What begins as healing can become something far darker. Kara Mosher joins Richard Syrett to expose her terrifying descent into psychedelics, spirit guides, astral projection, occult rituals, and entity contact — a journey she now believes opened the door to spiritual deception, psychological collapse, and a battle for human consciousness itself. GUEST: Kara Mosher is the author of Here Comes Trouble and a former psychic medium and occult practitioner who says years of involvement with psychedelics, spirit communication, astral projection, and New Age spirituality led her into profound psychological and spiritual darkness. Today, she speaks openly about spiritual deception, entity encounters, awakening culture, and her controversial decision to walk away from occult practices after becoming convinced she had encountered something deeply malevolent. When the indie rock band The White Stripes emerged from Detroit in the early 2000s, Jack and Meg White introduced themselves to the world as brother and sister. Meg was the shy yet badass sister on drums. Jack was the wild younger brother on lead vocals and guitar. The White Stripes gradually found mainstream success with iconic songs like “Seven Nation Army” and “We're Going to Be Friends.” But there's more to the story than great music and a family band. In 2002, Entertainment Weekly shocked music fans around the world when they published…Jack and Meg's marriage certificate. Proving Jack and Meg didn't share a last name because they were siblings – they were actually divorced husband and wife! This week, Kell is teaching us about the mysterious world of The White Stripes – including many lies, a divorce party, and a vanished rock star… Hear the whole episode today by subscribing on Patreon! ***** This is a teaser for a bonus episode— the full episode is 1 hour 33 minutes long. In this episode, I broke down one of the most important (and often overlooked) parts of building a successful beauty business: client retention.Because let's be real...your lash business isn't built on one-time appointments. It's built on repeat clients who trust you, come back consistently, and create stable, predictable income. In this episode, I share exactly what to say (and how to say it) to first-time clients so they feel confident, comfortable, and excited to rebook, even if something doesn't go perfectly during their first appointment with you.In This Episode You'll Learn:

March 15, 2026 - Sunday AM Sermon In this episode we confront what the U.S. Surgeon General calls an epidemic—not of disease but of loneliness—and trace its devastating physical and spiritual effects. Using vivid contemporary examples (including a viral McDonald's CEO moment) and classic cultural references, the speaker frames loneliness as a public-health crisis and explains why the Bible insists companionship is essential: "It is not good for man to be alone" (Genesis 2:18). The conversation digs into Scripture to explain what true, biblical friendship looks like. Drawing on passages from Genesis, Leviticus, Matthew, John, Paul, James, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes and many others, the episode lays out three core practices for Christian friendship: 1) Love one another sacrificially (love, not mere liking), 2) Lead one another toward Jesus (evangelism and spiritual accountability), and 3) Do life together (mutual sharpening, service, confession and rejoicing). Listeners will hear memorable biblical examples—Jonathan and David, Jesus and his disciples, Paul and Onesimus, Abraham, Moses—and contemporary vignettes like Bride of Frankenstein's blind hermit and Tad Lincoln's access to the president to illustrate how friendship meets deep human needs. The speaker also cautions against two modern errors: withdrawing from others and indiscriminately accepting every relationship without biblical standards. The episode then turns inward to our relationship with God, exploring what it means to be God's friend. Practical steps are explained: be transparent with God, spend time with Him (the episode cites research on hours required to deepen relationships to underline the need for investment), and share God's values—faith, obedience, truth, mercy and humility. Key texts cited include John 15, Hebrews, Psalms, and the lives of Enoch, Noah, Abraham and Moses. Guests and people referenced in this episode include Neil Aubrey, Gregory Gwynn, Scotty Toodle, Jason Moon, Keith Kasarjan, Joe Ketchum, Mike Inge, Johnson Kale, Michael Height, Wes Autry, Mike Ripperton and Dean Murphy, along with numerous biblical figures and cultural examples woven throughout the message. Key takeaways: loneliness is dangerous but biblical friendship is both a remedy and a calling; friendship must be rooted in love, aimed at drawing others to Christ, and expressed by doing life together; and the greatest friendship is with God—cultivated through honesty, time, and shared values. The episode closes with a pastoral challenge: put doctrine into practice, move beyond surface-level relationships, and respond to Jesus' invitation to be friends with Him. Welcome back to the Let's Be Friends podcast! With us today is guest Father Turbo Qualls. The allure of the occult has fascinated humankind for centuries, promising secret knowledge, power and healing. However, practicing the occult and New Age can lead to major psychological distress and spiritual turmoil. Join Father Turbo and me in a deep conversation about psychological/spiritual healing from an Orthodox perspective.Father Turbo is an Orthodox priest and the rector at St. Mary of Egypt Orthodox Church in Kansas City, Missouri. He is a host of the Royal Path Podcast, an iconographer, and spiritual director for both the Convent of the Mother of God Seeker of the Lost, which is an urban monastic community, and the Mount Tabor School of Liberal Arts, which provides classical education that is rooted in Orthodox tradition. In our conversation Father Turbo and I also discuss how Gnosticism not only found