God's heart beats for the harvest, both in the world and right here in our city. In Matthew 9, Jesus saw the crowds and was moved with compassion, and He calls us to carry that same heart. Compassion is more than a feeling; it leads us to action and often opens the door for the miraculous. The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Will we be the ones who pray, who go, and who carry God's heart into the field? This is an invitation to let God change our hearts so we can see His Spirit move in power. This Sunday, Pastor Josh continued the conversation on spiritual gifts, unpacking what it means to “earnestly desire” them. We believe these gifts are still active today and vital to our mission as a church. From prophecy to serving, every gift matters and plays a unique role in strengthening the Body of Christ. Scripture calls us to pursue the gifts eagerly, not for our own recognition but for the building up of others. The Holy Spirit determines the gifts, but we are called to desire them. Without love as our foundation, the very gifts meant to edify the church can become empty displays. Through it all, love remains the “more excellent way” that gives every gift its true meaning. Recorded at Hope Church in Springfield, MO.
Do you realize the spiritual gifts you've been given are meant to serve others? In this Sunday's message, "Given to Give: The Purpose of Spiritual Gifts", Pastor Josh unpacked 1 Corinthians 12 and helped us understand how the Holy Spirit has uniquely equipped every believer to build up the body of Christ and carry out His mission. The same Holy Spirit who empowered Jesus equips us to walk in His power and grace daily. When we operate in these gifts, God's love flows freely through His church. Recorded at Hope Church in Springfield, MO.
This Sunday, in his message “Surrendered to the Father, Empowered by the Spirit,” Pastor Josh unpacks how Jesus came to be both our Savior and our example. He lived a life fully surrendered to the Father and empowered by the Holy Spirit, showing us what it means to depend on God in every moment. As those who love and follow Him, we are called to live lives empowered by the Holy Spirit, marked by surrender, obedience, and His transforming power. Recorded at Hope Church in Springfield, MO.

This Sunday, Pastor Josh brought a powerful word in his message, “The Promise Still Stands.” What if we truly believed that the same Spirit who filled the early church is still available to us today? As we reflect on the power of Pentecost, we're reminded that apart from Jesus and the Holy Spirit, we can do nothing. Just as Jesus lived in total dependence on the Father, we're invited to live the same way. He ascended so the Spirit could come, giving us continual access to His presence and power. This is an invitation to live with dependence, hunger, and a deep desire for more of God. Recorded at Hope Church in Springfield, MO.
This Sunday, Pastor Josh dives into Galatians in his message, "The Life that Bears Fruit", showing us that a transformed life doesn't come from striving; it comes from surrender. When we walk by the Spirit instead of the flesh and stay connected to Jesus, the Vine, we begin to bear the kind of fruit only He can produce. The works of the flesh point to us, but the fruit of the Spirit points to Him. A life that bears fruit is the evidence of a life shaped by His presence. Recorded at Hope Church in Springfield, MO.

Do you know who you really are in Christ? In this Sunday's message, "The Real You is the New You", Pastor Josh unpacks the powerful truth of 2 Corinthians 5:17—that if anyone is in Christ, they are a new creation. God is good, His Word is true, and it's in His Word that we discover both who He is and who we truly are. Our identity is no longer shaped by our past, but defined by what God declares is true. In Christ, the real you is made new. Recorded at Hope Church in Springfield, MO.

In this Sunday's message, "Freedom Through Forgiveness", Pastor Josh shared how the power to forgive flows from the staggering truth that Jesus paid the ultimate price to cancel our debt. Because we've been forgiven so completely, we're compelled to live with tender hearts—ready to release others as we've been released. The revelation of what Jesus has done for us softens our hearts and leads us into the kind of forgiveness that brings true freedom. Who might Jesus be inviting you to release today? Recorded at Hope Church in Springfield, MO.
What do you do when offense finds its way into your heart? In his message, "Freedom from Offense", Pastor Josh challenged us to reflect on how we respond in those moments. Left unchecked, offense can lead to bitterness and deception, distorting our relationships and our perspective. We were reminded that it's our responsibility to guard our hearts, stay tender toward one another, and choose to see both people and God through the lens of truth. Real freedom comes when we fix our eyes on Jesus and the cross—our unchanging standard in a world of shifting emotions and opinions. Recorded at Hope Church in Springfield, MO.
What if death isn't the end, but just the beginning? In his Easter message, "The Resurrection Changes Everything", Pastor Josh unpacks how Jesus' resurrection rewrites every story. He is alive, He is worthy, and His victory over the grave changes everything—past, present, and future. Jesus has broken the chains of fear, conquered the grave, and promised that what God did in Him, He will do in all creation. He is not only alive—He is the Resurrection, and His empty tomb is the promise that death doesn't get the final word. Recorded at Hope Church in Springfield, MO.

