Low Tide was distributed in a limited release and certainly didn't create much buzz back in 2019 and is not a film many remember, yet it holds a 72% Critic's Rating on Rotten Tomatoes. When Euphoria came onto the scene in 2019, there wasn't much nuanced media covering the Gen Z generation, and somehow Sam Levinson put his finger on the pulse. The main character of the show is Rue (portrayed by Zendaya), a drug addict who recently overdosed and went to rehab, but is struggling to stay clean.
