Today we spoke with John 'The Gorilla' Ryder - Professional Super Middleweight Boxer, and "The People's Champion" This episode has been sponsored by 'The Everyday Athlete Training System', which gives access to the methods that have coached champions across multiple sports. Built by the Head of Performance Matchroom Boxing Dan Lawrence this is worth checking out now - launches 9th April 2021 - this Friday. Find out more about this programme and Dan at https://www.perform365.life/ and @perform365 John holds a professional record of 29 wins out of 34 fights, 16 by way of knock-out. A southpaw from London, John is renowned for his tenacity, grit and work ethic - all traits of high performers across any field in sport and business. Ryder is a world level operator and competitor - and now has his eyes set on more big fights, and the biggest names in the division after a recent win against Mike Guy in December 2020...after a 13 month layoff due to covid-19. We learn how John prepares for big moments, and how he responds to failure. We can all take something from these pointers. John explores how he has evolved over his career, paying special credit to strength and conditioning and performance training with Dan Lawrence of Matchroom Boxing. John talks about the competitive and industrious environment in his gym, where his style and determination is forged. We ask about innovation in boxing, and what can other sports learn from the craft. A family man - you can hear the environment in the background on his side...John lets his gloves do the talking in the ring - but we are grateful he shared his story with us today!

This episode of the PWR Podcast is dedicted to the lives lost to intolerance and the hope of change, love and equality. RIP George Floyd.... Both The Rock and Steve Austin made their WWF debuts in 1996, and went on to taste Intercontinental title glory shortly after, before moving into the main event picture. The two biggest stars of the Attitude Era, "The People's Champion" and "The Texas Rattlesnake," were also the greatest in-ring rivals of the time! The two had a long-running rivalry that went on for over four years and took in three huge Wrestlemania matches. The Professor, and Tommy Wonder discuss what could very well be the greatest feud in WWE and possibly Pro Wrestling history!

Linsey Corbin, The People's Champion! Well, that's what I've dubbed her, because, the people love her. It obviously helps having an insanely adorable dog as her side kick. I think the underlying theme for this episode is "own your story." Linsey has learnt a lot about herself, particularly over the past couple of years that has seen her evolve as not only an athlete, but a person. This chat was a fascinating insight into confidence, perception, evolving and being true to yourself. I didn't know the conversation would go this way, but I am thrilled that it did.
GP Atlanta Winner Cyrus Corman-Gill talks about the human side and emotional ride of reaching a long time goal.

Holy crap, Goldberg returns to the ring in 2 weeks. That's insane. Well, we at WU thought maybe we didn't give him a fair shake when we covered his WWE run, so we've decided to take a look back at his run as the undefeated machine he was in WCW... by picking one of the worst PPVs we could think of... with WCW Halloween Havoc 1998.A huge double main event greets us in Las Vegas,as Goldberg defends his 154-0 winning streak and his WCW World Heavyweight Championship against the People's Champion, Diamond Dallas Page, in a match many consider one of the best in the Shows entire history, even though you had to see it the next night. But, not only do we have that, we have the rematch 8.5 years in the making, as Hollywood Hulk Hogan takes on The Warrior in a rematch of their classic from Wrestlemania VI. How will they perform after 8 years apart? One can only imagine the classic they'll put on here. But, don't forget about the other big matches, like the members of The Outsiders squaring off as Scott Hall takes on Kevin Nash. And in a battle of The Sharpshooter vs. The Scorpion Deathlock, Bret Hart defends his US Title vs. StingA huge PPV greets us, and a huge turning point in the Monday Night War greets us here tonight, as WU uncovers WCW Halloween Havoc 1998
Coming to you with record setting turn-around time, The Weekly Show emerges on the other side of the All-Star break with an all new episode! Nick "The Man" Penner and "Whiz Kid" Jeremiah Johnson are joined by "The People's Champion" Ryan Neeson, and together they talk about last week's big matchup, bemoan the lack of trading, and roast Flex *hard* (but what else is new?). Even with suboptimal audio editing, this episode goes hard and refuses to quit with all the hot takes you need this week.
Comedian Eric Nimmer joins the podcast to defend the honor of the People's Champion of Northeast Ohio, a one Lebron James. The Cleveland native hits all the hot topics: The Decision, bad sports fans in Miami, and the ongoing complicated relationship between Cavaliers fans and the "kid from Akron." This episode is NOT brought to you by Samsung, Kia, Nike, and receding hairlines everywhere. Follow Eric: @nimmthegreat
Jake and Todd welcome you to pull up a chair in front of their fireplace (Todd's 60 inch HDTV) and enjoy the holidays! The guys are joined by "The People's Champion" Mike The Destroyer and first time guest Jon Miller, from Atlas. After some whiskey you'll hear the guys talk about what the holidays really mean to them. Todd runs away from home (twice). Mike hates the original XBox. Jon drinks with The Dictators in New York. Jake is concermed about people who get up and walk around during Christmas Concerts. Todd shouts down Oglebay, West Virginia's Christmas Lights Display. (This episode means a lot to me and is something I will smile at years down the road - Todd) Musical Guest : Smeagol (from Lord of the Rings) - The Precious is Coming to Town
This week we talk about the People's Champion, do product reviews, and Alex drinks some mead.
