We start there because it exposes something true about the human heart: ordinary things can be treated as priceless when they belong to someone we admire. Then we let Scripture apply that logic with life-changing force. If you belong to Jesus Christ, what does that make you worth? We walk through 1 Peter 2:9-10 and the four identity markers God gives his people: a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, and a people for God's own possession. Along the way we talk about the origins of the name Christian, why the church is a new family made from every background, and why “holy” means we will sometimes feel out of step with our culture. This is practical Christian theology that speaks to insecurity, rejection, and the pressure to blend in.The passage does not stop at identity. It gives mission. We are saved “so that” we may proclaim the excellencies of the One who called us out of darkness into his marvelous light. That means our lives become an advertising campaign for God's heroic deeds, especially the miracles Peter highlights: we were not a people, but now we are God's people, and we had not received mercy, but now we have received mercy. Artist Eva Dixon talks about the sophistication of not understanding while making, the potency of found imagery, how our culture is shaping the difference between being seen and being looked at, and more.Eva Dixon (b. 2000) is an Australian artist living in London. Dixon's practice, spanning assemblage, sculpture and painting, explores homo-eroticism in sport and porn, the space race, lesbianism and industry. Horny reimaginings of goal celebrations and tackles play against seductive or kinky materials; aluminium sheets, walnut frames, darkroom filters, buckles, clips and leather straps. Rockets built from stolen street signs and gifted electrical spools. As a collector of things; disused industrial materials, old football and boy-mags, pins and play cards, the material is a key-research point to Dixon. Manipulating each component to spin wild and sometimes racy narratives. Advertisements seeking discreet and specific kinds of sex inform the next stages of Dixon's practice and speak to the loss of historical artefacts in the wider LGBTQ+ community, where fictioning is a prevalent tool passed down through generations.Dixon is a graduate of Central Saint Martins, completing a BA in Fine Art (Hons) in 2023. Recent significant exhibitions include solo presentations SCORE! at Split Rivera (2025), Mercury 13 at WIP Space (2025), and Lesbian Trucker Paintings at The Fores Project (2023). Notable duo exhibitions include Lands End (2024) and the 2026 duo exhibition Top Dog at Parlour Gallery, alongside presentations at Saatchi Gallery, Christie's and Rose Easton. If you have listened to any episodes recently you will have noticed that advertisements are now playing at the start, middle and end each episode. Click/tap here to view the Sermon Reflection Guide. What is the last thing you purchased for the purpose of improving your life? Every day, we encounter hundreds of proposals about how we should spend our money, time, and attention. Advertisements, products, and opportunities promise to make our lives better—healthier, happier, more successful, or more fulfilled. Each of these proposals asks us to run a kind of cost–benefit analysis: Is this worth it? Will this truly improve my life? Jesus offers a different kind of proposal. In Matthew 13:44, Jesus says the kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man discovers the treasure, he joyfully sells everything he owns in order to obtain it. Jesus is telling us that there is one thing worth everything. It is as valuable as buried treasure. It is like a precious pearl. The “it” Jesus is pointing to is life in the kingdom of God through discipleship to him. It is a life spent knowing Jesus, learning his ways, and becoming like him. The invitation of the parable is simple but profound: Consider the cost. Consider the benefit. Decide whether it is worth it. The life Jesus offers—one filled with love, joy, peace, and purpose—is the greatest treasure we could ever discover.

How to Let Go of Wrong Ideas About Love?

