After realising they shared an uncanny stash of the same records, Melbourne Deepcast's Myles Mac and Melbourne via Copenhagen's DJ Camov formed a tribute band of sorts, occasionally coming together to share their obsession for forgotten 90s house music with the world. On their regular journeys back through the golden years, Project 95 moves between the soulful house of Chicago, NYC garage, Detroit techno, acid and early French filter house, channelling the legendary grooves of Ian Pooley, Paul Johnson, Daft Punk, Wamdue Kids, Fresh & Low, DJ Tonka, HMC and Roy Davis Jr. to name a few. No stranger to the interwebs, their distinct styles have been featured across the spectrum with extended mixes for Melbourne Deepcast and London's Stamp The Wax Diggers Directory podcast, with a three-hour session covering everything from 90s dub techno to IDM and rave. At home, the duo has been regularly called upon to set the tone for the likes of Glenn Underground, DJ Qu and Jeremy Underground, have been found winding back the clock at club nights like Melbourne's Lost Weekend and Lucid, Sydney's Vibe Positive and Heavenly, and Pitch Music & Arts Festival in country Victoria. @proj95 ==================================================== Upcoming Novel events: smalltown Street Rave w/ Roza Terenzi and Tornado Wallace Saturday 29th January, 3PM - 11PM @ Graham St, Port Melbourne Support: Millu, Pjenne, Marli, Willem www.facebook.com/events/805211553479883 Moodlab by Marli Friday 12th February, 10PM - 5AM @ Colour DJs: Marli, Bertie, Dj Luv You, Baby G, Floss Dogg, Aldonna, Bella Claxton www.facebook.com/events/1411925449193951 Bella Claxton Pres. Bside Incoming: Levi Love Disco This week we continue our international quest, this time venturing through the Black Sea to the capital of Georgia, Tbilisi. Here we find Levi Berishvili, better known as Levi Love Disco - a young emerging selector from the the Mountain region of Racha, paving his way into the ever exciting Georgian music scene. At the age of 21 he has had an impressive run with his DJing, spinning his records in clubs and festivals of high caliber; Club Der Visionare , Khidi , Mountain festival , and his 3 year long residency in 2018 with Ezo festival. As his name suggests, his true passion is collecting and sharing disco records from all time periods. However like most of us, he enjoys playing a wide range of music. When playing in clubs and festivals he speaks of taking influence from house DJs such as Ron hardy and Jeremy Underground, fusing disco and house sounds to create the energy and excitement his sets deliver. For his Bside podcast however he starts by taking us on a tour of his favorite jazz records, spanning from calming clarinets and vocals, to eerie trumpets and snares. The second half progresses into positive upbeat disco and soulful sounds. He is one to keep an eye on for sure... Enjoy! New Music Worldwide is a weekly mix series hosted by Thris Tian. This week's New Music Worldwide comes from Liem and Eddie Ness - Head honchos of Hamburg based label Lehult alongside Lucky Charmz, DJ Assam and Johan Kaseta. Launched in 2014, the label has been supported by the likes of Kerri Chandler and Jeremy Underground. Let’s give it up for one of the key driving forces behind RAW SOUL, Thomas Andrzej - he delivers the 4th X - Mas Podcast: When we think about Thomas, there is just one word about to describe his intimate love for records: passion. Being 14 years old he digged his first vinyl, an ep from the German Hip Hop crew "Stieber Twins". A couple of years later he recognized the beauty of house music and started to collect even more cross-border records - his collection of 700 platters contains Garage, House, Soul, Funk, Jazz, Disco und last but not least - Hip Hop. „After I met Jeremy Underground, my understanding for house music was completely renewed.“ That happened back in 2011, when we had Jeremy as our guest in Düsseldorf. As a main result, Thomas and the gang set up RAW SOUL as a passionated crew for records, music and knowledge sharing.

We met Nick back in 2012 for the first time while Jeremy Underground played his first gig at Watergate Club downstairs. We knew that we have the same passion for house music, we shared the love standing on the dance floor as much we love to cheer up the crowd playin' some honest house records. In the meantime Nick managed to release his fabolous tracks on labels like Wax Classics, Morris Audio or Beste Modus' sub label Beste Freunde (coming soon). Please have a listen to this mix. Enjoy!
