But that's the least of your concerns now - considering the fact you'd planned this camping trip with one goal in mind: helping your fiancé. James Buchanan Barnes had always helped you through your issues, even as he'd been dealing with his own. So now, it's your turn to help him. As the rain continues to splash against the surface above you, accompanied by the occasional ripple of waves lapping against the shore, you sigh gently, shifting closer towards the man settling in beside you. He welcomes you with loving, open arms, pulling you close. “You haven't talked much about your sessions with Dr. Raynor lately,” You muse aloud, passing Bucky a compassionately concerned look up through your lashes. “What's there to say?” He shrugs, trying to pull you closer to his chest in a vain attempt to switch the subject of conversation, to which you refuse to budge. “No snuggles until you at least tell me something. I worry about you, Buck.” Your fiancé sighs heavily, practically rolling his eyes before he speaks once more, finally filling you in. “I crossed a name off the list of my amends yesterday.” You can't help but smile proudly, though you decide to continue the conversation. “Who was it this time?” “Senator Atwood.” Bucky mumbles, face falling a bit, lips drawing themselves into a thin line. “She was a HYDRA pawn for years…  I helped her get into office when I was the Winter Soldier.” Now its your turn to allow your grin to drop, a compassionate frown replacing it. “I didn't realize it was that direct…” You murmur, guilt dripping into your voice. “I'm sorry.” Bucky Barnes simply nods in reply, arms snaking around your waist and pulling you flush against his chest with ease - and this time, you don't refuse. Though, as you both lay there, tangled in one another's embraces, the rain lulling you both to sleep, before you succumb entirely, you flick on the small cassette player hooked up to the speaker you'd been using earlier. Swapping out the tape for something much more suitable, you press play, the tinny tune of the songs you and Bucky both love filling the quiet space around you. With one final yawn, you allow your eyes to become heavy and fall closed, matching your breathing to your lover's and quickly drifting off into a peaceful slumber.  --Info-- I own no rights to any sounds used in this video! --Story-- It had taken you and your Partner, none other than James Buchanan Barnes or better known to you as Bucky, quite some time to find the small safehouse deep within the snowy wilderness that had been detailed in your Mission folder. But, thankfully, you both managed to find the small log cabin in the forest's one and only clearing. Right away, you both had stumbled inside the small area, sighing gratefully at the already cut and split stack of firewood neatly stacked next to the fireplace. The both of you settle in as the wintry wind blows outside, making you shiver internally, even though you're curled up on the double cot acting as a makeshift bed in front of the crackling flames dancing in the fireplace, the book you'd decided to bring along with you on this particular Mission, in your hands. The sound of the chilly storm outside is dampened by the comforting sound of smooth jazz softly playing from the old, rather beat up iPod Bucky always carries, knowing that it helps you both relax after stressful Missions like these. Wordlessly, the sound of your Partner crawling under the blankets beside you pulls you from your thoughts. He takes some time to settle in, though you don't mind, beginning to read your novel, flipping pages every now and then. As time wears on, the sound of his light snoring from where he's laying beside you wanders to your ears, earning a soft smile from you. Silently, you tuck the book you'd been reading away and snuggle closer to his much larger and warmer frame, the sounds surrounding you quickly lulling you to sleep as well. --Info-- I own no rights to any sounds used in this video!