Is He at the center? In this Sunday's message, "The Table of Abiding," Pastor Josh invited us to respond to Jesus' invitation to draw near and abide. Abiding is a life fueled by hunger for more of Him, knowing that apart from Him, we can do nothing. His Word promises that when we draw near to God, He will draw near to us. He's knocking on our hearts, and the choice is ours—will we draw near and let Him capture our hearts? Will we abide and make Him the center of everything? Recorded at Hope Church in Springfield, MO.
What if you're not just called — but chosen for something greater? This Sunday, Pastor Josh shared his message, "A Royal Priesthood: Built Together, Set Apart," unpacking how 1 Peter 2 reveals our true identity as living stones, being built into a spiritual house for God's glory. We aren't meant to blend in — we are a royal priesthood, set apart to minister to God, offer our lives as sacrifices, and proclaim who He is to the world. This isn't just a title — it's a calling to live radically different, reflecting Jesus in everything we do. Recorded at Hope Church in Springfield, MO.

What if greatness isn't about power, success, or recognition, but about serving others? In this Sunday's message, "Redefining Greatness: The Call to Serve," Pastor Josh unpacks how Jesus completely redefines greatness—turning the world's standards upside down. True greatness, as Jesus teaches, is found in humility, sacrifice, and putting others first. He did not come to be served, but to serve—modeling a life where the way up is actually down. When we follow His example, we step into a greatness that isn't about making ourselves known, but about making Him known through a life of love and service. Recorded at Hope Church in Springfield, MO.
No matter what we face, one truth remains—Jesus is near. In this Sunday's sermon, Jesus is Near, Pastor Josh unpacks Philippians 4:1-9, showing how the reality of His presence transforms our lives. Because He is with us, we can walk in unity, find joy in every season, experience lasting peace, and have a sound mind. When challenges arise and life feels uncertain, we don't have to be shaken—He is our strength and sustainer. His nearness empowers us to live with confidence, anchored in the truth of His unchanging presence. Recorded at Hope Church in Springfield, MO.

Things Discussed: Seth on early to talk about Lions injuries, Ira gives us a short history of Detroit-Buffalo friendship. Oklahoma: Yes they got absolutely jobbed by Szelc. Yes, it's the #1 story of the game. Pushoffs, moving screens, 75 percent of Fears's free throws, and then a soft whistle at one end while ignoring a two-handed shove at the other end. Both of those were Szelc calls. Michigan won't get a fair whistle against this guy tbut what are you gonna do about it, have Warde complain to the Big Ten? They don't care. Rest of the game: Thruck was thruck. Michigan is a good team that gets the best shots in CBB. They're doing it with the big-on-big, and they're starting to know each other. Seth: pay attention to where Goldin gets his passes, where he likes it. Gonna need a team with extreme athleticism and NBA shot-blockers to contest them. Portal: Sam runs us through the QB options. DQ is a good one, Brendan Lewis is the one we like the best, Mikey Keene is a decent floor—he played for Lindsey at UCF—but you don't want a pocket-bound popgun arm before Bryce, do you? Lindsey connection got us the Arkansas brothers. Good athleticism and presence, but see TJ Metcalf as a high-floor Walker not a difference-maker. Always want a 5th year guy at nickel from now on. Brian: Can Morris come back? Sam: It's possible; he had concerns about the offense so if they have an OC and a QB now things could change. He hasn't set up any visits. Offense needs some bodies at OL: the guy they got is a development prospect. They're all in on Josh Thompson, who's checking out Auburn and Tennessee.