its way into popular culture but also into the Protestant church and why we believe the Orthodox church is the only path that leads to full healing—the narrow path that Jesus Christ laid out. Father Turbo also dispels the Millennial Kingdom Heresy, also known as Chiliasm. We discuss the Christian/Antichrist Hegelian dialectic, the dangers of the rabbit hole, mind programming and occultists, why trusting the plan is a trap, and why we need to die to this world instead of hoping for a solution to fiscal problems that will never come.Watch this interview on Youtube!Find Father Turbo Qualls:InstagramYoutubeSt. Mary of Egypt Orthodox ChurchSynaxis of SophiaWant more? Dallas the Spoodle Befriends Local Magpies as Cockatoos Target Neighbors: Colleague Jeremy Zakis reports that Dallas, an 11-year-old spoodle, continues to expand his "village" of avian friends, now joined by teenage magpies who actively run to greet him during walks, theorizing that the territorial magpies view the friendly dog as a "force multiplier" or ally rather than a threat; while the magpie breeding season is ending, a flock of cockatoos has returned to vandalize a specific neighbor's roof, inexplicably zeroing in on one property while leaving Zakis and Dallas unbothered by the destruction next door. On this episode of the Let's Be Friends podcast, we are once again joined by frequent contributor and impromptu co-host, Nick Hinton. Recently, we discussed how psyops are being used to convince conspiracy theorists that we are in the apocalyptic last days of the Bible. However, these “prophecies” require no spiritual eyes to discern. Instead, they must be decoded using occult knowledge that truly makes people crazy. So, who's actually orchestrating these psyops? Why do they want to drive people crazy? Does this cultish cabal consider their insanity a religion they want the masses initiated into? This seems to be the case! And it becomes more obvious once you see how their religion is a combination of every esoteric belief system, which they seem to be normalizing through strange headlines and nonsensical world events.Want more? On today's episode of Let's Be Friends, our frequent guest and contributor Nick Hinton returns to take a second look at the fake apocalypse theory we discussed back in 2022. Since then, it seems some of the predictions we made have come to pass, including the false revival, the right-wing taking over the country, conspiracies going mainstream, and the arrival of an AI antichrist spirit that's influencing leaders like Donald Trump and Elon Musk.We also discuss other subjects from the previous series, like the false gospel of churchianity. However, we discuss it from our new orthodox perspective. It turns out the Holy Fathers already had a name for this! They called it moralism, which was the same sickness the Pharisees suffered from. It is the opposite of holiness, which is an internal transformation of the heart accomplished by God, rather than a superficial change of behavior accomplished by our own effort.Check out the Bonus Episode "Psyopocalypse B-Sides" with Nick and Kara on the Friendship Membership.Want more? This is a Grave Talks CLASSIC EPISODE! It started with an innocent request from a four-year-old girl: “Can Timmy join us for dinner?” To her father, Mike McCallister, it sounded like just another imaginary friend. But what followed would send chills down his spine and spark a lifelong journey into the paranormal. As his daughter carried on detailed conversations with the empty chair beside her, Mike began to realize this wasn't a game of pretend. His little girl described “Timmy” with uncanny accuracy—his appearance, his voice, and even events and deaths from times and places she could not possibly know. What began as an “imaginary friend” quickly unfolded into something much darker, much stranger, and far more real. Over time, the encounters escalated. Timmy wasn't just a name; he became a presence, a spirit child who seemed tied to tragedies long buried in history. As Mike dug deeper, he found himself questioning everything—life, death, and the thin veil that separates the living from the dead. Was this the innocent imagination of a child? Or proof that children, with their openness and sensitivity, can truly see beyond the physical world into realms most adults ignore? We sit down with Mike McCallister to hear the full story of his daughter's ghostly companion—and the paranormal path it set him on. From eerie dinners with an unseen guest to memories of people and places his daughter should never have known, this is one of the most unsettling and compelling true ghost stories we've heard. https://newsongpeople.com/messages/seven-dimensions-of-jesusHey New Song — we're kicking off a brand-new series: Looking Unto Jesus. This week we begin with the thing every change-seeking heart needs to hear: real growth doesn't start with trying harder — it starts with seeing Jesus rightly.Big idea: Real change for real sinners comes from looking to Jesus — not looking harder at ourselves. When Jesus expands, we change. In this message you'll hear:• Why growth is in Christ (2 Peter 3:18 / Ephesians 4:15) — not self-improvement.• How a domesticated, collectible-figure Jesus keeps us small — and why the real, unsearchable Jesus makes us free.• Seven dimensions of Jesus that reshape our lives: He Rules, Saves, Befriends, Perseveres, Intercedes, Is Returning, and Is Gentle.• Practical next steps for people stuck in control, shame, exhaustion, cynicism, or numbness — what it looks like to draw near.• Stories, Scripture, and pastoral truth to help you dive deeper into Christ and begin real, lasting change.Scriptures referenced: 2 Peter 3 · Ephesians 4 · Matthew 28 · Luke 7 · John 10 · John 15 · Philippians 2 · Romans 5 · Hebrews 7 · Matthew 11 · Mark 13 (and more)If you came for pep-talks, great — but if you want soul change, come ready to look. Let the fullness of Jesus expand your vision, overwhelm your assumptions, and love you into growth.
