Winston Peters has denied hiring a team of British political operatives to work on the New Zealand First election campaign. That's despite a report out of London that New Zealand First has engaged Arron Banks and Andy Wigmore of the pro-Brexit Leave.EU campaign. Speaking to The Telegraph, Wigmore promised to bring "mischief, mayhem and guerrilla warfare" to the campaign trail. In response Winston Peters quoted President Ronald Reagan saying 'there they go again.' before going on to say "The clickbait journos can't help themselves". "Not only have I not hired such a crew but it is impossible to see how they would even gain entry into the country." The Telegraph's chief political correspondent Christopher Hope is sticking with the story - which he has re-confirmed with Arron Banks and Andy Wigmore. He speaks to Kim Hill.

Guest: Alan MacLeod. We discuss the recent UK elections and how the Labour Party’s Brexit strategy backfired. We talk about the relentless propaganda campaign that was launched against Jeremy Corbyn and how there is a similar campaign being run against Bernie Sanders in the United States that is growing in intensity. We wonder if Bernie will learn from Corbyn’s experience or whether he’ll continue the kind of “high road” approach that did not turn out well for Corbyn. We also discuss the post-election implications for the future of the United Kingdom and its constituent countries England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. We also discuss the coup in Bolivia. Dr. Alan MacLeod is an academic, an author and a journalist who does work on media analysis and politics with a focus on social media, Latin American politics and propaganda. French Protesters Say "Leave EU" And Call For Less Immigration among many other demands in a list being shared by many journalists. Most say there is no official demand so its important to note that this may come from a random individual. But it is also important note that this may be the most prominent demand list and one of the best clues as to why so many people in France are upset and demanding the resignation of Emmanuel Macron.Whether the list is an accurate depiction of protester desire is unclear, but what is clear is that the people of France are fed up with Emmanuel Macron and want his resignation.Support the show (http://timcast.com/donate)

What does the UK's decision to leave the European Union mean for the future of the single market? Economists talk of sustained market turbulence, devaluations and an imminent recession, but will it be Britain or the EU suffering the worst effects long-term? And as eurosceptic political parties across the continent are buoyed by the UK's vote and call for their own referendums, what must the EU project itself do to survive? Ed Butler is joined by three guests from across the EU: Damien Lempereur from Debout La France, a political party which wants a French exit from the EU; Jens Zimmerman, a member of Germany's Social Democratic Party and part of Angela Merkel's coalition government; and Swati Dhingra, from the London School of Economics.
