After getting lost while following yellow blazes instead of the traditional white blazes, he decided he was "done" and ready to quit, only to discover he had no cell service to call anyone.• The surprising generosity and community Joe encountered, including fellow hikers (Electric Spring and Sweaty Camel) who shared precious electrolyte water and gave him $60 after praying for him.