Wild Voices ep.793 "Wild Voices" is Andrew Newall's fourth story to be broadcast on Tall Tale TV. The story first appeared in print in the Scottish magazine "Razur Cuts" in 2022, and online in "Honeyguide Literary Magazine" last year. Submission guidelines can be found at http://www.TallTaleTV.com ---- About Tall Tale TV ---- Hi there! My name is Chris Herron and I'm an audiobook narrator. In 2015, I suffered from poor Type 1 diabetes control which lead me to become legally blind for almost a year. The doctors didn't give me much hope, predicting an 80% chance that I would never see again. But I refused to give up and changed my lifestyle drastically. Through sheer willpower (and an amazing eye surgeon) I beat the odds and regained my vision. During that difficult time, I couldn't read or write, which was devastating as they had always been a source of comfort for me since childhood. However, my wife took me to the local library where she read out the titles of audiobooks to me. I selected some of my favorite books, such as the Disc World series, Name of the Wind, Harry Potter, and more, and the audiobooks brought these stories to life in a way I had never experienced before. They helped me through the darkest period of my life and I fell in love with audiobooks. Once I regained my vision, I decided to pursue a career as an audiobook narrator instead of a writer. That's why I created Tall Tale TV, to support aspiring authors in the writing communities that I had grown to love before my ordeal. My goal was to help them promote their work by providing a promotional audio short story that showcases their writing skills to readers. They say the strongest form of advertising is word of mouth, so I offer a platform for readers to share these videos and help spread the word about these talented writers. Please consider sharing these stories with your friends and family to support these amazing authors. Instead, we discuss the conspiracy theory that the Covid pandemic and the vaccine was actually a plot to inject people with an AI hive mind. We also discuss the original eastern and mystical meaning of symbolism, as well as the possibility that many of these psyops are symbolic themselves.Want more? Let's be friends. Whether you live inland or on the coast, making a life in Maine means getting to know your neighbors, and learning to listen to one another. Being heard is powerful, and so is steering into conflict with the desire to keep listening. We have two stories about the power of making your voice heard, and of listening to your heart. The first is the story of a reporter from Skowhegan, Maine, who fights to keep working and living after losing his vocal cords. The second is about a town that comes to see a massive cruise ship docked in port during the Pandemic almost like a kind of family member.

