But how was it discovered, how can you play it, and why did Nintendo choose Golf of all games? On this disturbingly relevant episode of Retronauts Micro, host Bob Mackey and guest Henry Gilbert answer all these questions and more.

After missing a week due to being at Smash the Record and being sick, GrandPOOBear is back with Jaku as well as special guest host Xwater. They talk about Smash the Record before talking about another speedrunning event: AGDQ 2018. They talk about the game submission list as well as how tickets for the event have sold out after only 23 hours. They talk about finding NES Golf on the Nintendo Switch and other Easter Eggs found in popular games. SEGA teams up with Hooters to promote Sonic Forces, so Poo, Jaku, and Xwater talk about other bizarre team-ups like this in the history of gaming. This week’s Hot Take is in response to an interview with the developers of PUBG claiming that Epic Games’ should have asked them before making Fortnite Battle Royal since they feel Epic Games’ are copying their use game’s engine and game modes. The questions are: When a game developer makes a game, do they own that kind of game? Do other developers need to ask permission before making a similar game? Poo, Jaku, and Xwater answer some listener questions about speedrunning on emulator or original hardware. You can submit any questions you have to podcast@warp.world for the Ask the Broadcasters segment!

Quick and to the point, the host doesn’t put in much “noisy” content, instead focusing on the biggest topics / releases. Keep up the great work.EmailGeoffrey emailed Hi RJS:I wanted to give my input on the physical versus digital question.I had a PS Vita and used it a ton. I had more than 60 games. Of those 60 I had about 12 cartridges and the rest were all digital.I know this is very much a first world problem, but changing cartridges was a pain. I'm just saying I have really experienced this issue. Just consider over 4 plus years, playing 300 days a year.. that's 1,200 days.. and multiple games a day.. that can be thousands of cartridge changes. So obviously the bad things about digital:1. They cost more, you can't get the good Amazon.com prices2. I had to buy my own 200GB storage card for $783. If you get some bad games or finish a game you don't want, you're stuck with them and can't trade them in...All 3 of those items add to not an insignificant amount of money, I.e. Hundreds of dollars more to go all digital..The advantage of all digital: user experience.. it's more fun and easier and convenient. For me, video games are all about fun, so yeah I'm splurging and making it a luxury item to go all digital and I'm glad I have.Tweet From Rebecca@RunJumpStomp RE physical+download: it's fine if it can be downloaded with a used copy as well. Likely not the case for RE Revelations 2.VoicemailFrom JustinPhysical cartridge needing a digital download is the worst of both worlds!NewsNintendo Golf on every switch?Update Iwata was the programer on the gameNetflix is “Locked and Loaded” for Nintendo SwitchNot the best sourceGameplayTwo more levels of M+R I’m really bad at that game.
