A wintry blast is about to close roads and cancel ferries. MetService meteorologist, Mmathapelo Makgabutlane spoke to Alexa Cook.

WGN-TV Weather Producer Bill Snyder joins John Landecker to discuss if we are finally done with the wintry temperatures, and whether or not we will see snow again. Additionally, he highlights the extra cloudy April that we have had which comes to us after an extra sunny March.

It will be warmed with showers on Monday before a cold front moves in, bringing some snow with it. Meteorologist Kirk Apffel has the forecast.

One of the most persistent Purple queries this offseason is who will start at QB and who will be his backup.

A low pressure system sliding through the region brings a chance for some snow and freezing rain to start the weekend, along with a cool-down to seasonable temperatures.

Some wet snowflakes move through for Friday, but for the rest of the weekend, temperatures will turn mild once again with plenty of sun and melting.

The winter storm has transitioned to rain in southern Minnesota. But it still feels very wintery up north. Minnesotans should prepare for the possibility of an icy commute as the weather gets colder. Also, Minnesota lawmakers plan to put forward $109 million to help counties repay people whose property was forfeited then sold due to unpaid taxes. The move comes after the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that Hennepin County violated a woman's rights when it sold her property for more than she owed in taxes and kept the windfall.