Welcome back to the Let's Be Friends podcast! This podcast started in 2021 during a time of tension in the world to provide a place for friends to get together and talk about anything and everything. Through time the topics and conversations on the show have evolved. I have gone from discussing the occult, exposing the New Age, and diving deep into the bottom of the rabbit hole to following the Jesus “freak”—quincy—”to eventually finding sanity and becoming an Orthodox Christian. In today's episode I go back to the roots of the show and have a candid heart-to-heart chat with you. Follow me as I discuss the past year, what I have been through, and where my mind is now. School can cause kids to feel nervous and stressed out, not just about schoolwork, but about friendships. Feeling left out of conversations, feeling lonely, hearing hurtful words, and unsure how to break out of the cycle of friendship struggles. In their devotional, Let's Be Friends: A Tween Devotional on Finding and Keeping Strong Friendships (Harvest House, October 2023), mother-daughter authors Blythe Daniel and Calyn Daniel, want to give girls tools. This interactive book helps girls know how to find true friends, how to leave friendships respectfully, and what friendship with God looks like."Sometimes we need a little time to see if the people around us are friends for us or may be friends for someone else. But sometimes the people we don't think will be a good friend can turn out to be a best friend if we just give them a chance to share who they are," says Calyn. It's hard for girls to know what to say when they face certain friends. Remaining respectful, standing up for themselves, leaving an unhealthy friend group, and making new friends when shy or unsure of yourself are areas addressed.Let's Be Friends contains 30 devotions with journaling space for the reader to share her responses, check off what's most important to her, a prayer to pray and words to speak over herself. Topics include fitting in, rejection, what friends show you about yourself, body confidence, when to walk away, taking your pain to God, thinking on God's word, and pressing on when life is hard.Calyn enjoys spending time with her friends and family, including older sister, Maris, and her twin brother, William. Calyn is a competitive gymnast, an oboist, and likes to cook. She has included some of her favorite recipes and activities to do with friends in her book. Calyn believes teen girls need to know who they are in Christ, how to navigate friend groups and how to not lose sight of who God has made them to be. Calyn Daniel and her mother Blythe Daniel want to help teen and tween girls find their voice in conversations with friends and develop friendships with others and with God. They have co-authored Let's Be Friends: A Tween Devotional on Finding and Keeping Strong Friendships.Learn more about the book at https://connectingheartsandconversations.comPlease share StoryJumpers with a friend if you enjoyed this episode. We dive into the shocking FSU shooting and the media's absolutely gross response, call out CBS for their shameless spin, and break down why Carmelo Anthony's latest drama has us all scratching our heads. We talk Kyle Rittenhouse, Kyle's critics, and the gang affiliations Democrats really don't want to talk about. We're also calling out AOC's wild new accent (seriously, what is happening?), Van Hollen's margarita diplomacy, and the absolute race-baiting queen Rep. Crockett. Plus, Mark Carney can't define gender, Washington State wants to parent your kids, and J.K. Rowling is once again the voice of reason. For the first time since the third-ever episode of TCBCast, we're immersing ourselves fully in the music of the US Army's own Tulsa MacLean! Bec and Justin explore the three recording sessions in April & May 1960 that led to the iconic, bestselling #1 album. As it turns out, unusual for Elvis sessions, numerous songs had vastly different arrangements attempted as Elvis and the band struggled to find their footing with the material, as well as contend with external pressures that frustrated Elvis. With classic pop-tinged songs like "Wooden Heart," "Pocketful of Rainbows" and "Doin' the Best I Can" supplemented by material that alluded back to Elvis's earlier 1950s stylings like "Blue Suede Shoes," "Frankfort Special" and "Shoppin' Around," this was a ton of fun to explore. For Song of the Week, Justin decided to pick "Let's Be Friends," which was cut from the film "Change of Habit" and instead became the title track of a low-budget compilation the following year, and tries to puzzle out where it might have fit in the movie's story. Then Bec lays all her cards on the table, selecting "From A Jack to A King," the country classic that Elvis almost semi-jokingly laid down at Chips Moman's American Sound Studio. If you enjoy TCBCast, please consider supporting us with a donation at Patreon.com/TCBCast. Your support allows us to continue to provide thoughtful, provocative, challenging and well-researched perspectives on Elvis's career, his peers and influences, and his cultural impact and legacy.