Relax with Meditation

Play Episode Listen Later Jan 24, 2026

Most of our struggles in relationships come from wrong expectations about love. The three biggest challenges in marriage are communication, sex, and money. If even one of these is broken, the relationship will suffer.Take sex as an example:We all have desires. If we can't live them inside our marriage, they will show up outside of it. The more rules and demands you place on your partner, the less happy you become. As Tony Robbins says:👉 The fewer rules you impose, the happier you are.Instead of chasing perfection in love, learn to accept, reduce demands, and open your heart. A big heart that tries to solve problems with love will find relationships much easier.💡 The Lies We Learned About LoveLove is the most wanted thing in life—yet also the most misunderstood. We confuse it with the illusions sold to us through:NovelsMoviesSongsAdvertisementsThese are not real love. They feed us false ideas that lead to disappointment: the myth of everlasting passion, the soul partner who solves everything, or chemistry that lasts forever.⚡ Chemistry vs. CompatibilityOne of the biggest mistakes:👉 Confusing chemistry with compatibility. You can feel strong chemistry with someone and still end up in a toxic relationship. You cannot love a narcissist or a cheater just because the sex is good.Real love is about deeper connection—not excitement alone.Science shows we often mistake stress and anxiety for attraction. That spark, that “butterfly” feeling, is often just adrenaline. But adrenaline is not love.Ask yourself next time:❓ Do I feel safe with this person, or just stimulated? In truth, healthy love is:Safe and stimulatingPeaceful and passionateRespectful without showing offGrowth-oriented without pressure🛑 Why Boundaries MatterLove without boundaries is not love—it's self-abandonment.Don't give up your hobbies, friends, or personal growth for your partner. No relationship should stop you from therapy, meditation, sports, or your spiritual path.God (or your inner truth) must remain more important than your partner.Boundaries protect love. They keep the right people in and push the wrong ones out.🔥 Drama vs. PeaceWe're addicted to drama because it feels exciting. But real love is not chaos.Peace is not boring.Passion is not toxic.A good relationship makes exciting things even better, but also makes ordinary moments feel safe and fulfilling.Ask yourself:How do you feel with your partner on a normal day, without distractions, without your phone, without doing anything special?⚔️ Conflict Is Not the EnemyConflicts don't ruin relationships—how you fight does.Healthy couples don't avoid arguments. They use them to grow.Real love is not loud; it's quiet.Connection means being seen even when you're imperfect.True love stays with you through the hard times. You don't find a dream partner—you choose every day to build one another.Love is a commitment to grow and heal together, not to seek perfection.🧠 Childhood PatternsMost people repeat three emotional patterns in their relationships, all rooted in childhood. These patterns are never healthy, and they keep us stuck.Ask yourself:What must someone do so you feel loved? Are your answers (kiss, gift, attention) just surface gestures?Or do they reflect the heart's attitude behind the action?A kiss without love is nothing. A kiss with presence, tenderness, and truth—that's love.❤️ The Essence of LoveReal love is not about excitement or perfection. It is about:Safety without boredomPassion without chaosGrowth without pressureBoundaries without distanceConnection without conditionsLove is not something you find—it is something you choose, protect, and grow every single day.My Video:  How to Let Go of Wrong Ideas About Love?  https://youtu.be/TUS4_p8dQ8EMy Audio: https://divinesuccess.net/wp-content/uploads/2021/Podcast5/How-to-Let-Go-of-Wrong-Ideas-About-Love.mp3

