Trust is a tricky thing. We've been let down too many times. We've been burned by placing confidence in people, plans, or products that don't stand up to their words and warranty. Our lesson today would have us reconsider God. Is there anyone like him? And as we look at his words and the warranty of his promises, what does he deserve from us? Are we placing in him our full trust? 50 days after Jesus rose from the dead he carried out another promise - he sent the Holy Spirit. On that day the Christian church began in power. The apostles put their gifts to work and spoke about the miracle of Jesus' ministry for sinners to all who were there. Many were baptized. Down through the years we are the recipients of the Spirit's ministry. He continues to counsel us by the Word of God to see the work of our Savior and have his peace. We celebrate this fact in our services today! Click the image above to go to our livestream. Pastor Wright and Vicar Leeper are joined by Pastor Aaron Mueller to talk about "doubting" Thomas. By looking at his bold approach to faith and questioning, they examine how Jesus interacts not just with the disciples, but with those who have not witnessed his bodily resurrection. Listen this week to learn how those of faith today have more of Jesus than even the disciples! Feel free to contact us at Getwrightforsunday@gmail.com with any comments, questions, challenges, or quips! You can also find us on our website here. We would love to hear from you!
