Join me and Stefanie Jung, who is an Intuitive Eating Health Coach, in an extremely valuable conversation around all things health and intuitive eating. We cover: - How your relationship to food is a direct reflection of your relationship to life itself & how to work with that in real life. - How Stefanie developed anorexia and then binge eating and bulimia and how she overcame these. - Type A personalities and if you're one of these, how-to honour this in yourself without it harming you. - High standards - low expectations (link to my reference in this conversation around this: https://victoriakleinsman.com/mindset/high-standards-low-expectations/ ) - How to "do health" without "being on a diet" - including endorsing what could be seen as "diet behaviours" but are in fact an act of self-care. - Sugar addiction and hedonic eating - And more!

In today's episode, I talk with Stefanie Jung, a holistic health coach helping women heal their relationship with food and body. Stefanie openly shares her struggles with her body image and eating disorder and how she finally healed herself with journaling and working with a health coach. She also tells us the good and bad of going through this healing process while in a relationship. One thing I appreciate about Stefanie is her honesty with her community about what she is currently working on - because this work to have a healthy relationship with food and body is never done! She explains how some days are easier than others, but she tells us how she now knows her triggers and how to deal with them. Lastly, we talk about how she intuitively moves her body and the differences between diet culture in different countries and continents. We discuss what it means to have a destructive relationship with food and body image and steps to take to start healing yourself
After battling with and overcoming anorexia and bulimia, Stefanie Jung is helping young girls and women overcome their own struggles to find their health equilibrium. The passionate health advocate knows the value of the right mindset when it comes to serious lifestyle change and is using her blog Wholesome Stef to spread this positive message. Stef is not afraid to talk about the dark times she endured and her raw and honest approach is why she is now so successful at helping others defeat their eating disorders (ED). We talk about what it was like living with an ED, how she overcame it and where to start with breaking away. With so many young girls and women facing the pressures of body image, the rate of anorexia, bulimia and body dysmorphic disorder are staggeringly high, and Stef works to empower them to health through education, lifestyle tips, recipes and of course, her own experience I absolutely loved chatting with this brave, beautiful and inspiring soul.
