmotor om vintern. - Och när han ville vara riktigt elak, sa han att jag lät som en tenor, berättade Loa Falkman med glimten i ögat. Han lärde också lyssnarna hur man sjunger: - För att få en klang som bär över en orkester måste man kombinera avslappning i halsen, lös käke, lågt struphuvud (som när man gäspar) en generös luftström och ett flexibelt magstöd. Om ni lägger handen på magen, andas in och ropar ”Heja Sverige”, så förstår ni vad jag menar. Den här kombinationen av anspänning, avspänning och konstnärlig inlevelse tar lite tid att lära sig.
