His early productions as Muzique Tropique saw support from the likes of Andrew Weatherall, Dubfire, Roger Sanchez, and Danny Tenaglia. As well as founding his own imprint, Glasgow Underground which became one of Deep Houses’ go-to labels of the late ’90s, Kevin McKay discovered fellow Scot electronic artist, Mylo in 2002. He relaunched Glasgow Underground in 2011 releasing both his own music as well as Claptone, Gerd Janson, MCDE, Dixon, and Dennis Cruz. Kevin McKay has just released ‘Miss You’, featuring Alex Grewer and Tasty Lopez, a disco-fied take on the Rolling Stone’s classic. Consuming underground records since his inception, Horowitz is undoubtedly one of the more prolific producer/DJs to come out of the heaving Australian dance music scene. Anyone with a passing interest in Melbourne clubland might’ve heard of the promotional crew Gold Haus. They’ve been hosting successful events around town at venues like Section 8 alongside secret warehouse locations. Willem makes up one-third of the Gold Haus directing team, and he is rapidly building a name for himself as a DJ of note. In his relatively short career, he has already played at XE54, Glamorama, Brown Alley and New Guernica. He has been booked as DJ support for international artists including Huxley, Ben Pearce and Big Miz. With a sound that blends tribal, progressive and melodic influences, he is currently honing his studio skills under the tutelage of Jamie Stevens. Tilman is a DJ, producer and label owner based in Mainz, Germany. He runs the longstanding and successful Klamauk label alongside the Fine imprint, a label he co-runs with Johannes Albert. Coming from a hip hop background, Tilman now champions a sound that takes in house, soul, disco and funk. He is an integral part of the Rhein-Main district’s club scene where he plays and hosts club nights. Starting his career in the early nineties, Damon Jee has followed an unconventional path towards becoming a globally renowned DJ. The last two years have seen a surge in his profile, no doubt due to the effective simplicity displayed in his productions, it is the sort of tracks that can ignite any flagging dancefloor. His remix of Pardon Moi's 'Power To The People' was considered by many DJs as one of last year's biggest club tracks. But it was his recent Beatport-charting release on Jennifer Cardini's Correspondant records which introduced him to a whole new audience. Pablo Valentino isn't exaggerating when he says his sets span across genres. His reputation as a tastemaker precedes him, as does his notoriety for breaking sound barriers. The French producer, DJ and owner of the MCDE and FACES imprints has been behind the console for over two decades. Part of his appeal on the dance floor owes largely to his voracity for collecting records, an activity that has consumed most of his life. The distinct musical patterns he weaves as he spins tunes that vary from jazz, funk and hip-hop to disco, house and techno are distinguishable for the primary ingredient he seeks in music – soul. As Pablo gears up for his 3-city tour of India, which commences tonight in New Delhi, he put together Wild City's 157th mix. Pablo's entire genre-spanning legacy is culminated into this single 1-hour compilation, which gets off to an energetic start with The S.T.U.D Band's straight-up funk and jazz track 'Success'. True to his words, these elements leave their mark on the rest of the mix, even as disco, deep house and house take over, with tracks by artists like Boo Williams, Romart Rauch and DJ City. There's even a special treat for listeners in the form of an unreleased track by Danilo Plessow's Motor City Drum Ensemble. Whether deliberate or just a serendipitous accident, this compilation is a suitable sonic representation of these late September evenings, as a lingering summer gently metamorphoses into fall. Vocal samples, disco and nu jazz emerge the heroes of this mix, which lulls you into swaying and boogying on the dance floor before easing you out with Franck Gerard's ambient 'Smother Savior'. International Tribe is a weekly mix series hosted by Thris Tian. This week’s International Tribe mix comes from Earl Jeffers.  Originally producing under the artist name Chesus, Earl Jeffers is the latest project from the Cardiff born producer. Making a style of raw grooving house, which takes influences from the sounds of Chicago Detroit and beyond, Earl Jeffers emphasises a great sense of history in his sets and productions, as heard in his collaboration with Byron The Aquarius. With releases on multiple influential labels such as 4lux Black, Local Talk, Ten Thousand Yen and Motor City Drum Ensembles label MCDE earlier this year, the Welsh producer also runs his own label Melange, which has most recently released music from Detroit's own Javonntte. For his International Tribe mix, Earl Jeffers curates a selection of tracks he has had on rotation recently, featuring music from the likes of Jay Daniel, Glenn Underground and more. Catch him playing at Fabric on the 21st of September.

Kamaal Williams has almost single handedly made jazz cool again. The exceptional keys player first did so as part of the now sadly disbanded Yussef Kamaal. Their debut album Black Focus was widely heralded as a modern great, and will soon be followed up by The Return, which finds Williams link with bassist Pete Martin, drummer MckNasty and sound engineer Richard Samuels. It is said to be a natural successor that deals in the sounds of the London streets as well as plenty of visionary jazz. Williams himself also makes soul infused broken beats and house as Henry Wu on labels like MCDE and Eglo and plays mesmeric live shows, so is one of the most vital characters in the modern music landscape. Before he plays for us a Lente Kabinet he has served up a special one hour mix that offers up plenty of his inspirations and influences. From high speed jazz funk to languid, worldly jazz via transcendental guitars and summery soul, it bares all the beautiful hallmarks of Williams’s own music and makes perfect sense in warm weather.
