God wants us to learn simple obedience so we can enjoy the benefits of His blessings. Do you obey God?
In this episode of Unwritten, host Trevor Barecca welcomes Murphy Tinio, who shares a personal chapter that illuminates the movement of the Holy Spirit today. Murphy opens into a season of his life that felt hard and dry while serving as a second-year missionary and first-year team director in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Grappling with profound loneliness and disconnection, Murphy sought clarity during a silent retreat. His story is one of simple faith: going to prayer, asking God for what he genuinely needed, and receiving a surprising, clear answer at 3:30 a.m.. The ensuing conversation with a fellow missionary, Noah, became a crucial moment, demonstrating God's provision for Murphy's expressed desire for friendship. In This Episode You'll Hear:
When you obey what God says, you unlock the peace, joy, and refreshing your heart's been missing! ABOUT THE MESSAGEIn Part 4 of The Refreshing, Kevin Dale Brock shares how real refreshment begins when we simply obey what God tells us to do. Through the story of King Saul and life lessons, we're reminded that obedience isn't about perfection—it's about connection. When we follow His voice, our hearts are watered, our minds are renewed, and the fruit of the Spirit begins to flourish in every part of our lives. It's easy to think following Jesus should always be dramatic, miraculous, or complicated… but Naaman's story in 2 Kings 5 shows us something different. God asked him to do something simple—and in that simplicity, healing came.If you've ever felt like faith was too complicated, too demanding, or that you had to “get it all together” before coming to God, this message is for you.Want to learn more about Radical?Instagram: @radicalchurchFacebook: www.facebook.com/radicalchurchtxWebsite: www.radicalchurch.lifeRadical Church | Sundays | 8:15AM, 9:45AM, 11:15AM & 12:55PM1151 Bunton Creek Rd Ste 1001, Kyle, TX 78640

Join Pastor Mike Burchfield as he continues his series, Jesus Christ: Perfect Man - Mighty God. This Sunday he will be discussing: The High Cost of Simple Obedience in Matthew 1:18-23. "...an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.”

Many times there are seasons where we desire to become more like Christ and grow into holiness. How do we do this? In today's episode, we will be looking at two passages of scripture to help us break this down, as well as myself sharing some personal stories of how this has played out in my life; and then in the end what God is working on in me right now in regards to a simple act of obedience that's leading me deeper sanctification.Josiahmovius12@yahoo.comCrystals hand made jewelry business IG page: https://www.instagram.com/crystalshandcraftedjewels?igsh=MXEzY2t5dm1xZHR6Nw%3D%3D&utm_source=qr

On Sunday one of our deacons, Chris Sharp, gave a word on what obedience looks like as we walk in the Spirit. Our desire for revival in this town starts with our individual obedience. A sacrifice that didn't come from a place of obedience is not a pleasing sacrifice to God. The only way we get to true obedience is through trust. The goal of our lives is to learn and know God's heart - to come to a deep belief in His goodness. Once that trust is developed, we are able to obey fully when He speaks. May God find us willing to let Him dictate our lives. He will be our Leader, our Shepherd and our King.

Usually, when we're looking for some kind of emotional lifeline to get us through the day, we only want to know what God can do for us. How do we get that peace of mind that we desperately need? One component is obedience. At first, this sounds like a test that's too hard. We need relief right now! Romans 12:2 says, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” That sounds like real peace of mind. It requires that we concentrate on ejecting all the junk in our heads, and replacing it with God's Word. Learning obedience is key, because it reveals the Father's perfect will for our lives. In this way, we almost back-into the peace that we were already looking for. This brings us into harmony with our Creator. A renewed, fresh and clean mind…it's also a mind that is at rest. Let's pray. Lord, teach us your ways. Help us uncover the peace of mind that those without You don't have. Then help us show them the way. In Jesus' name, amen.