What? You don't see the happy times? But they are right there!Right there inside you.Oh, I see. You have something that is keeping you from seeing and feeling and living the sparkling clear and happy times that are struggling to rise up from the depths of your soul.I see that you are worried. That's the problem.Worry is the cork that keeps the champagne of happiness from spraying a smile on your face and a sparkle in your eye and joy into your heartIf you will allow me, I will try to do for you what Julius Rosenwald and Thomas Jefferson did for me.Julius Rosenwald was an immensely successful businessman who used his money – all of it – to help people rise above their circumstances and experience the wonders of the world in which they lived. This is what Julius Rosenwald wrote to me 100 years ago:“Early in my business career I learned the folly of worrying about anything. I have always worked as hard as I could, but when a thing went wrong and could not be righted, I dismissed it from my mind.”Friend, when a thing goes wrong and cannot be righted, dismiss it from your mind.An army of people surround us whose only job is to make us fearful and afraid. You must not allow these people to capture your attention.Journalists have been shouting deceptive and inflammatory headlines at us since the days of the American Revolution. But the journalists and podcasters of today have discovered new ways of shouting. Emails and websites and Youtube and cable and streaming services promise, pledge and swear to keep us highly informed and deeply unhappy. They feed our worries like stokers feeding firewood into the boilers of steam trains. They want us to ride on their rails of steel so that they can take us where they want us to go.Don't ride their train. Jump off of it. Thomas Jefferson did.He said,“I do not take a single newspaper, nor read one a month, and I feel myself infinitely the happier for it.”He went on to say,“Advertisements contain the only truths to be relied on in a newspaper. The man who reads nothing at all is better educated than the man who reads nothing but newspapers.”Thomas Jefferson avoided the news and said he was infinitely the happier for it.You should do it, too.Julius Rosenwald and Thomas Jefferson discovered that Jesus was telling the truth in Matthew chapter six when he said,“Do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”Don't worry.Be happy.Roy H. WilliamsDavid Ackert is making his list and checking it twice — but he's no Santa Claus. The gifts David brings are powerful insights for professionals who want to grow. David Ackert challenges the long-held belief that success depends on building a massive network of connections. In his view, quantity is a distraction. The thing to do is cultivate a small, curated list of at least 9 not more than 30 “high-value” relationships with people who have the ability to help you reach your goals.Send everyone else a Christmas card.Rotbart goes roving with David Ackert this week, at MondayMorningRadio.com

The discussion is structured to aid law students in preparing for exams by providing a systematic approach to analyzing contract formation issues. In the realm of contract law, understanding the foundational principles of offer, acceptance, and consideration is crucial. These elements form the bedrock of legally binding agreements, ensuring that promises made are enforceable by law. This blog post delves into these core concepts, providing a comprehensive guide for law students and professionals alike. The Objective Theory of Assent: At the heart of contract formation lies the objective theory of assent. This principle dictates that the intent to form a contract is judged by outward expressions rather than internal thoughts. Courts evaluate what a reasonable person would interpret from the words and actions of the parties involved, ensuring that agreements are based on clear, external manifestations of intent.Offer and Acceptance: A valid offer is a clear, definite proposal to enter into an agreement, which, upon acceptance, forms a contract. The offer must be communicated in a way that the offeree understands that their acceptance will create a binding contract. Acceptance, on the other hand, must mirror the terms of the offer exactly, especially under common law, where any deviation can result in a counteroffer rather than acceptance.Consideration: The Glue of Contracts: Consideration is the exchange of value that solidifies a contract. It requires that each party incurs a legal detriment or confers a benefit, creating a reciprocal bargain. Without consideration, a promise remains a mere gift, unenforceable by law. The classic case of Hamer v. Sidway illustrates this, where a nephew's forbearance from legal rights constituted valid consideration for his uncle's promise.Promissory Estoppel: A Safety Net: When traditional contract elements fail, promissory estoppel can step in to enforce a promise. This equitable doctrine applies when a promise induces significant reliance, and injustice can only be avoided by enforcing the promise. It serves as a crucial tool in scenarios where formal contract formation is lacking.Mastering the intricacies of contract formation is essential for navigating the legal landscape. By understanding the principles of offer, acceptance, and consideration, and recognizing the role of promissory estoppel, one can approach contract law with confidence and clarity. As the legal field evolves, these foundational concepts remain vital, ensuring that agreements are both fair and enforceable.Subscribe now to stay updated on the latest insights in contract law and beyond.TakeawaysContract law is fundamentally about enforcing serious private agreements. The objective theory of assent is crucial for understanding intent in contracts.Advertisements are generally not offers but invitations to deal.Acceptance is effective upon dispatch, not upon receipt.Consideration is essential for a promise to be legally enforceable.Promissory estoppel can enforce a promise even without consideration. The pre-existing duty rule prevents coercion in contract modifications.UCC allows for contract modifications without new consideration if made in good faith. The mailbox rule applies only to acceptance, not to rejections or revocations. The law is dynamic and requires adaptation to modern realities.contract law, offer, acceptance, consideration, promissory estoppel, UCC, common law, legal relations, contract formation, law school

