Not sure how many of you remember this but it's the 10 year anniversary of this truly bizarre event and if you don't know, this was the show that took place between the Spike TV Video Game Awards and Geoff Keighley's The Game Awards. It was an event that marked a transition for one of the biggest game industry events now and some really insane things took place that we were very closely involved with including a showdown between Reggie and Geoff Keighley. YIKES! We hope you enjoy this truly insane story. See you soon! Fresh from his appearance on JRE last week we have Comedian Kurt Metzger. We chat about drill rap, Jay Z & Beyonce, and he drops a story about a WILD night in Canada with a football player, a couple of working girls and come narcotics. Lets just say holding hands isnt what it used to be. Kurt showed up smoking some weed and I invited him inside the studio while he was still smoking. I got a little high myself but after watching it back, I think I did OK. Our very own talent producer (Monarey Martinez) joins us on mic but off camera. We had a great time, and shared quite a few laughs. If you enjoyed this episode please consider subscribing. We may be a day late, but this episode of Push Start to Continue is certainly not lacking in the dollars and cents. Join Mike and Jesse as they completely ignore the awards given at this year's 10th annual Spike TV Video Game Awards, and talk about the only thing that really matters: the trailers and game announcements. Also discussed is the allure of the Demon's/Dark Souls series, the THQ Bundle, and much, much more. And since we talk about the trailers so damn much, we figured it only fitting that we include all of them (excluding Gears of War, which couldn’t be found anywhere), even the ones we failed to mention - sorry Tomb Raider, Castlevania and especially South Park! The Last of Us Dark Souls II The Phantom Pain BioShock Infinite Tomb Raider Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 South Park: The Stick of Truth Indie Game Spotlight: The Carp and the Seagull You can play the game here Music courtesy of… Intro: Densmore by Anamanaguchi Interlude: Score of The Carp and the Seagull Outro: Christmas Song by Nat King Cole Got questions or comments for the crew? We recap, and criticize or validate, some of the award winners from the 2012 Spike TV Video Game Awards.
This year’s Spike TV Video Game Awards featured all of the glitz and celebrity appearances we in the gaming industry expect to see over the past few years. Well, aside from our mystery game, in this issue I talk about two Naruto games I've been playing lately. Though the bulk of the ranting is about whatever game might come to mind rhyming with "Airsick Chickpea," there's also a minor rant about the Spike TV Video Game Awards. Oh, and an open invitation for your two cents about said awards! Catch all that, but not the bag of chips right here, right now, in PB & Jason Issue #21!
