In the Bible, you can read about prophets who confronted kings and attempted to influence the government for the sake of righteousness. On today's edition of Family Talk, Gary Bauer concludes his passionate discussion with Pastor Gary Hamrick about the role of pastors and the church in culture. Be reminded that these principles have not changed. If not the body of Christ, who will speak for truth and proclaim our responsibility to honor and glorify our great Creator? Sometimes a man is pushed by society to his limits. Sometimes… He pushes back. And sometimes…. he makes an indestructible bulldozer to destroy the entire town over not having a minor zoning dispute go his way. RIGHTEOUS INDIGNATION! This week on the podcast, Will and Theo talk about Garfield phones washing up on French coasts, the “Crypto House” (which is furnished and decorated with NFTs) people are trying (and failing) to sell in Hollywood, Marvin Heemeyer's rampage through his town with a custom “Killdozer” over petty reasons, and Theo asks Will “What Does This Rap Lyric Mean” with lyrics from the songs in “Culture II” by Migos. According to Dr. Steve Farrar, America is in a moral free-fall. We are living off the spiritual capital of the past, but it's now coming to a halt. On today's classic edition of Family Talk, Dr. Farrar says our country is in need of true revival. Much like the spiritual awakenings of the past, we need three things. An economic collapse to push us toward God, an outpouring of prayer, and the leadership of Christian men. Second Chronicles 16:9 says, For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to Him. Thanks for listening! Episode 2 is hier!

In this episode, Wellington and Savon are back to discuss Kawhi's possible ACL injury and how this affects the Clippers, Chris Paul's availability in question due to COVID and how the Suns have become a legitimate West contender. They also discuss the Hawks' precise shooting performances and the flaws that are exposed from the Sixers in the worst moments; also thoughts on if Ben Simmons' future might be in Philly or elsewhere. Finally, they review the Migos' new Culture III album, if this album was an improvement from Culture II and also review Polo G's latest Hall of Fame album and if he's a rising star with his amount of current commercial success. In the second half, they review The Fugitive, the 1993 action thriller film directed by Andrew Davis. Starring Harrison Ford, Tommy Lee Jones, Sela Ward and Joe Pantoliano. They dive into how this was one of the greatest action films of the 1990s and it containing a high amount of dynamite suspense. They also discuss this possibly being Harrison Ford's best film, how his range was highlighted well and how vital a smart script is for this type of thriller along with Tommy Lee Jones being in the perfect role; as a supporting actor.
Migos return with the final part of their Culture trilogy, a sprawling, 19-track album featuring some of the biggest names in hip-hop. Drake, Cardi B, Future, Justin Bieber and the late rappers Juice WRLD and Pop Smoke appear on Culture III, which dropped at the stroke of midnight. In a recent interview with Billboard, Offset said the trio are still waiting for the world to acknowledge their impact. "We made this trap [style] go pop," he said. "They don't talk about that. We made trap go pop talking about selling pounds and bricks, and we hit Billboard No. 1. Hip-hop artists weren't going No. 1 like that, but now it just be 'bang, bang, bang.'" Maybe so, though the charts tell a different story. Migos' 2017 album Culture and 2018's Culture II both led the Billboard 200 chart, and their hit “Bad And Boujee” featuring Lil Uzi Vert went to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in January 2017. This episode is one hour and nine minutes long, and it's still shorter than Culture II.
This week we talk the Grammys, Culture II, Joey Badass and the state of current rap and end with Drake's latest tracks.
Episode 137 and we're exploring the sub genre of rap known as Gay Parody. We talk about advances in technology and why Carlos is roughly opposed to all of them, Justin Timberlake trying a bit too hard, Migos's Culture II, and why it's so important for black people to win at the GRAMMYs next Sunday. Also, we've been backed up on music to review and we get through all of it on this episode from Huncho Jack, Jack Huncho to Camila to P2 to Bartier Cardi & more.
A masterclass in business and relationships, all at the expense of the man previously known as JAY-Z. On Episode 116, Cris Copastetik (@Copastetik) joins us to break down JAY-Z's latest album 4:44 in probably one of the best album breakdowns we've done, exploring the lyrics, evolution and psyche of Hov (37:00). Throughout the beginning of the episode we also discuss Cop's beginnings and founding 'Deal With No Deal' and the impact that it had. We also touch on the fights during BET Award weekend, Chance The Rapper slowly becoming the villain, and Migos' momentum leading to Culture II.