Introduction: Have you ever gone out of your way to show kindness to someone that just didn't deserve it? Sales leadership is full of hidden pitfalls that can derail even the most experienced managers. In this episode, Kevin Gaither—former ZipRecruiter sales leader, CRO of Inside Sales Expert, and author of It Happened on the Sales Floor—pulls back the curtain on the most common mistakes sales managers make. He challenges the myth that you can be friends with your reps, shares the six must-have traits for every sales hire, and explains why most coaching efforts fall flat. If you're a CRO or frontline sales leader, this conversation will change how you think about hiring, coaching, and managing your team.Kevin's straight-shooting approach delivers hard-earned lessons from building and scaling high-growth sales teams. We cover why many first-time managers fail, how to identify coachable reps, and the key to developing a sales culture that breeds success. Whether you're struggling with underperforming reps, overwhelmed managers, or a lack of accountability, this episode offers actionable strategies to avoid costly leadership missteps and build a team that consistently wins.Top Takeaways:You Can't Be Friends with Your Sales Reps – Building personal friendships with your team creates favoritism risks, weakens accountability, and can backfire when tough decisions need to be made.Hire for Six Non-Negotiable Traits – Every great sales hire must have need for achievement, competitiveness, optimism, coachability, continual learning, and organizational skills—if they're missing even one, don't hire them.Coaching Is More Than Just Deal Reviews – Most managers only coach around pipeline and forecasting, but real coaching focuses on skill development and long-term rep growth.First-Time Managers Fail Without Proper Training – Many sales leaders assume they can manage just because they were top reps, but without structured training, they struggle to develop their teams effectively.A Strong Hiring Process Is the #1 Predictor of Sales Success – The best sales strategy in the world won't work if you put the wrong people in the seats—hiring is the most critical leadership skill.Reps Don't Change Just Because You Want Them To – Without consistent coaching, accountability, and reinforcement, reps will default to old habits, no matter how much you tell them to improve.Perception Is Reality in Sales Leadership – Even if you treat your team fairly, if others perceive favoritism or inconsistency, it will erode trust and team cohesion.Managers Need a Playbook, Not Just Experience – Experienced managers still need structure and frameworks to be effective; winging it leads to inconsistent coaching and missed opportunities for rep development.Ways to Tune In:Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/0Yb1wPzUxyrfR0Dx35ym1A Apple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/coach2scale-how-modern-leaders-build-a-coaching-culture/id1699901434 Google Podcasts: https://podcasts.google.com/feed/aHR0cHM6Ly9mZWVkcy50cmFuc2lzdG9yLmZtL2NvYWNoMnNjYWxlLWhvdy1tb2Rlcm4tbGVhZGVycy1idWlsZC1hLWNvYWNoaW5nLWN1bHR1cmU Amazon Music: https://music.amazon.com/podcasts/fd188af6-7c17-4b2e-a0b2-196ecd6fdf77 Podchaser: https://www.podchaser.com/podcasts/coach2scale-how-modern-leaders-5419703 YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@Coach2Scale CoachEm™ is the first Coaching Execution Platform that integrates deep learning technology to proactively analyze patterns, highlight the "why" behind the data with root causes, and identify the actions that will ultimately improve business results going forward. In today's conversation, the last in our Women in Theology series, we catch up with Regent's own Library Director and Professor of the History of Christianity, Dr. Cindy Aalders. Cindy has recently published her thesis as a monograph, The Spiritual Lives and Manuscript Cultures of Eighteenth-Century Women (2024). In this conversation, we delve into the archives and lives of Methodist, Baptist and Anglican women in the eighteenth century, seeking to understand their friendship, kinship and spiritual development as demonstrated in their letter-writing and diary entries. Cindy's work highlights the significant impact of women in relational spheres and religious communities. These women invested deeply in intergenerational friendships and spiritual kinship as they sought to be faithful to God. Cindy reminds us that we can learn much from them today as we strive to support one another in an increasingly isolated world. Cindy also shares her upcoming summer class, Children and Spiritual Identity (June 30–July 4).BioDr. Cindy Aalders is the Director of the John Richard Allison Library and Associate Professor of the History of Christianity at Regent College. Do you find yourself keeping score in friendship? It goes something like this… “I went to her kid's birthday party, but she didn't come to my kid's party!” “I scheduled the last brunch meetup, so it's HER turn to plan something!” Or, perhaps you catch yourself saying, “After all I've done for her?!” Are you laser focused on reciprocity in your relationship? If so, it sounds like you have a transactional friendship. While it's reasonable to expect our friends to celebrate important days and milestones with us and to give as much as we give, reciprocity shouldn't really be the goal in friendship. Instead, let's aim for transformational friendships. Transformational friendships help us grow and evolve as individuals. In these relationships, we dig a bit deeper - beyond the give and take - to offer a bit more of ourselves. Perhaps we offer a skill that only we have, a favor that a friend really needs, a word of encouragement so a friend can keep going, maybe a prayer. Perhaps we lovingly offer constructive feedback or carefully worded advice - all designed to help a friend grow. Will we get what we offered back? Maybe, maybe not. Still, we do it out of love. Join Stewanna Dasari and me for a conversation about transformational vs. transactional relationships. After the show, head to the Women, Friendship, and Community Facebook group to share your thoughts. *BE A GOOD FRIEND!* Would you like to hear more from Stewanna Dasari? SONNETCAST – William Shakespeare's Sonnets Recited, Revealed, Relived
With Sonnet 120 William Shakespeare draws a line under the explanations and excuses offered throughout the previous three sonnets for his own infidelities in relation to his young man, and simply reminds himself now of how awful he felt when his lover treated him in a similar way on those occasions when it was him who was sleeping around with other people. The conclusion Shakespeare comes to is that they both in turn have been through hell, and that their respective debt to each other for each other's transgressions now must surely cancel itself out.