It's not the most commonly sought-after item on Facebook, but it's certainly not the least advertised on the platform's feeds either.Advertisements for highly addictive and illegal drugs like cocaine and oxycodone continue to appear on Meta's social platforms, amid their no-tolerance policy for such content and for what they call 'robust' measures to keep them off.The RCMP says it works extensively to intercept online purchases of illegal drugs, but Meta's reliance on AI to regulate advertisement sales and distribution doesn't allow for much policing.Host Maria Kestane speaks to Ben Musset, digital editor for the Toronto Star, and Omar Mosleh, reporter for the Toronto Star to discuss their investigation into Meta's advertising loopholes, and how Canada's most vulnerable could fall victim to the multibillion dollar self-regulating business platform. Trance Formation of America with Cathy O'Brien

Church bells, chimes, Tibetan bowls all emit frequency that stimulates our brain, opening neuron pathways. Vibrational frequencies can also be used to compartmentalize memory, shutting down neuron pathways.Consider how harmonic tones in a song can trigger memory when you hear that song again. Perhaps it is a love song that reignites passion, or a melody that takes you back to teen years or childhood. Have you ever had a song come to mind that plays over and over again until it is annoying? This is akin to compartmentalized memory being triggered into photographic recallUnderstanding mind brain function empowers conscious control over what is allowed to influence or trigger thoughts and actions.Repetitive advertising narrative riding on deliberately tuned harmonic frequencies can trigger you to buy a product when you see it in the store whether you need it or not. Lyrics intended to incite violence riding on vibrational tomes that stimulate the part of your brain capable of violence is no accident. That little ting your phone makes when you get a text can either alert you to the message or demand your immediate attention depending on conditioned response. With constant repetition, frequencies like your cell phone's notification ting become so engrained that response is no longer a free choice.Advertisements, music and tech industries, video games, children's cartoons, and even news programs are driven by people who have access to “privileged” information on brain frequency manipulation which they use to their advantage.  Awareness is key to stopping intrusion in favor of wise choices.Think how different music can energize, regulate heart rhythm, or inspire relaxation.  What lyrics are riding on these deliberately tuned frequencies?  Be consciously aware of those lyrics because they are vibrationally intruding on your subconsious.MK Ultra mind control often uses both audible and subaudible frequencies to vibrate neuron pathways in the brain for mind control purposes.  Phone tone calls are a means of triggering programmed action, much like the ting on your phone alerts you to respond to a text- only with more intense demand. It was once believed that harmonic programming could only be deprogrammed by the same harmonic triggering. In fact, it is possible to deprogram technologically imposed programs through photographic conscious recall of those tones!  When I mentioned the sound of your text tone, could you hear it in your mind?Just like that song playing in your head can remind you of the time you fell in love, remembering a harmonic tone, how it was delivered, and by whom can diffuse the program when written out by hand. Asking yourself questions such as “what makes me think I have been programmed with frequency” and “who told me that” can open neuron pathways. If your brain's neuron pathways trigger open with tones from Tibetan bowls or chimes, what flashes in your mind? Write it out.For generations birthright information on our mind brain function has been suppressed, causing us to forget that we have photographic memory capability! By forgetting to use this capability, healing from within becomes disrupted by outside input. Knowledge that is our defense against mind control, is also our birthright path to healing from within. We have been blessed with resiliency of body, mind, and spirit. When we access our divine photographic memory to remember who we are and why we are here, there is no limit to the healing that can occur… harmonic programming and all!

I share other historical examples of how companies align themselves with political and social trends, such as the unexpected rise of the disposable diaper and women's fashion trends-- from flapper dresses to the"sad beige mom" aesthetic. Every advertisement has a hidden message, and this episode reveals some of the most telling.
