Also- three stories from the Defense Post- 2 concerning 155mm ammunition (becoming our favorite subject) and one about Germany's latest assault rifle.  We also discuss a fine article from Jen Judson (at Defense News) and the Army's Optionally Manned Fighting Vehicle (OMFV) effort.  Finally, somewhere in there- we have a Saab Carl G article (10 year contract with Latvia)- which as you know- we just can't resist any shoulder-launched munition story.  Oh- and a great story about the Prototype Mid-Range Capability Battery (can't miss that one).

J'ai rencontré Nicolas Hennion il y a 2 ans. Un personnage qui marque. Et puis en mai 2021, il m'a envoyé cet email : Salut Matthieu, Ca va pas mal, merci ! Je rebondis sur cette notion "développement personnel radical" qui a fait tilt chez toi. C'est une bonne occasion de me mettre au clair sur ce que j'entends par là et la manière avec laquelle je le vis. Développement personnel (pour moi) = faire sauter un par un les conditionnements qui me lestent, ou m'empêchent d'accéder à ma 'version' un cran plus alignée/enthousiaste. Je vois le côté radical :1) dans la profondeur des conditionnements que je fais sauter (traumas, peurs, croyances, habitudes, etc)2) dans les raccourcis que j'utilise pour les faire sauteret 3) dans la diversité des sujets que je creuse depuis 10 ans, en pro comme en perso. Ça se voit pas mal dans ma vie perso : santé autonome, déscolarisation de nos 3 enfants, accouchement à la maison, un "code d'honneur" avec ma femme un gros cran plus engageant que la norme, un mode de gouvernance partagée en famille assez atypique, exploration des états modifiés de conscience, sexualité tantrique (une des plus grosses baffes que j'ai prises en 40 ans !), libérations traumatiques à la chaîne, etc. Dans la vie pro c'est le même process de démontage de croyances (les miennes comme celles de l'écosystème) qui me sert d'étoile polaire , mais j'ai mis du temps à le comprendre !Ça finit quand même par se voir dans mon parcours ou nos programmes : je suis passé de timide du management à "entraîneur" en management en mode entreprise libérée puis de timide de la vente à "entraîneur" en ventecomment vendre vite et cher un service BtoB innovant, sans slides ni démo.comment créer une offre à la fois chère et impossible à refuser en BtoB innovant,comment être en état de flow en permanence au boulot, etc. Ça te parle ? J'en profite pour prendre ton retour au passage : ça semble 'radical' vu de l'extérieur aussi ? ou pas tant que ça ? Episode 321: The Worlds a stage In the late 1970s, Fetzer received a National Science Foundation fellowship, and contributed a chapter to a book on Hans Reichenbach. In 1990, Fetzer received the Medal of the University of Helsinki. He assisted theorists in computer science and joined the debate over proper types of inference in computing. In the late 1990s, Fetzer was called to organize a symposium on philosophy of mind and authored textbooks on cognitive science and artificial intelligence. He is an expert on philosopher Carl G. Hempel. Fetzer published over 100 articles and 20 books on the philosophy of science and the philosophy of cognitive science, especially of artificial intelligence and computer science. In 2002, Fetzer wrote Consciousness Evolving, a collection of studies on the past, the present, and the future of consciousness. The book is divided into three sections: how and why consciousness evolved, special consciousness capacities such as language, creativity, and mentality, and the prospects for artificial consciousness. He founded the international journal Minds and Machines, which he edited for 11 years, and founded the academic library Studies in Cognitive Systems, of which he was the series editor. He founded the Society for Machines & Mentality. Near and after retirement, Fetzer remained a contributor as well as cited or republished in the philosophy of science and cognitive science volumes and encyclopedias

The “Wienermobile” is that hot-dog-on-a-bun-shaped vehicle long used by the Oscar Mayer company to promote and advertise its products in the U.S. The first Wienermobile was created by Oscar Mayer’s nephew Carl G. Mayer in 1936. Fetzer is a distinguished McKnight University Professor Emeritus at the University of Minnesota Duluth. Fetzer was born in Pasadena, California, on 6 December 1940. At graduation from South Pasadena High School in 1958, he was presented The Carver Award for leadership. He was magna cum laude in philosophy at Princeton University in 1962, where his senior thesis for Carl G. Hempel on the logical structure of explanations of human behavior won The Dickinson Prize. After being commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in the Marine Corps, he became an artillery officer and served in the Far East. After a tour supervising recruit training in San Diego, he resigned his commission as a Captain to begin graduate work in the history and philosophy of science at Indiana in 1966. He completed his Ph.D. with a dissertation on probability and explanation for Wesley C. Salmon in 1970. His initial faculty appointment was at the University of Kentucky, where he received the first Distinguished Teaching Award presented by the Student Government to 1 of 135 assistant professors.
